Due to work, I live in Bellevue, Washington and in Laguna Niguel, California. I’m fortunate to have access to LifeTime facilities in both cities. I would like to point out that Coda has set the bar and expectations high for how the front desk should be. The front desk representatives in Bellevue should take note that they are the face of the gym for first impressions. I suggest they experience a rotation in Laguna Niguel and watch first hand what true customer service is.

I absolutely LOVE this gym and have been meaning to write a review for some time now. I became a member a couple of years ago when I found out that my insurance plan included membership here. There are restricted days and hours, but I don't have a problem with that as I have a lot of flexibility with my work schedule.
The front desk knows customer service!! Koda, front desk manager, has always been helpful, and his communication skills are top notch. In other words, he follows up and gets you the answers you need in a timely manner. Also, Krysta as concierge worked with me on changing my membership, and again, she was responsive, helpful and so accommodating with answering my questions and explaining pricing.
Now the best part of the club are the instructors!! Sharyn is absolutely a dynamo and her energy is contagious. I love how she does the strength classes with us while groaning, sweating and laughing so she can feel our pain (LOL). I always seem to find new muscles that are sore the day after. And Juli R. who teaches Life Barre Fusion and Pilates Fusion is an amazing athlete and really knows how to inspire and motivate. Underneath her calm and peaceful demeanor though is a tough teacher who always challenges and motivates us. These are just a couple of my regular instructors that I go to, but it seems that all of them are top notch and the best in their industry.
Their cafe always offers tasty and nutritious food and protein drinks after a workout. Again, the staff is well trained and helpful. Always nice to grab something when I'm in a hurry.

Three Weeks In… and Dustin Already Ruined Every Other Trainer for Me (In the Best Way Possible)

I’ve only been a member at Life Time for three weeks, but it took exactly one session with Dustin to understand why people rave about him. The man is basically the gym’s unofficial mayor, everyone knows him, everyone likes him, and somehow he remembers everyone’s name, goals, injuries, and preferred level of sarcasm.

From the moment you meet him, Dustin has this easy, friendly energy that makes you feel like you’ve known him for years. He’s genuinely funny (not trainer-funny, actually funny), and he builds trust so quickly you almost forget you’re supposed to be skeptical of someone holding a kettlebell near your face.

What really sets him apart is his knowledge. He doesn’t just “count reps”; he actually explains what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and how it’ll help, without making you feel like you accidentally wandered into a biomechanics lecture. And when you think you can’t do something, his positivity and encouragement somehow get you there without the cringe inspirational quotes.

He’s also incredibly accommodating when it comes to scheduling; if you have a chaotic schedule, he’ll work around it without making you feel like you’re inconveniencing him. That alone deserves five stars.

But the best part? Dustin genuinely cares. You can feel it. He pays attention, he listens, he adjusts, he checks in, and he celebrates the small wins like they’re championship victories. It’s rare… and honestly refreshing. I’m elated to continue working with him and can’t wait to see my body’s growth.

Life Time hit the jackpot with him. If you’re considering a personal trainer, save yourself the trial-and-error and just book Dustin. You’ll thank me later (after you’re done being sore).

I've been a member at Life Time Fitness for quite a while now, and while the facility has always been top-notch and the staff consistently friendly, I felt compelled to write this review because of one standout trainer: Dustin.

From the moment you walk in, Dustin greets you with such genuine warmth and positivity that it feels like reconnecting with a close friend. His energy is contagious, and no matter what kind of day you're having, he has a way of lifting your spirits. Beyond the cheerful demeanor, he's incredibly helpful—always ready to offer guidance, encouragement, or just a quick check-in to make sure you're on track.

In a place filled with great people, Dustin still manages to shine. When someone does their job with this much heart and consistency, they deserve to be recognized. Life Time is lucky to have him, and so are we as members.

Last year our membership price increased by $40. Now this year they increased it another $70. AND FOR WHAT?? nothing has changed, the work center is an additional charge, the facility is riddled with children. I swim laps here but for some reason there’s swim team and swim lessons ALL THE TIME (at reasonable hours, we’re not all stay-at-home moms!) and I have to share a lane with 3 other swimmers!!! There’s absolutely no regard towards members. A $110 increase in only a year is INSANE. I’m now spending 5500 a year on a facility that seems to only caters towards members that don’t work 9-5 and CHILDREN. I absolutely hate this place now and have already convinced 10 other members to cancel alongside me.

I had such a great experience touring Life Time with Peter! He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough — he took the time to explain all the amenities and answer every question I had. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people find the right fit. The facility itself is beautiful and well maintained, but Peter’s friendly, professional approach really made the visit stand out. Highly recommend asking for him if you’re checking the place out!

I’ve been a member here for 5 years! I’ve had my Bose ear buds stolen from the locker room as well as horrible interactions with Julia. She really should not be working in the front of the house anywhere. Her attitude, integrity, customer care and professionalism is the worst. She literally argued with me as well as the nice girl at the front desk that ended up helping me. I asked her to hold my member ship for December and she said I had to be an active remember for 6 months the. I said that’s no problem, I was gone during the month of April but was back May 1st and paid for the month of May. She couldn’t add 6 months from May and was literally arguing with me telling me I couldn’t put a hold on my membership until January. Thank goodness I walked away from her and went to the front feat where a really nice young girl helped, I wish I remembered her name. Within a week of this horrible experience I had another one with Julia over the phone. I had just left the club and realized I left my water bottle in the locker, this particular bottle was hand made by my daughter for me becoming a Grandmother. I asked if she could go to the locker and retrieve it for me and she said no, we clean the lockers out at the end of the week. I said so I have to come back and retrieve it myself and she said yes. So I jumped on the roll road and asked immediately back to the locker room and grabbed my water bottle from the locker. She could have easily called the girl that was working in the locker room on the radio to retrieve it for me but I’ve experienced enough times that Julia and some others don’t care at all. I don’t believe I will be a member here much longer. They didn’t even ask if they could reimburse me for having to take the toll road. Customer service, integrity and professionalism is lacking at this club big time. They have no problem raising the dues every year though!.

An excellent facility and a fantastic experience! Coda at the front desk is so kind, enthusiastic, welcoming, and helpful. He sets the tone as soon as you walk in. Micki's cycle class is incredible and a superb workout! She is so inspiring and challenges you with awesome music and her leadership. She makes everyone feel welcome and a part of the class. Overall a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this quality gym!

**The Good News:** This place is nice. Really nice. Clean equipment, spacious layout, all the amenities you’d expect from a premium gym. The cold plunge, sauna, and clean towels are *chef’s kiss*.

**The Other News:** It’s giving “retired and loving it” energy. I showed up at 10am on a Tuesday ready to crush some weights, and I’m pretty sure I was the youngest person there by two decades. The café had more action than the free weights section. Someone was literally doing tai chi in the stretching area for 45 minutes. Respect, honestly.

The pool area is beautiful, but I kept expecting someone to ask me to keep it down (I wasn’t even talking). It’s like working out in a very nice, very expensive library where everyone is also doing hydrotherapy.

**The Existential Crisis:** Is this better than Equinox? I DON’T KNOW. Equinox has that “I definitely have meetings after this” energy. Life Time has “I’m meeting the golden girls for lunch at 11:30” energy. Both will enthusiastically accept your money. Life Time might give you more square footage for your dollar, but Equinox gives you more… anxiety? Motivation? The lingering scent of ambition?

**Bottom Line:** Four stars because it’s objectively a good gym, the facilities are top-notch, and honestly? Sometimes you just want to work out without feeling like you’re in a SoulCycle commercial. Just don’t expect much competition for the squat rack before noon.

*Would recommend if: You enjoy a peaceful workout, appreciate cleanliness, and don’t need high energy vibes to get motivated.*

*Would NOT recommend if: You feed off gym chaos, need to feel like you’re training for the Hunger Games, or require constant validation that you’re at the “right” gym.*

I’ve always loved Life Time Fitness at other locations, but this one has been a complete disappointment. My Apple Watch was stolen here, and instead of management being supportive or helpful, the managers were dismissive and unwilling to take meaningful action. Despite providing clear evidence, I was treated as though my concerns didn’t matter. A gym should feel safe and supportive, and management should take theft seriously but at this location, they made me feel like I was on my own. Very unprofessional and unhelpful, and I would strongly caution others about trusting this gym with their belongings.

Going to Equinox.

I had a terrible experience at the pool. The staff member NATHAN (picture attached) on duty kicked me out at 6:30pm, even though the official email from management clearly said the pool closed at 7 PM. When I showed him the proof, he said he didn’t care and claimed his manager told him otherwise. Very unprofessional, disrespectful, and not what I expect from a place like Lifetime.

The atmosphere here is terrible. The staff come across as snobbish, despite the website advertising a relaxing, welcoming vibe. It feels like just another ordinary gym, except worse. What exactly is their business model? What are they trying to promote? During the tour, the woman spoke in a low voice while walking away, making it hard to hear. Their name tags read “concierge,” but instead of feeling assisted, you’re left feeling like you should be helping them.

Really disappointed in Lifetime lately. My family and I have been members for years. They don’t even care they just love taking your money. They make no accommodations. One of the workers told me rules changes and got really strict just because the workers ruined it for everyone. Really sad that paying members get punished for it too. I don’t recommend getting a membership.

We are members for many years, stopped for the tour on Monday 3PM to check this location since we are moving to SC.
We were told by front desk girls that they have no staff working at that moment. No trainers, no sales, no manager. So noone could show us anything since it’s just them alone.
Front desk was extremely unprofessional. Someone responsible for staff training is doing a horrible job…

Would have given negative 5. They have horrible customer service. They will not help once you sign up. They made a mistake, they acknowledged it but they won’t help. The person responsible for signing us is in trouble but they will not let us talk to a manager. And the staff can’t help it override only manager can. Went in person, drove 35 minutes to speak to someone in person but no manager was available. They asked me to come the next day at 1. Went in today and they told me at 1:00 that there is a manager but is busy in back to back meetings till 6:00pm. After that he will leave so no one is available again. I requested to speak to someone else or another manager but they said no one is available. They asked me to come and try again later !!! How is this acceptable????? They should go out of their way to make amends but instead they just don’t care ! Won’t refund / won’t cancel without a month pay when she admits they made a mistake when signing us and giving a personal tour!!!!
There are so many gyms
Please go where they treat you well

Been a member for nearly 2 years now. I have a 2.5 and 4.5 years old for context a few things to call out:

1) Daycare program is amazing for kids and allows me and my wife to time dropoffs in the morning and maximize personal time working out or switching off. All the staff is amazing, always welcoming and smiling, especially Riley in kids academy.
2) Amazing facility for all things fitness and self care
3) Staff is amazing everywhere. Koda always takes a moment out of his day to give you a smile, a fist bump and is available if you need anything. I lost my wallet (left in a locker) and didn't know I lost it until Koda told me because he recognized my ID and me.

Koda!!

I’m new to this facility…Just over 2 months.

My favorite part about visiting the club is the warm welcome I receive from the front desk.

So early in the morning…Koda is never too busy to say hello, offer a warm smile, and all while multi tasking and maintaining a very busy desk.

He is professional and is always happy to see me walk in; this makes my day off to a great start!

Thank you Koda for your kindness!
I appreciate you!
Your customer service is second to none!

People make the difference in just about any situation and scenario…Koda is an excellent example!

Thank you so much…

Koda: this review is coming 6 months later. What an amazing friend you’ve been to me. I will miss talking about scary movies. I will miss your amazing smile every morning. You are a GEM.

My experience with you has made Lifetime worth it. I love laughing at 5:30 in the morning!!

If Lifetime fitness were looking for someone like you they would not find you.

The world is a better place because of you. I’m happy to have known you. You’re smart, personal and so gifted beyond words and recognition!

Thank you for being a gift in my life. Truly.
Much love from a Friend.

Thank you for your amazing time and attention Koda!!!!!!!!!! What a gift….

I visited the club as a guest to take a yoga class and joined immediately! Day 1 I met Koda at the front desk who made me feel right at home, set me up with a membership advisor, and has greeted me (nearly) every day since with a big smile and friendly hello! He made me feel at home from the start and brightens up my day every time I visit, letting me know of any new upgrades or club features I may not have used yet, like the mobile ordering to the cafe which I now live on. There is so much to do here, the facilities have so much to offer and the custodial staff keeps it immaculate for us! Machines are always working, amd the special events are fun and engaging; like the recent Puppy Yoga benefit which Karen and the concierge worked very patiently with me to add guests and we all had a blast! This gym is a second home to my family now thanks in large part to Koda and the rest of the staff whom I cannot speak highly enough about.

I sent this email to the LT Shop:

“To whom it may concern:

I bought a gift certificate from your website on 12/24/24 for $150. My mother never received the email for the gift certificate. I even double checked in the confirmation email that I had entered the correct email, which I did. So, I forwarded her the email I received from your website claiming that it was sent to her. I also called the number on the website and left a voicemail to resolve the issue. No one ever called me back.

She then booked her massage today, 2/19/25, and the employees at the Laguna Niguel Lifetime Spa did not honor the certificate and informed her that the website is a separate entity from the spa. Therefore, my mother had to pay out of pocket.

She has been under a tremendous amount of stress, and her doctor told her to do something for herself to decrease her stress levels. So, she scheduled her massage at one of your properties. She ended up leaving very frustrated and stressed again.

I would like to be refunded my money and receive a free massage for my mom.”

Their response is in the picture below.

I’m disappointed with their customer service.

They basically got $300 out of us.

I will not use their services again.

It’s an ok club - nice to be able to use other clubs out of state depending upon the level of membership.

It’s gets crowded after work hours and ppl still have bags on the floor even after we all got that email said it’s not allowed

Annnnd those people next to you working out… they probably don’t wash their hands. So many times I notice ppl jet out the bathroom onto the floor wo washing. Gross but I guess that’s the areas vibe

Edit: December 2024 visiting family from out of state. Still nobody wipes down machines after use. Odd any other lifetime … Brooklyn, dumbo, midtown … Clarendon … much cleaner. But they also are newer

I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service at Lifetime Laguna Niguel. The management is abysmal, showing little to no regard for member satisfaction. The sales team operates with deceptive practices, making false promises to attract new members. For instance, they assured me of a specific price point with access to multiple Lifetime locations, only to reverse that policy a month later. As a result, members are left with less than what was originally promised, creating a bait-and-switch experience.

The pressure to sign up for personal training is another glaring issue. The sales team’s aggressive tactics often border on harassment, making the enrollment process uncomfortable and unprofessional.

My experience with the LifeSpa further underscored the lack of customer care. The manager was unreasonably rude and dismissive, showing no willingness to accommodate or address unforeseen circumstances. It’s clear that Lifetime prioritizes enforcing its rigid, profit-driven policies over supporting its members’ needs.

That said, the Operations team is a bright spot in an otherwise poorly managed club. They do an excellent job maintaining cleanliness and creating a positive atmosphere for members. It’s disheartening that Lifetime undervalues such dedicated employees by paying them the least compared to other departments.

Overall, Lifetime Laguna Niguel seems to prioritize profits over people, leaving loyal members to feel undervalued and misled. I cannot recommend this location until significant improvements are made in their management and policies.

I used to be a member of this Lifetime but got so sick of their racism and discrimination that I cancelled my membership a few months ago and joined another club.
My daughter, Who lives out of state and was visiting for the weekend asked me if I would like to go work out with her as a guest at lifetime here in LN. I agreed because it would be fun.
When I walked in I remembered why I had left this place.
I scanned the QR code on the guest pass and the lady asked me for ID. I showed her my digital ID. She did not accept that!
She wanted a physical ID.
Mind you these digital IDs are issued by DMV.
All this time, my daughter who is a member is standing there.
What was the problem letting me in.
Wouldn’t have been an issue if I was white.

had a frustrating experience at recently. I brought a guest with me, and we ended up waiting at the door for 10 minutes. The front desk lady however did her best to help us. The process for bringing a guest has become unnecessarily complicated. My guest was required to download the gym’s app and go through a lengthy sign-up process. I don’t understand why a simple guest visit requires a lifetime application to be installed.

I hope the gym reconsiders this process to make it more user-friendly for guests.

I visited the Laguna Niguel location as a guest of a paying member (her membership is from the east coast). I will say the facility is beautiful and has great amenities as expected. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. We scheduled massages and I requested Gua Sha as an additional service but the masseuse was not trained and was not able to deliver that part of the service. It was no big deal as the massage was great. After our massages we decided to go outside and use the pool and jacuzzi. This is where the disappointment comes in. After a while we decided to order food and drinks, there were many wait staff walking around and serving other guests near us. We kept calling them to take our order and we were completely ignored. My friend decided to walk over to the fitness café and placed the order directly, they gave us a buzzer and after an hour waiting for a salad, a chicken sandwich and a turkey burger and walking over to check on the food in between they finally buzzed us. The sandwiches were ice cold as if they were left on the counter for an hour. No one cared, they didn't give an option to warm up or replace. The wait staff was nonchalant and one even shrugged her shoulders. Its a shame, I expected common courtesy especially in a place such as this. I was embarrassed for my friend as she kept apologizing and stating this was not the experience she hoped for. Shame on you Lifetime, you shouldn't dismiss people based on the color of their skin! It was blatant and very disappointing.

I am a current active member at LifeTime Charlotte, visiting family I have in town. From my understanding, I am allotted a certain amount of passes per year to access all the other LifeTime locations. The first time I came here a few weeks ago, I got a very friendly staff member who allowed me to workout with one of my guest passes.

Yesterday, not the case. The blonde managers, Jeckyll and Hyde, turned me away because I was at “the lower tier of my membership” and access to this location isn’t “part of my plan”. They said I wasn’t allowed to use my own guest passes for entry (and I was happy to pay the $50 “One Day Membership”) but they didn’t even offer that as an option to me. There was no “sorry about that” or “let’s discuss your membership options”, they both tagged teamed together against me and turned me away like I was some bum off the street with smirks on their faces.

LifeTime Laguna Niguel, do better about who represent as the faces of your establishment. What a COLD way to treat a member visiting from out of town.

Save yourselves the trip and go to LifeTime Lakeshore Irvine instead, they are much more pleasant and welcoming. Xx

Horrific Experience with Front Desk Employee PARSA– AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I never have I encountered the level of unprofessionalism and downright hostility that I experienced recently. If there was an option to give zero stars, I wouldn't hesitate.

The incident occurred last Saturday when I approached the front desk to inquire about my membership. The employee, Parsawhose behavior was absolutely vile, not only greeted me with a dismissive and rude attitude but also proceeded to use foul language towards me. I was utterly shocked and appalled by his lack of respect and professionalism.

But wait, it gets worse. After I expressed my dissatisfaction with his behavior, he escalated the situation by threatening me with bodily harm! Yes, you read that correctly – he actually told me he would physically harm me. This is beyond unacceptable and completely outrageous. To add insult to injury, he arrogantly claimed to be the general manager, which I sincerely hope is a blatant lie because if this is the kind of person Lifetime Fitness puts in charge, then this establishment is in serious trouble.

I am genuinely concerned for the safety and well-being of all members if this individual continues to work at this location. No one should ever feel threatened or be subjected to such unprofessional conduct when simply trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I implore Lifetime Fitness to take immediate action to investigate this incident and take necessary disciplinary measures. This egregious behavior should not be tolerated under any circumstances. Until then, I will refrain from visiting this location and will make sure to spread the word about my horrific experience. Lifetime Fitness, get your act together and ensure that your members are treated with the respect and care they deserve.

I joined lifetime Laguna niguel at the beginning of 2019 and recommended it to many people. Even during the covid when many people were reluctant to go, I never stopped. Because my work location changed, I joined Equinox in early 2022. After comparison, I found 1 .At lifetime the courses instructor can get more classs by have relationship with the manager, so some very good coaches have to be scheduled for some bad times because they do not have such a friendly relationship with the manager, which leads to their The course has been bad! 2. the prices of these two clubs are similar, but whether it is the cleaning after each class, the cleanliness of the yoga mats, or the hygiene of the bathroom, lifetime is much dirtier than Equinox and it can be said that there is basically no one to clean it! So a year later, when lifetime notified rise price again (yes, they kept raising prices, it didn’t matter how long you were a member or the service, they just kept raising prices), I finally made up my mind to stop their service. , and will never go back, and as far as I know, many members have left...

I have been a member since 2006, starting out at the Laguna Niguel Club. Several months ago, I switched my home club to the San Clemente club. My membership fee went up, but I was allowed to use both locations. This Sunday, I was informed my membership would only include San Clemente if I paid a new membership startup fee of $1,000 and my monthly fee would also increase. Nice job, Lifetime!

The good: beautiful large gym, clean and well maintained. There are numerous classes and the instructors are usually very good, as are the personal trainers.

Needs improvement: The gym is pricey and that may be why some of the club members are inconsiderate. While there is a large weight area it is ofter hard to find a free machine. The floor is almost always busy (even hours that for most gym would be slower). There is very little gym etiquette. Members frequently don't wipe down the equipment after using, don't want anyone to work in with them (spend the time between sets checking their phones), drop weights even if you're working on a connected machine, etc. Spoke to a representative of the gym today and she told me that they send out an email on gym etiquette and that is all they can do. She recommended that I come in off-peak hours which in her mind was before 8AM and after 8PM. Before this club I was belonged to a cross-fit gym where there was a great sense of community. That is non-existent here.

The staff that deals with membership are not as knowledgeable as I would expect them to be. I've asked them membership questions on different occasions and they typically say they "think" or they're not sure and unless I ask specifically they won't go the extra step to find out the answer.

Staff is friendly, however facilities do not justify the membership price. The management all look nice and all but do not prioritize what is most important in a high end fitness facility, which is variety of equipment, and continuous maintenance to assure all equipment is functioning properly. They have people wiping windows and rails while maintenance of equipment is largely ignored. There are also constant issues with jacuzzis. They don’t seem to have a proper maintenance crew who know what they are doing. On the surface they do a good job masking the problems of this gym, which is poor management focused on increasing membership price and not the true quality of every nuance of a high end facility

I would highly suggest wanting to make a gym investment or commitment to stay away from this gym and company. We have been loyal and committed members for 4+ years and had our membership increased recently 46%. As a business owner, its my job to keep costs down and affordable for my customers/clients. This company and their executive/management team failed. They should be ashamed. Also expect it a couple days to hear back from management and to be told their e-mails get forward to a concierge team and that you are getting a savings over new members. This is a sales tactic, I inquired as a new client and was quoted the very same "discounted rate" as a new client. Be aware, this company has unethical sales tactics.

I’ve read all 238 reviews. Many of the negative reviews seem isolated. Generally the club is good but it could be much better with the right staff…at the front desk, membership office, pool, and especially the cafe. When I order food, the Gen Z teenagers in the cafe look at me as if I’ve unreasonably burdened them lol. Superior customer service skills ought to be a prerequisite for positions here given what members pay to access this facility. Smile, make eye contact, say good morning, greet people appropriately.

I have not had any issue with rules, payment, fees, cancellation etc. I don’t intend to maintain my membership here.

It’s a club for adult parents with children/families.

I used to go to Life Time San Clemente and loved it. However I recently moved to Laguna Niguel so thought I’d try the one here and keep my membership as it was close by. I signed up for 4 personal training sessions and paid up front. On my way downstairs I thought I would pop in and book a facial appt. I went to the locker room to grab my phone to get my schedule. As I approached the spa front desk I noticed a really strong chemical smell and immediately my eyes started burning. I saw the spa attendant had been using a cleaner right before I approached. I told her my eyes were burning and that I was having a reaction to the cleaner and she grabbed me water and tissues to splash my eyes with. After gaining my composure I went home only to get terrible body aches throughout the night and felt very ill the next day. Sick enough to have to call out of work. I had to cancel the facial and personal training session I had that day due to the reaction. After 48 hours I went back in and asked to see the cleaner so I could take to my doctor to see why I had such a bad reaction. The cleaner clearly states: DANGER! Do not get near eyes or skin etc. Come to find out from the GM Barry Stevens, the spa attendant was cleaning the white board with it and the gym uses this cleaner a couple times a day to clean the equipment. They had the video of what happened and he said I came in contact with the cleaner at about 30 seconds after being sprayed. I was kind of gaslit about my experience and so I asked to cancel my membership. The GM said we usually require a 30 day notice to cancel but in your case we will do you a favor and cancel the next day. Wow! I obviously know that’s there policy but he had to make it a point he was doing me a favor. They owed me $600 for the personal trainings I never got to take and have only credited me back $450 thus far! I just left Another message to receive my remaining $150 with the GM. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM! They use 3M Sharp Shooter heavy duty mark remover to clean their gym equipment ! If you see them cleaning with this do not come in close contact!!!!

While the equipment is ok, the service quality and the staff's demeanor make this place truly outstanding - in a bad way. The outside pool staff is consistently rude, complicated by ever-changing rules to maximize profit. You want to sit in one of the lounge chairs with your family? Nope! They are now reserved for VIP customers willing to pay a couple 100 dollars to rent them - surprisingly nobody does and they are 99% empty. You want to bring some food for your kids? Nope! You now have to buy their cafe's food, whether you like it or not! And hurry up, because the cafe is only open a few hours. Outside their time? Who cares!?! If you want to come there to have a good time with your family, look elsewhere. If you want to have a workout, look elsewhere. Or ask yourself: Why should I pay premium, if all I get is bad service, ever-changing rules reducing what you payed for, rude staff and standard equipment.

I was a member of this club for 6 months. I did sign up for the Kids Academy which I was very happy with on the start. There was amazing assistant manager who was the back bone of the academy. After he got transferred the academy manager was not able to keep the academy running in the same way. They were extremely short staffed. Me and other moms were offering temporary help. Surprisingly, our applications were denied due to lack of experience. I have received email that this club welcome members as a stuff members, again…. Bite and switch kind of tactic. Kids were turned down from classes or they would put 20 kids into a small class per teacher. The academy is managed by school kids. Classes are being canceled without notice. Manager doesn’t reply to emails or phone calls. The academy is not managed professionally. We have decided to cancel due to realization, that this place doesn’t offer anything they try to sell you on. If you decide to send you kids over here, ask questions about who is with your kids during your work out, how many kids is there per teacher, stay there to see how they take care of your kids and keep checking on your kids. This place mastered giving excellent first impression, but we have experienced many employees that are there just for the paycheck and have no business being around kids. I wouldn’t expect this two face attitude in a place that works with kids. As far as the gym goes, god forbids that you ask if your trainer has any experience. In the initial training session that is part of the signing up package, my trainer was quick to inform me that training is $170 an hour. Not to mention, that the same trainer was talking trash talk about members that were obese. Again…. In the lifetime fitness works, you should open your wallet to them and be glad that they tolerate you there. Expect face promises for your hard earned money. And, if you apply for a job at the kids academy… just know that having kids will automatically disqualify you from getting a job.

This particular lifetime gym in Laguna Niguel is spectacular first of all it is two stories ....huge floor space you have every modern and old-school equipment you can think of spread out smartly on the second floor . we're talking tons of different plate loaded machines and basic free weights and dumbbells. The cardio selection upstairs is also very impressive you also have big size TVs all around so you can catch a game while you are maxing out on your incline bench press. They have way too many amenities to mention here like Spa ,restaurant area ,massage area, yoga, spin classes. downstairs, you have a big swimming pool with a huge sauna and steam room. Actually I was so impressed with this gym I'm seriously thinking about applying to join this first class organization that provided me spectacular customer service rarely seen anywhere else. and also remember there are many locations across the country two in Orange County that I can think of one in San Clemente and one in Laguna Niguel they just opened one in San Diego also in the La Jolla area. This gym definitely deserves the five stars and is highly recommended

This place is my 2nd home! I’ve been coming here for about 3 years. It saved my mental health during the pandemic with their offerings of outdoor classes. The staff come to know you by name and they have excellent customer service.

It's alright a lot of juice heads but they aren't as arrogant as the juice heads at 24 so that was refreshing to see.

I have held many gym memberships from budget to high tiered gyms and everything in between. LifeTime is a quality choice with one caveat.

-Pros
The facility is very clean and is constantly tended to by staff. There are many options in terms of gym equipment and cardio machines. I’ve never had to wait to use a machine or platform even at peak hours. There are 9 Olympic lifting platforms so this is a plus.

-Cons
A big drawback is that the gymnasium is never available for basketball use, it is always used by a club volleyball team at peak hours (3:30PM-9:30PM). This has held it back from being a destination for competitive pick-up basketball. If you want to play good pick up ball stick to 24 or LA Fitness, otherwise it is a quality gym that is just a notch below Equinox.
