People are crazy with their expectations. This place destroys all of the other gyms in this area. People just like to complain. This place has a really good and professional staff. It's mostly clean and the equipment is well maintained. The amenities are amazing and yes sometimes they are shut down but never for long. Don't listen to these whiners.

I’ve been a member at the Walnut Creek Lifetime Gym for a while now, and I’m honestly frustrated with the state of the facilities. For $329 a month, you would expect much better quality and service, but unfortunately, that’s not the case here.

First off, the sauna and steam room are consistently dirty. The floors are often grimy, and there’s a strong smell of mildew that lingers. It’s honestly gross, and it’s clear these areas aren’t being cleaned regularly, which is unacceptable for a gym that charges so much.

The cold plunge pool is another issue. It’s always half-empty, and it’s never properly cleaned. It’s a huge letdown, especially considering it’s one of the few amenities I use to unwind after a workout.
The showers are just as bad — they always smell, and the whole area feels neglected. Not to mention, the toilet stalls are often dirty. I shouldn’t have to be concerned about hygiene in a place I pay a premium for.

The towels are hit-or-miss, and when they’re clean, they still feel rough and poorly maintained. And don’t even get me started on the hairdryers — they’re old, barely work, and it’s clear they haven’t been replaced in years.

I’ve come to expect better from a gym of this price point, but the lack of maintenance and cleanliness is beyond disappointing. Honestly, I’m seriously considering canceling my membership because for $329/month, this place should be much better. They need to step it up or stop charging these outrageous fees.

It is unacceptable to have such filthy and worn out mats in a facility where they charge $400 for monthly fees. It’s unhygenic. No matter how many times I have contacted the management, the level of dirt on each mat has stayed the same. I see an occasional employee wiping down the machines and vacuuming but I have never seen anyone other than us patrons clean the mats. Here are the photos after I lightly wiped one of the mats. Its disgusting. I have emailed and sent messages about this many times and now the time has come to post these so everyone can see.

As a first time facial customer, my experience with aesthetician Sadaf was exceptional. She was friendly, professional, & very kind. I had many questions regarding skincare & Sadaf answered them with ease. She immediately made feel so relaxed & comfortable I fell asleep. I would whole heartedly recommend her on your next trip to Life Time.
My visit to Life Time also included a massage by Michael. He was amazing…perfect amount of pressure. I left there feeling like a new person.
Both Sadaf & Michael have magical hands. Well done!!!

This was a first time experience for me. Sadaf did a superb job. I so enjoyed the facial. Sadaf made me feel welcome and comfortable. Such a professional. I was so very happy with the results. I will definitely return and ask for Sadaf the next time I visit Walnut Creek.

I also had a massage from Michael. Just the right amount of pressure. Outstanding experience. The focus was on the massage and not the conversation. Michael has 20 years of experience and it shows. Worth returning to for future masages.

I absolutely love Lifetime Fitness. The location is incredibly convenient, and having such a well-equipped workout facility nearby is a huge plus. Everything is spotless—the entire gym is maintained with a level of cleanliness that really stands out. The weight room is one of the most thoughtfully organized I’ve seen, with everything laid out in a way that makes your workout flow smoothly. And the rooftop pool? Absolutely gorgeous. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a session or just enjoy the view. Couldn’t ask for a better fitness experience!

I am quite surprised by the negative reviews. This is a smaller gym compared to all other gyms. There are times of the days when it is quite full but even then you can still do great workouts. The equipment in the gym is clean and do not stink like I’ve seen at all the other gyms. They have a great recovery area. Their classes are great. The instructors are competent, kind and respectful. The lockers are well-maintained. The showers have rainfall options. There’s complete toiletry you need. There’s a cold plunge, hot tub, sauna and swimsuit dryer on each of the locker rooms. The pool is kept at an 80F temperature. There’s places you can chill after working out that don’t stink. It’s an expensive place but I think it’s worth it. People who are angry in the reviews are maybe angry for other reasons other than the gym itself.

The one star notch is for the LifeTime Cafe. People who sell there are not very personable and as if you are bothering them with your order. They could improve on their customer service.

This gym is consistently clean, never overcrowded, and exudes a luxurious hotel-like ambiance upon entry.

Beyond the impressive amenities and spotless facilities—a significant improvement over my experience with 24 Hour Fitness—the staff truly stands out. Everyone is exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and easy to connect with. Special shoutouts to Averie at the front desk, who simply is the best and Daniel the personal trainer who is extremely knowledgeable

The warm, approachable staff makes it hard to consider switching gyms, even when tempted to try somewhere new.

The equipment is top-notch, rarely out of service, and any repairs are handled swiftly.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Avery at Lifetime Fitness in Walnut Creek, and I can't say enough good things about her! From the moment I walked in, she was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Avery took the time to really listen to my fitness goals and concerns, and she helped me create a workout plan that was both challenging and achievable. Her knowledge and passion for fitness are evident, and she provided valuable guidance on proper form and technique. Thanks to Avery's support and encouragement, I'm already seeing progress and feeling more motivated than ever. If you're looking for a personal trainer who is dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about your success, I highly recommend Avery!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My younger brother and I joined this gym about two weeks ago. From the start, we felt that the staff were arrogant, but we met one staff member who was kind, patient, and respectful, so we thought maybe it was just Avery and Chazz. We were wrong; it was just that one person who was nice, and he hadn't even told us they were arrogant. The cold plunge has been closed most of the time we've been here, which was one of the main reasons we joined. To join, they requested two forms of ID and proof of residency. We showed them and joined. However, they asked my brother to update his proof on the app. He said no problem. A week passed, and we came again, and he was stopped and not allowed to enter unless he showed it (although it had been shown previously). He didn't, of course, have it on him as he was just coming to work out. Chazz was extremely rude and almost yelling. We kindly asked for a refund and were declined, so here we are, two weeks in with an extremely bad experience after paying almost $500. I advise anyone planning on joining to join the Bay Club instead.

Life Time Fitness in Walnut Creek is by far the worst gym when it comes to dealing with member disputes. The management shows clear favoritism, especially towards older, wealthy members, while unfairly targeting others based on false accusations. Despite providing substantial evidence and having over 20 members willing to vouch for me, neither the manager Jess nor the Member Relations representative Babb have been helpful or fair in resolving my situation.

One major issue I faced involved a member named Tim, an older white male who is around 80 years old and is known for his entitled and problematic behavior. He is often insecure and causes issues for many members. Tim has a reputation for feeling superior due to his wealth and lifestyle, and his actions often go unchecked by management. One day, while I was sitting in my car, Tim approached me and started yelling through my window, creating a scene in the parking lot. The situation was so hostile that another member had to intervene and deescalate the conflict. Despite this unprovoked aggression, management did nothing to address Tim’s behavior.

Another issue involved a member named Noel, who falsely accused me of “following women around the gym.” This baseless accusation stems from jealousy, as Noel has shown envious behavior toward me in the past due to my success and lifestyle. The accusation makes no sense since I have a girlfriend and many female friends at the gym who know me well and can vouch for my respectful behavior. Regardless, management took his word without investigating or considering the overwhelming support I received from other members.

Life Time Fitness Walnut Creek seems to cater specifically to older, wealthy white males, especially if they have a relationship with the manager. Even if these members make false complaints, the manager is quick to act against those being accused, without taking the time to investigate or evaluate the evidence fairly. The manager Jess and Member Relations representative Babb have been completely dismissive and unwilling to listen to my side of the story, even when presented with clear evidence and numerous supportive statements from other members.

This gym is notorious for its toxic environment, partly due to its management style. Many members have complained about the inconsistency, favoritism, and the manager’s tendency to take sides without thoroughly investigating the situation. Even after members have made complaints on my behalf and offered to vouch for me, management has refused to properly address the situation.

If you value fairness and respect in a gym environment, I strongly advise against joining Life Time Fitness in Walnut Creek. The management’s bias, unprofessionalism, and lack of accountability make it the worst gym experience I’ve ever had. You are better off choosing a more inclusive and professionally managed fitness club in the area. I would highly recommend Club Studio for anybody looking for an inclusive and positive gym experience.

Updated: 12/21/24:

Lifetime seems to listen to complaints, they added a new squat rack outside of the alpha rack area. The alpha class size was reduced to allow normal gym goers access to the 2 of the racks during a class. Equipment is moving around to be more efficient. A new recovery area is being setup for cryotherapy, etc. I really appreciate that they are active in their changes.

Also not crowded at all, never have to wait for any equipment.

I don’t understand why other reviewers were unhappy. I’m a lifetime member in New York City and was in California visiting a friend so we checked out the Walnut Creek location together. It’s huge, clean, and the staff were all professional and polite. It was nice getting a workout in during vacation and I really enjoyed the recovery area which had 2 hydro chairs. I had a yummy chicken sandwhich at the cafe. Overall I cannot think of one thing I’d like to see improved.

I absolutely love the concept of Life Time Gym. While it’s not perfect, it offers a wide range of amenities and services that go beyond a typical fitness center. The customer service is excellent—staff members are attentive, helpful, and do a great job of listening and providing guidance when needed.

The facilities are well-maintained overall, though some areas, like the common spaces, could be a bit cleaner given how heavily they are used. That said, the locker rooms are kept in decent condition despite high traffic.

The only major issue I’ve noticed is with the plumbing. As a new three-level building, there seem to be significant P-trap problems, leading to a sewage smell that lingers throughout the facility. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like management fully understands how to resolve this, which is disappointing.

Despite this, Life Time remains a fantastic place to work out, offering a great atmosphere, quality equipment, and a variety of services and classes that make it stand out from other gyms.

I have had the absolute privilege of having Sebastian as my personal trainer for the past 2 months. Not only has he helped me achieve my goals of strengthening my body and losing weight, but he has been an inspiration, a life coach, and a friend. He helped to hold me accountable, gave me confidence that I could reach my goals, and made sure I showed up and worked hard at each session. Sebastian is very good at his job as a trainer- he is knowledgable, creative, and knew how to adapt each exercise to my body type and ability. He pushed me to strive for more and was always a positive encouragement throughout each session. This experience has been well worth the time and money and if I had the opportunity to work with Sebastian again, I would do it in a heartbeat! My friends and family all commented on how good I looked and how much positivity and energy I carry now! What a blessing and boost to my life that I needed so bad.

We had an appointment to check this gym and called in advance to see if we can use their pool while visiting. The guy we talk to said they don’t do day-pass but he can accommodate us this time and he keeps saying he is doing us a huge favor which sounds very odd as we were the one deciding if we want to do business with them.
Then we went there with our gears and front desk told us that it is not possible to use the pool and the stuff should have said that. He was extremely rude and acted like it is our fault. We asked to talk with the guy and he continued to be very rude and unprofessional but he finally said he will call the guy. We waited for a long time and the guy didn’t show up and we decided they will not get our business. For a gym in this price range we expected much better staff and accommodations.
We ended up checking Forma gym and it was cozier and cheaper with very professional and helpful and nicer staff.

I am writing this review to express my deep concern regarding the security at Life Time. My husband recently had his wallet stolen from a locker, and one of his cards was quickly used to charge over $13,000 in fraudulent charges at Costco in Concord! We were informed by the police that this is not an isolated incident!! The officer informed us that this particular crime is continuously being reported multiple times a month from members at this Life Time! Absolutely despicable.

Upon returning to his locker, my husband found it completely unlocked, raising serious questions about the security measures in place. This situation is not only incredibly traumatic for us but has also resulted in our bank accounts being locked and our trust being absolutely lost in Life Time.

I urge management to address this alarming issue immediately. It is unacceptable for members to feel unsafe or be targeted while using your facilities. This has been a terrible experience and ever more concerning with police suggesting this might be an inside job.

I am deeply disappointed by the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the staff and management at this Life Time Fitness location. A friend of mine, a highly respected software engineer and entrepreneur with a significant positive influence on the community, was wrongfully pressured to cancel his membership due to a baseless accusation from another member. The accuser was, in fact, the one engaging in harassment, yet management failed to properly assess the situation.

In any gym environment, where diverse personalities interact, it is crucial for the staff to handle conflicts fairly and objectively. Unfortunately, the management at this location did not uphold these standards. Despite being presented with testimony from over 20 members who can vouch for my friend’s positive and friendly demeanor, management refused to address the issue or correct their mistake.

Given this experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this Life Time Fitness location. The lack of professionalism and fairness demonstrated by the management is concerning, and it’s clear they do not value inclusivity or proper conflict resolution.

This is a review for the Cafe, which I was excited to try because it seemed like a healthy place to eat.

First off, they don't have any vegan entree options. Everything has cheese or meat.
So I got an acai bowl. And it was the smallest bowl I have ever seen, for like $17.
The final strike was when I asked the lady where the bathroom was, and the directed me to go passed the front desk. When I did, the front desk stopped me and asked me if I was a member. I said no, so they told me to use the bathroom across the street. What's the point of having a public cafe with no public bathrooms?

I joined Life Time Walnut Creek just after they opened in Fall 2023. Our family had been members at the Claremont until moving through the tunnel in 2018, and I was so excited when Life Time opened because it was kind of a similar vibe. I was even more excited to begin private Pilates lessons with Emy once I joined. I was coming off a pretty bad back injury, and had been unable to practice in group Pilates for some time, but figured I'd give privates a shot. Emy has been able to adapt our sessions to my exact comfort level - challenging me even when my back is really bothering me so that I have been able to come even during flare-ups, while maintaining strength and cardio. Being with her these past few months I have noticed a marked difference in muscle tone and strength, as well as in how my clothes fit and how I feel. She's really made my experience at Life Time outstanding. I'm so grateful for her careful attention and her positivity, and I look forward to coming to work with her at the gym every time I visit. Thank you, Emy for challenging me, for letting me comfortably, and for your company. You make working out at Life Time a Joy!

I would have given this gym a 3 star review for reason I will share below, but then I visited other Life Time locations in other states. They are cheaper, larger, have more amenities, and a nicer staff than the Walnut Creek one does.

The cafe prices are very high for the quality of food and the timeliness of service. I feel like for the amount paid a month, some level of discount should be offered to members. The cafe is open to the public, but I don’t feel like there is any benefit for me.

They have a class that runs straight in the middle of the free weight area. It leaves very little room in the gym if you aren’t apart of the class.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless they offered a promotional rate for an extended period of time.

They also charge extra for access to the pool, which in my opinion is very greedy.

Bay club is a far better gym for your money.

Also, in regards to security, I have seen the staff blindly open any locker that someone claims is theirs’. There is no double checking by staff to ensure the items are whose they claim to be.

Stolen credit cards:
Late sharing this as I wanted to give this gym a chance. A few months ago, I had 2 credit cards stolen out of my wallet which was locked in a locker. I was able to recover the near 60k dollars that were charged right across the street at the department stores. A couple of issues I have speaks directly to the attitude of the staff and their willingness to make policy and security changes.
1. The staff and management team did absolutely nothing to help crimes like this from potentially happening to someone else. Simple security changes and additional cameras could make a huge difference.
2. They offered no kind of additional support. After the incident, I filed a police report per their instructions, so that they could review video footage and work with me to help catch the person. After that report, silence. No follow-up no communication.
Needless to say, I stopped going to the gym as I could not feel comfortable working out and constantly thinking if the person that stole from me was still there or watching my movement. I also did not feel safe leaving my personal items and clothes in the lockers.
Based on my personal experience on how my incident was handled, I do not recommend anyone go to this gym until there are changes with security, policy and management.
I know its anecdotal but, 15 years at 24hr fitness super sport and never one issue.

Beware of the cold plunge AKA swass plunge- dudes wear their underwear they just worked out in as “swim suits”and NO ONE showers between sauna to cold plunge. LifeTime management doesn’t regulate, and thus I give you this ode of caution:

In the spa’s quiet corner, where cold waters lay still,
A plunge pool awaits, with a chill that could thrill.

Their sweaty undies, now bathing attire,
In the cold plunge they leap, fueled by desire.
But the water’s not pure, tainted by sweat,
From sauna to plunge with no shower at all, they make the regrettable bet.

In the tiny pool’s depths, they splash and they flail,
Leaving behind swass, a sweat-laden trail.

I am one of the founding members at this gym and I was super excited when the gym first opened its doors. Overall I am happy with it but there are definitely some things that could be improved.
My main concern are cameras in the sauna. Its a stylish gym which attracts young people and especially young influencers. Occasionally I would see girls and guys with their tripods recording themselves as they work out. I have no issues with that whatsoever but its a problem when you bring your cameras (phones) into the spa area of the gym. I enjoy going to a sauna and was really surprised when I saw people on their phones. I sent a couple of emails to the management mentioning that there should be a sign that would say something like “digital free zone”. I received no response at all and to my shock soon saw a sign on the door of the sauna that basically says “bring your cameras but keep them quiet”. What?! How is this possible? What about privacy?

Additionally, lets try to keep lockers clean during the day. A quick wipe throughout the day would be much appreciated. Sometimes its hard to find a clean one with no hair in it.

And management should respond to emails. Ignoring patrons is not cool especially with a $400 a month fee. If they had replied, I would not have written this on a public forum.

I want to love this gym considering how much I’m paying for a membership but I often leave feeling annoyed about something.

Pros are that the gym is new and pretty clean though I do notice most members not wiping equipment clean after using. You do get tons of nice amenities that you usually won’t get at most gyms: cafe, work area, daycare, cycling studio, tons of different group exercise classes. It does make sense to cancel any other memberships you might have at different studios since lifetime will probably have a great alternative.

Cons are that there isn’t tons of equipment in the weight area if there’s a group exercise class going on. Example- squat racks; there’s only one since the 8-10 squat racks will be used for the group exercise class. Also, there’s always something broken/out of service in the spa. I mainly got a membership to use the spa: hot tub, steam room, sauna, cold plunge but something has always been broken in the 1.5 months I’ve been a member. It’s been very annoying to go to the spa and not be able to use one of the amenities that I solely went there to use. The root top pool is always out of service too. Not much a concern now but hopefully it’s good to go by summer.

The new massage chairs are not great (identical to the ones at PF), the zero gravity recliners don’t work and should just be turned into additional dumbbells or racks. Clientele also isn’t what you expect for nearly half a grand a month lol, we’ve already had weird experiences. It’s the best option downtown, but I hope management continues to improve the weight room floor’s quality. There’s already been slight improvement but still a lot of wasted space and subpar massage / relaxation amenities.

I hope they bring a Life Time location to Mountain View/Sunnyvale area. I moved from Folsom back to the bay area and miss Life Time. Currently at Bay Club and the facilities aren't as clean.

I am quite flustered as I sit here and explain my reasoning for a 1 star review. I am a member with Lifetime Frisco TX which is an utmost reputable location and I recommend anyone visiting to go and experience the southern hospitality that’s offered on contrary however Lifetime Walnut Creek CA is quite humiliating and embarrassed me in the worst way possible as I never experienced such unpleasant professional service I do plan on reaching out to Concierge first thing Monday 12/18 because my experience this evening was absolutely unacceptable and should have been handled differently with much more respect and dignity to a member.

With Gratitude,

Absolutely unacceptable, my wife sent me this image from inside the woman’s dressing room. This is the second consecutive week she has told me something is always out of order. Inaceptable for the amount Im paying. Can’t believe the manager is okay with this.

Within 2 weeks of joining, countless issues:
- Broken sauna
- Broken steam room (twice)
- Broken cold plunge (3 times)
- Broken rooftop jacuzzi
- Broken basketball hoop
- Broken outlets/lights in co working area
- Broken espresso machine in cafe

- Yoga instructor forgot about class and showed up late
- Really dirty locker rooms/spa
- Super low quality yoga mats for classes
- No shower in spa area so jacuzzi/plunge are always dirty

All this being said, it’s still a decent gym. But I expect a lot more for $300/month. Rarely had any issues like this throughout multiple years with Equinox.

After changes made to the club I have changed my review from a 2 star to a 4 star overall.

Firstly, the club has changed their group exercise policy and it is now more reasonable. Essentially, in the past the club would take all of the squat racks from 6-7 am on Wednesdays and Fridays. Preventing anyone in the gym outside of the group workout from using them. However, they have now changed this policy so that 2 of the squat racks are always open, as well as ordering an additional squat rack to be placed outside of this area. This is a massive improvement for me, as I could only workout my legs at 6 am and now I feel that I can finally use the club according to my own schedule.

Why not a 5/5?:
The club has a few minor areas holding it back. Firstly, some of the machines in the gym do not feel biomechanically sound/I just cannot make them work for myself. The best example of this is the assisted pullup machine. I have always used a wide range of assisted pullup machines, as they are amazing for back development. However, the 2 assisted pullup machine at this location are very strange/I cannot find another "nicer" word for them. They have a rock climbing grip, and two other grips that are very "unique" compared to a traditional assisted pull up machine. I cannot make any of these grips (that are forced in place) to not hurt my shoulder. Besides these two machines, some of the row machines, overhead press machines, and a few of the other upper body machines are "unique" in a similar way. They just do not feel "right" despite myself being very experienced and versed in executing the lifts they are meant to express.

Secondly, I would really appreciate having more diversity in the attachments. More specifically, the singlehanded cable-grips. Currently, the club only has one type of single-handed-cable-grip-handles that have a wide palm grip. This causes irritation in my shoulders/I have always had to use skinnier handles to avoid this but cannot due to the club not having them. Additionally, there is a landmine attachment for every squat rack, but no landmine attachments for the barbell itself. This makes it impossible to perform a landmine row/it is a little silly that the gym has a t-landmine row attachment in all of the squat racks but no landmine row attachments for the barbell.

Also, although I am not going to be extremely picky here because it is out of the clubs control to a certain extent: The club is a bit smaller/the basketball court is slightly shortened/the pool is not heated/the floor is uneven in some areas/the mens locker room only has 2 stalls/the smoothies have caffeine but the staff doesnt know how much caffeine each smooth contains/the parking is not free after 3 hours. Overall, the club attempted to achieve so much but is limited in space- and that is felt when you use the gym.

The good:

The club is stunning, and all of the actual gear (dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells) look and feel to be a high quality. I cannot emphasize enough that the club is extremely stunning. I do however, understand how some people feel that the club looks like "a nice hotel." Although, I actually like this aesthetic and would not change anything in regards to how the club looks. Also, the locker rooms are great. They are always kept spotless and the sauna, steam room, free mouthwash, shaving cream, deodorant, and water pressure in the showers is 10/10.

Closing thoughts:
If you want the best that the area has to offer while also feeling like you are getting that "club" experience you are in the right place. If you are a bodybuilder like me, the club has a few small shortcomings in regards to upper body attachments/machines. Also, if you want to play basketball, swim, go in the sauna more often and get amazing training from their group exercises this gym should be on the top of your list. The wide range of yogas, lifting classes, and stretching sessions are great. Currently, a 4/5 is suitable for what the gym is currently capable of, and I enjoy my time in the gym.

I enjoy every visit I have at Life Time WC. The staff are super friendly, and the gym is impeccable in cleanliness as well as quality of equipment. It's a gym, so I went in with no extreme expectations or thinking of services they should provide, and they blew me away.

As a long time member of the Lifetime franchise (over 15 years), I am impressed with this boutique gym. The fact that such a quality health club is right in the midst of a shopping and family focused epicenter is one of many benefits this club has to offer.

I have been a member of Equinox, Bay Club, Fitness SF, YMCA, City Sports, 24 Hour Fitness, and Alameda Fitness and Spa throughout my time in the Bay Area. Lifetime is far and away the best out of the mix. Equinox, atleast in the Bay Area, is lack luster for what you pay for.

1) strategic and high quality weight lifting floor. I cannot even believe people are complaining about the equipment and machines. These are some of the newest and highest quality machines I have ever experienced.

2) Amenities: towel service, sauna, steam room, rooftop pool, rooftop hot tub (small), rooftop bar, fitness classes, downstairs cafe, work stations, private work pods, kids daycare, and more.

3) hours: opens early and closes late

To anyone looking to join: while LT should be held to a high standard, keep in mind this is a brand new club. There will naturally be an adjustment period as the club learns, adjusts, and grows with its members.

I had a similar experience where when I tried to use the squat racks, but there was a full class and it kinda messed up my schedule. I enjoyed the cold plunge. The cafe was unimpressive and the price point doesn't make sense. This place makes sense if you're just into taking classes but doesn't really seem like it's for serious gym folks. Cancelling my membership. I was really hoping to like this place.

I had high expectations for this gym, especially at this price point. I was expecting more of an Equinox-type. It's a large space with lots of classes but the equipment was not as nice as my current gym, which had Woodway treadmills. The treadmills here have unresponsive buttons and the tread doesn't have the same road feel traction. It also randomly went into cool down mid-workout. When I researched the distinction, it appears the Woodways are two to three times more expensive than the ones that Lifetime has. The interior of this place kind of reminds me of a business commuter hotel and again, was expecting nicer finishing and design. The locker rooms were okay and there are one time use locks. The parking is kind of annoying since you battle those who are there to shop (depending on the hours). The rooftop pool keeps only three lanes open for lap swimming and the other half of the pool appears to be for open play. I'm going to be cancelling my membership even though it's only been two weeks. Giving up the legacy founding member perks. In my view, this place is more like a 24 super sport and less like a "country club" luxury gym. Again, if you're going to charge this level of membership, it should have nicer workout equipment and nicer design/finishing inside. Sorry to say, but it's feeling like a big version of a hotel gym.

I had an extremely pleasant tour of Life Time Walnut Creek today with Nicole K. a personal trainer. Nicole's genuine enthusiasm made the tour fun and informative. I didn't feel rushed nor was I overloaded with information. Thank you Nicole! 5 stars
