I see a lot of other reviews saying this place is a scam in regards to canceling your membership - it is. After canceling my membership, they continued to charge me. The manager tried to tell me they would “look at videos” to confirm if I canceled. Working in cybersecurity, there’s no actual way they store footage that long. The next step would of been pretending to watch videos, then continuing to go along with their fraud. They also tried to charge me 4 additional times after reaching out to them in an email, then threatened to put me in collections.

I love Life Style Gym. The price is right and it’s easy to get in, do a workout and get out quickly. The equipment is in good condition and there is never large masses of people. Great hours 3am to midnight.
Update review 6 months later......the gym has become very dirty and appears to be cleaned only once a week. They play extremely loud heavy metal music most of the time. My ear buds can't even block it out. Membership is inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for.

Since 2006, I've been working out at this location, back when it was still Fitness19. Alongside, I maintained a membership at another well-known gym, one equipped with a swimming pool, sauna, and a massage room. Despite these luxuries, I often found myself dreading my workouts. It seemed like every other person was busy recording and posting on social media.
Lifestyle Gym may not have amenities like the sauna and swimming pool, but what I gain in return is invaluable: a judgment-free workout environment. Plus, the availability of machines is always consistent, allowing me to exercise in peace, undisturbed by crowds or distractions. I have no regrets closing my other gym. Also regarding Trainer Sean's I'm not one of his clients. But he's assisted me so numerous times with my form, workout tips. His a great asset to this gym. Always approachable.

I joined Lifestyle gym earlier this year as part of my beginning journey of training as a fitness competitor and it has been amazing!! Staff there are so welcoming and accommodating, they do good in the community, it’s clean, not ever crowded, and they have all of the strength training equipment you could ever need! A great gym and staff. A relaxed vibe, friendly and has everything we need in the way of equipment. Very clean. Coach Deven has been helping me with specific exercises to improve my bone density. Deven is so knowledgeable and encouraging and it a pleasure to work with him. I have made so much more progress than I ever thought I could. Devin has also helped my husband’s golf game by directing him to a routine that increased muscle strength for his golf swing.

Coach Sean over at Lifestyle Gym is one of the main reasons I am able to stay on track and reach my goals. He motivates, encourages and even helps me prepare routines for when I will be out of town for long periods of time. He also challenges me which I appreciate bc I can allow myself to make excuses when I’m not doing what I am supposed to.

I really like the gym set up and the fact that Sean has essentially taught me how to use all of the different pieces of equipment over time.

I was 68;wheni I started with Sean a year ago. I hadn't exercised in decades. In this year, my cholesterol has dopped to below levels requiring medication, my heart rate has improved and i have lost( and kept off) weight. I am so pleased with this small business. The owner and the staff are very responsive to the needs of their members. This Spring 2024, as the weather started warming up over 80 degrees outside, the in-gym temperature and ventilation was getting uncomfortable. I emailed and the owner and manager responded by providing large fans and fixing the air conditioning system.

The staff is wonderful. I learned HIT for the first time and now do it several times a week. The other members are also there to seriously work out, which motivates me to keep it up.

I have been coming to this gym for 10 years even back when it was the previous company Fitness 19 . But new ownership came in, changed the name to lifestyle gym and I got to tell you the changes have been awesome! I still love working out here. It’s quiet, cozy, and in the heart of fair Oaks do yourself a favor and take a look at joining lifestyle gym here in Fair oaks. You won’t me disappointed.

I'm really disappointed we signed up because we loved how small it was for only $12 a month now someone else bought and wants to raise it to $30 a month and charged me $80 for a new membership when we said we wanted to cancel. Of course they never have employees there or a manager to fix problems
Mean while chuze fitness is under $30 a month and offers hundreds of more gym activies and it's much larger with new equipment and many group classes
If you're going to start charging more at least offer what other gyms are and please clean the place the spray bottles laying around are not good.

Update: they will be introducing a key fob system to extend the hours (yay!). Previously, the short weekend hours were the only negative. Access will soon be 21 hours, staffed something like 7-7. However, that means monthly cost is going up to $25/month. It's supposed to remain month-to-month. I haven't received the new contract for review yet. They have also eliminated and converted the child care room to another exercise area. I never saw anyone use it. They brought in some additional attachments for the cable machine. Their also changing partners with whoever handles billing, as other reviewers have complained about (I never had problems, but I haven't tried to cancel). All in all, seems pretty great. I just hope they don't get TOO busy because that's one of the things I love about this gym.

This used to be a Fitness 19. F19s are the best because: they have the best overall set of equipment (instead of being machines-only like that purple gym). This one in particular has a trap bar! They are the best price because they are no frills ($20/month), month to month contract only, everything a gym needs to be and nothing that people hate about gyms. This place is atrocious… I subscribed as most people due to low rate of $10 a month for a hole in the wall gym. After a few months, I stopped going. After a few payments I noticed I didn’t close my account. I went to a close. My account paid $55 not once but two times then $150 on April 2016 then I was charged $30 after that all the time saying just close my account. THIS WAS IN MAY 2016. FAST FORWARD TO MARCH 2023!! I receive a 20 point hit to my credit score and I only noticed because I enrolled in credit dashboard with my bank. Out of curiosity I check to see why and notice an account went to collections. Lo and behold Fitness 19 sent me to collections for $75 that I have no idea what the charges nor do they because it’s so old I can’t dispute it or get them prove it. I had to pay today MARCH 21, 2023.-$126.27. I went through the trouble of looking at all my bank statements from January 2016 to February 2018, May 2016 was the last time they charge me $30 not a single charger attempted charge after that but today they decide to send me to collections And drop my credit score by 20 points I live two blocks down the street. What a POS company with a POS leader ship model scamming underdogs in the last five years you couldn’t once leave me a voicemail asking for payment? Of course not because it’s a bogus charge , I wouldn’t be surprised how many people are scamming into this February when you give them your payment information the only thing I think that stopped me was my card got stolen and my account information changed in March 2017. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO ASSOCIATE, to work there, or with them .

Very small gym. I left because it’s dirty and people aren’t required to clean off equipment after use. Often there isn’t anyone at the front desk so getting help is frustrating. There is one standing tanning bed that is incredibly dirty and always has broken parts. I went over to planet fitness and get way more equipment and amenities for only a couple extra dollars.

Canceling this membership was HORRIBLE. Do not recommend.

Response to management: I never saw an employee clean…anything. Rarely would see more than one employee working at a time. And now you’re pushing bike sales…at a gym. STRANGE FLEX. Planet fitness is so much better!!!

I just love this little gym so much. It is absolutely no frills - but you have everything you need to get a workout in. They keep it VERY clean and tidy - weights reracked, mats sprayed down, mirrors and equipment are constantly being cleaned. All day every day!

My favorite part, however, is the staff. Every single staff member is kind, heartfelt and you can tell they love their jobs. Omar signed me up for my contract and I have never met a nicer human in my life - he treated me with such kindness. The manager is an absolute doll - she does so well at balancing having work to do in her office and making rounds on the floor to interact with members, answer questions and be available should anyone need her.

I am so glad that I found this little club and it very much feels like home!

Because of immune deficiencies I have not left my home since last April, during some restrictions Fitness 19 was not taking money from my account. Once I noticed that they had started back up I called to cancel AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO COME IN...then they agreed to cancel if I sent an email. I sent the email in October. The fees kept coming out. I tried calling. No help. They shouldn't be open anyway, but preying on the sick or disabled is disgusting. I will be contacting the parent company AND any other source that can help get them to do what's right.

Nice gym. I was a guest with one of the members and they let my daughter come into the child's play area. Very cool. Lots of toys and a movie playing. The girl who supervises the kids room was making cool hemp necklaces and she gave one to me. Pretty neat.

It's a clean gym, however that is all it really has going for it. This gym is not for lifters or body builder's and is more tailored to the older crowd being very similar to a planet fitness. They are no showers with one small bathroom. There is a motley pot of rude staff members (most whose employment there is ironic) and it lacks of real weights. Also be warned, there is an annual fee that you hear nothing about until they charge your account for 80 dollars two months after joining.

They will try to convince you that they're giving you a special deal and waive sign up fees but its all a sales pitch. They got my bank card info as well as my routing number and account number and charged my initial first and last months dues then went back in my account 2 weeks later and tried to get it again, then appologized and credited me only to go back in 2 weeks later for the same amout THAT I PAID THE DAY I SIGNED UP!!! Unacceptable and honestly it just shows how unorganized they are. The gym itself is as basic as it gets so you get what you pay for but if you can afford it I'd pay a few more buck a month and go somewhere with better equipment and more options for a complete workout as well as a more professional experience rather than a "mom and pop" gym like fitness 19

I have been a member since 2011, it's a small gym- no frills. Cardio area, weights, strength machines. It has a little stretching area and optional suntan room. It can get pretty packed depending on the time of day you go. The bathrooms, at least the male bathroom, could use more upkeep.

This is where my personal trainer works. He's the best ever and we work out 3 times a week. If you want the best trainer in the world, ask for Jason. Not sure if maybe I'm a germaphob or what but i think if someone used the towel out of their shorts to wipe equipment it's gross. NO one cleans equipment before they are done. I was told by the manager they are trying to make it easier for customers by not making them clean up and that they are to short staffed to do it. He did offer to clean my machines when i come in, but i dont want that kind of attention. I'd be that pain customer to all tg email other staff. Cleaning is 3 days a week. I just saw a guy drip sweat for a half hour and walk away. Gross!

I have been a member of Fitness 19 on Sunrise for about 2 years. The facility is clean, in a good area and there are plenty of equipment and they are well maintained. People of all ages come and are welcome to use limited or all the equipment depending on their personal ability. The employees are personable, courteous and helpful. There are personal trainers who are professional, very helpful, available and courteous. It is very convenient for me since I work 7 days a week and need the availability. I can come in and work out, go home and I'm ready to start the day. Child care is also provided for parents in need.

This place is great. All the staff are very friendly and you start to feel like part of the community right away. I have been a member for 7 years now and love it! I work with Suzanne and i can honestly say that she the best trainer i have worked with by far. The club is always clean and the staff is phenomenal. They are always willing to help out with anything i need. I higly recommend this club!

This place is where you go to get a good workout in and get on with life. Staff is friendly. Club is clean. Good people all around. Best gym in town for sure. They have tanning, kids room, and I always bring in a guest with my plan. So stop reading and go lift.

Fitness 19 is a great gym! They have all of the equipment you will need to get an awesome workout. The gym is always clean which is a plus! The best part about this place is the staff! Awesome gym I have been coming here for soon to be 2 years. The gym is always extra clean thanks to Mac, he's always there to help as a spot and it's always nice to get welcomed by your name as you walk in. Jason is the best trainer and helped me a lot when I first started coming. Ryan is a cool guy too and will also help you with a spot. I just had my girlfriend join recently and she loves it too. This gym makes you feel comfortable and is a great place to workout!
