I’m extremely disappointed with this gym. They refuse to cancel gym membership unless you come in in person. Also charging an additional 25 dollars if the charge was denied for any reason I now have 200 dollars in gym fees. I cannot stop or cancel the charges unless I take a flight there.

I've been going here for over 2 years and X Factor is, hands down, the best gym in Visalia. The owner's are nice, friendly, helpful, and they really care about their members and successes! They'll greet you, encourage you, ask how you're doing, if any previous injuries are better...it's really a great place and community they've built.

The equipment is top notch. They're always upgrading and improving it, there's something for everyone. It's also always very clean and members here actually know how to re-rack their weight, a miracle I know!!

Great gym gearing up for serious lifters and average person trying to stay healthy. Even the employees from inshape workout here instead of the gym they work at
Updated and dropped to 3 from 5 stars. Too many chiefs and they are clashing. BOB will yell at members from across the gym if he thinks something is not correctly done or if another owner gives permission to get or do something. I even got him yelling and cussing on my promotion video. Gym equipment upgrades are really nice for those who are into lifting.
Sep 20th 2021... Now they can't put a stop to people being bullies to members. Some members are confertational towards others scream curse words,and throw weights around.

Horrible communication, I am in the military and I have been over seas for already 5 months and I have been trying to call for the last 4 months to cancel my membership, I have left voice messages , emails , have tried contacting the manager there and not once have I gotten a response back or a call back and now they send me to collections.

I only ended up going to this gym twice back in 2020. but i stopped immediately because they did not require people to wear masks indoors even though it was mandated and I felt it was unsafe. in their defense they did have people wipe down their equipment, but we all know COVID travels in air better than on something.

I don't really know how they can have someone sign up for a membership and then expect them to be okay with them breaking health codes.

I've been a member of this gym for several years and I used to love it! Unfortunately I will be canceling my membership. I appreciate that they have stayed open but they have had hundreds of new people sign up and it's way too crowded especially since it's already a small gym to begin with! I go during the day or on the weekends to try to avoid the crowd and it's still really packed to the point where it's really uncomfortable. I never see any of the regular members anymore. Sadly I think the new owners don't care about customers especially customers that have been members for years. Plus some of the new equipment they have purchased is stupid. They could have made better choices. They should have made appointments for people during this time to avoid this issue.

I was a little hesitant at first due to seeing the amount of people working out when I went to check it out! I went home instead but immediately regretting not going in so I went back at a later time. To my surprise the gym was much more quieter and I realized it must have been shown up during the busiest time. I signed up and I love it! I’m a morning person so I’m usually there as soon as it opens which for me is the most convenient time because it gives me anywhere from half an hour and sometimes 45 minutes with maybe one or two other people in the room. Just like I like it!

I am extremely disappointed in this gym and lack of friendly customer service. My first impression was good. But after the first week my impression began to change. First of all, for one month I had to pay almost $100. This includes a towel fee. The towel is a small hand towel. I would ask for 2 or 3 hand towels to use one while working out and a shower afterwards but I noticed an attitude, but I'm paying a towel fee.🤷 And they're only small hand towels so you'll at least need 2 after a shower, right? And then, I began to notice being observed while in the ladies lounge area. If I stayed more than 15 minutes in this area either the owner or a staff member would come in, look around and then walk out. I began to feel rather uncomfortable. I do not know what their expectations are of proper gym use but if you're paying for the use of a gym plus towel fee, that includes working out on the equipment, shower and towel use.When I trained at InShape or other gyms, most of us would shower first, change to gym wear, drink a sports drink and then go train. Afterwards, we'd lounge by the pool or jacuzzi. We didn't feel watched at InShape. We were just taking our time psyching ourselves up for a vicious workout. I am disabled and during cardio I have to sit after running the treadmill, sometimes up to 30 minutes. Despite cardio being a hardship for me I kept persevering. But because I was sitting down I noticed looks from the young staffers and new mgt. So because of feeling very, very uncomfortable I gave my 30 day notice. Then one young, female staff member, who had been nice at first, stops me in the middle of a workout and tells me my account is past due and I have to pay or leave right then and there!! I noticed her speaking to new mgt. and they would look over at me. I had taken care of my account with Denise, the current owner who has now sold the gym, and she told me I was paid up to July 22. But since Denise was not there I was forced to leave. So for 35 days I forked out $100 to be treated with disrespect and made to feel very uncomfortable. The customer service is only friendly in the beginning. They do not care about their members but only money. The gym is small and very quiet and the music is turned down low. If you drop your weights, the owner or staff immediately confronts you. If you're a bodybuilder this is definitely not the gym you want. AND, if you are handicapped like I am, don't come here. Fit Republic has a serious atmosphere and plenty of excellent physiques to show their dedication and it's $19 a month, no administration fees or contracts. The gym is huge and the locker rooms are not small like at Xfactor. Xfactor has one shower. It has no dressing room. You have to change in the bathroom. I feel ripped off with Xfactor. I will never go back there again.

Was here once for a tour of the place a huge while ago. The contract was outrageous. It's too small but some like it that way. After moving out of Visalia then moving back, I am back in the market for a gym. Upon reading the reviews and the responses from the owner I don't think I'll be reconsidering going there. Show you care. Don't be little someone. We all know there's two sides of every story. Putting someone's business out there about closing their checking account is not cool. Be the bigger person and move on. You're not always going to be liked. Accept that and move on. I could have had a lawsuit against you went you guys sent a mass text message and exposed my phone to people I don't know. Did I get mad? Yes. Are you human and just made a mistake that I can easily forgive? Of course. Be more customers friendly. Show appreciation. Maybe it's time to make over your imagine. Best of luck to you.

When we joined this gym we really enjoyed how small and convenient the location is. It was never too packed even during rush hour. However, the owner decided to rent out nearly 25% of their space to an exclusive fitness club. So existing members are now forced to share an already cramped area with several other new members of that fitness club. We’re not allowed on that side of the gym starting this May. Meaning we are paying the same price for a smaller space. The gym is now extremely crowded with little room to actually workout. When I brought this up with owner, she didn’t seem too concerned. The owner made it clear that this move was for her financial benefit. Unfortunately at the expense of her customers. Me and my boyfriend are currently looking for a new gym.

Upon cancelling i found out the hard way that they are ruthless with late fees. Read the fine print of the contract before signing. If you mess up, you will pay. I missed the cancellation payment due to switching banks and unfortunately paid it two weeks after notification. My rate tripled. I do not recommend working with X Factor.

Everything you need

I was blown away by this locally owned gym in Visalia, CA. It's a very well kept and clean facility that has a passion for people's success. Not only was the building well kept, but the landscape and the decor was very modern and attractive.

The equipment was well maintained, clean but my favorite part is that they literally have all that I need to get and stay fit. From supplements to Group X classes (Spin, Yoga and more). The music was appropriate for all ages and the locker rooms are very clean.

I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to get on shape or maintain their fit life.

Had issues with my bank, they charged me a $30 for this mistake without even calling to warn me. Had a pet cat there which can't be good for people's allergies. Can't wait til I'm able to get out of this contract. I called their establishment 3 times before I was able to be helped. And the first time was 3 days prior to my due date. My bank issues were not my fault and I explained this to the owner. And also look out for unexpected "equipment fees ".

Updated 2/6/18: called to ask about extra fees and was scolded about having my checks bounce by the owner Jeff. Not their fault, that's what happens when irrational people choose to ignore concerns of their customers. My bank account was hacked into so my cards had to be cancelled. Only one month I have ever had issues and I'm degraded and talked down on.

Been going here roughly a month. I like the small local feel. They have exactly what you need to get your work out. I traditionally come in the mornings between 630-745 and never have had to wait for a machine or weights. Great price, you pay without having to cough up extra bucks for the bells and whistles that you will probably never use.

One neg critique: I wish they had two showers stalls. I've only had to wait 3-5 minutes for the shower at the most, but when you need to get out the door to work, the convenience of another stall would be nice.

This gym is overpriced and the owner is standoffish and arrogant. I made an appointment with a lady to see the gym and asked if they offered a month to month membership. I was initially told by this lady that they did offer it. When I got there the owner helped me, he told me they don't do monthly memberships because he can't make any money on it. He wanted to charge me $57 per month unless I signed a 3 year contract. No thanks! If I'm going to pay that amount I would rather go to In-Shape which charges the same amount and has much more to offer. This was a huge waste of time.
