Joining Lift Society was probably the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I’m not exaggerating. I’ve always been advised to lift weights, but doing it on my own at a gym was always a bit intimidating. I did my research and found that Lift Society offered exactly what I needed. Guidance on how to use the squat rack, new training cycles every month, detailed demonstrations on proper form and most importantly, amazing instructors that make it all happen. My favorite instructor is Torey. I take his classes at both studio city and Hollywood location. I’m about 5 months in, and have never felt stronger and more confident in my life. There’s something about lifting heavy ass weights bright and early in the morning that just gets you going for the day.

Lift Society is the best! In a few months I will have been going to this gym for 4 years - kinda crazy to think about.

As someone who isn't particularly motived to make up by own gym workout, this is perfect for me. I get my own station and the programming has already been created. All I have to do is show up and be consistent.

I switch between this location and the Hollywood one. All the trainers are so knowledgeable and ready to work with you. Studio city is a bit more spacious but you'll get the same workout at any of the locations on any given day since the programming is synced up across the studios.

I have gotten so much stronger in the last (almost) 4 years! It's so cool to be able to compare my lifts from when I first started. I couldn't even bench press the bar or make it through all the sets. You see real tangible progress which gets addicting! I think it's super beginner friendly especially if you communicate that to the trainer. We've literally all been there and everyone is really nice. I had never lifted weights until this class and having a trainer there explaining each lift every time is so beneficial, even as someone who has been going for years. You get little nuggets of information and things start clicking. If you're reading this, give it a try!

Loveeee lift society!! It's basically like group personal training, just show up and you're guaranteed to have a great workout. Each person gets their own barbell/workout station, you can lift heavy or modify to your preference. I love the music, fun atmosphere, and coaches who push you to be your best self. Special shout out to trainers Brittany, Kaden, and Celia!!! There are so many times and locations, it so convenient to get a great workout in!

Big fan of lift society!! Great atmosphere, great teachers, great community. The classes are small, which I like. The classes are also very challenging, but the results are obvious. There is nothing else like it that I've found in Los Angeles. I've learned so much about strength training since coming here. And I like how I look with my shirt off!! Having sore muscles is a great feeling.

After 10 years of being exclusively focused on cardio, I decided to try Lift Society 9 months ago - and it's been life-changing. I've not only transformed my body (and started getting the results I actually want), but completely shifted my perspective on strength training.

The coaches are exceptional at working with beginners while still challenging more experienced lifters - and create a welcoming environment that made me feel comfortable from day one, even though I'd never touched a barbell before. I've seen significant improvements in my strength and overall fitness, and I actually get excited about workouts now. The community is also incredibly supportive!

If you're considering strength training or looking for a new gym, I can't recommend Lift Society enough. It's converted me from a cardio-only person to someone who genuinely loves lifting weights. I'll never go back to my old routine!

I have been coming to Lift Society for about 3 years now. The programming has changed over the years, but the class format remains the same with a focus on upper and lower body moves. For those who might be intimidated by the decals on the windows, don't be. The instructors are great at checking form, and start beginning weight lifters off with dumbbells before hitting the bar bell. The classes are set so that you train three days a week, with the optional abs and ass Sunday classes and Partner Flex. I would recommend for beginnings to not do a Sunday class first, if you want to get a better idea of the general class format. Also, girls don't be scared, you will not bulk up. Try it out!

Ever since I’ve switched to training at Lift Society, I’ve seen myself get stronger and feel healthier! The workout is challenging and all of the instructors prioritize good form to ensure everyone is as safe and strong as possible. I’d highly recommend Lift Society to anyone who is looking to lift heavy weights in a safe and supportive environment!

Absolutely LOVE coming to LIFT Society! So far, I have gone to both the Studio City and Hollywood locations and am very grateful to have found this community. I mainly take class from Jason who does a great job of explaining each exercise and providing everyone in the class with individual adjustments/corrections. Highly recommend!!!

I think this is a beautiful studio of friendly trainers and members but I would not recommend it to people with no lifting experience. While the trainer does watch you and help correct your form, they can't watch everyone at the same time and if you don't know your body and your limits you could easily injure yourself. Even with 7 years lifting experience I find some exercises needlessly risky, fortunately they are more than happy to accommodate with modifications which is why I still rate them so high. Providing clean towels is a nice perk and stations are always sanitized and well-organized.

Love love love Lift Society. In the 2 years I’ve been there I’ve had more progress than the last 10 combined. Getting your own weight rack and personal training in a group setting (and hence less expensive than a personal trainer) is ideal. This is the place to go if you want to get in shape fast.

I've been going here for almost a year and I love it! I was lifting before but lacked confidence to push myself. The trainers are not only helpful with form and technique but encouraging. I made so much progress and feel confident. Don't be afraid if you are a beginner. I see people of all stages come and it is fun. I love working out now.

Lift Society is a private members only gym that has a few locations around Los Angeles. I've been a member for a few years and love the concept, the classes, and the results. All focused on weight lifting with some abs work thrown in at the end. Each class is lead by an instructor who does a warm up, and then demonstrates the exercises and guides your form throughout the class. Classes are small, limited to around 10 people, so it feels like you are getting personal training. And the group setting makes it fun. Each class focuses on lower body and upper body. And they have morning and evening classes 7 days a week. You pay a monthly fee and can go to as many classes as you want and can attend any locations you want. They have an app that makes scheduling classes pretty easy. You can cancel no problem, but they charge $15 if you cancel within 5 hrs of the class. There are about 6 exercises for each class and each class is tailored, so they mix it up quite well do you aren't ever bored and are constantly doing different exercises to work out various muscle groups. They have member socials and games which makes it fun. A really awesome concept I've not seen anywhere else before, which is why I like Lift Society.

I have always loved going to class format classes because it’s so convenient to not have to think about programming (I know, lazy but whatever) abd lift society does exactly that and then some! They have very well thought out programs that help you grow and hit your strength goals. I love lifting heavy but that’s always been an issue at other class gyms because you have to share weights… that’s not the case at Lift Society! You get your own rack, set of weights, while building a community of like minded individuals! I’m also very impressed by the caliber of the coaches, they definitely know their stuff! Overall I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who is looking to gain strength while trying to lean down! I’m so happy I found this gym!!!

I went to a class with Celia as the coach, she is very professional, energetic and passionated ! She takes the time to give advices to everyone and knows perfectly how to motivate everyone!
The class are complete, working both strength and cardio, they are very well structured to target both upper and lower body.

I don’t add reviews to almost any biz, even if I have a great experience. But this place is different, man. I was an elite athlete for a long time but I’ve never been in this kind of strong, fit, healthy shape … ever. All you really have to do is show up. They’ll give you the energy, the smart programming and the motivation to meet you wherever you are and take you to the next level. And the next next level, which is where I am now! This is not CrossFit and just trying to throw weights around and see who can get injured the fastest; I’ve actually gotten more flexible and gotten over some chronic and nagging injuries here.

Could not recommend more!

I love this gym. COVID has impacted all types of business -- gyms in particular, but I am so impressed with how this gym has managed through to provide a SAFE, RESPONSIBLE, and EFFECTIVE workout experience to its members. It provides everything you need, and nothing you don't so to limit time in the gym while maximizing results. Very impressed with how this gym is managed and happy to be a member.

I signed up because my fiance did a program at this gym and she recommended to try it for a month. At first, I was sore from head to toe after the first week. I was even told by my trainer to rest because I was so sore. I learned to enjoy the experience of lifting. I have noticed on my vacation that I was craving to work out and I was not as sore when walking on tours compared to years prior. I signed up for a year to continue my progress in moreso being in shape and healthier. Thank you to my trainers Lindsay, Matt, Amy and David!
