I didn’t have a good experience with this gym. Their communication and policies were not clear when I became a member. Even after checking with two staff members before starting my online sessions with my personal trainer, I was suddenly told to stop my training and leave the gym. It was really frustrating.

Bad service. They treat hotel guests poorly. Won't even let a 15 year old use the gym accompanied by an adult. Insane.

Decent enough but overpriced for what it is, and 95% of the people in there (both members and staff) have the personality of a wet noodle.

Nice sauna but including “steam” in your description is pretty misleading given that it seems to be indefinitely out of order.

Obsessed with my neighborhood gym! It has everything I need. Huge shout out to the best trainer ever—Coach Noire. He’s such a kind soul! I was new to personal training, and he made my first session so approachable and fun! I love his vibrant energy and positivity, and his vast knowledge in everything fitness. The best vibes!

Live Fit Gym - Fairmont deserves more than 5 stars! The facilities are always clean and the staff is also always super helpful. Special kudos to Yulia, my personal trainer! Training with her has been a transformative experience for me, to say the least. Yulia has both the technical and pedagogical knowledge to deliver a comprehensive, personalized and effective program, and thus help you attain your goals with actionable steps and clear milestones. Every session is a session of insights and progress towards my fitness goals. Every session is a session to look forward to. I can't recommend Live Fit and Yulia enough!

I booked a Swedish massage for my daughter and I and was pleasantly surprised with my experience. Monica understands the female body and pushes beyond traditional Swedish massage knowing that the hips are the center and holder of a females stress and tension. There are so many massage therapists that avoid the hip and glutes at all cost and it is a shame. She also combines soft flow and intense pressure to make sure that every inch of your body feels the love. Huge kudos to Monica and know that the gym is lucky to have her as part of their team.

Title: Extremely Disappointed with Live Fit Gym
Rating: ⭐
I have been a member of Live Fit Gym for a little over 4 months now, and I must say that my experience has been extremely disappointing. When I initially joined, I was skeptical about the value of this gym being the premier choice in their monthly package deal. However, due to its convenient location and the presence of a sauna, I decided to give it a try and signed up. Unfortunately, my expectations were far from met.
One of the major downsides of Live Fit Gym is its small facility. Considering the premium pricing and its association with the "Fairmont" Hotel, I expected more space and amenities. Surprisingly, I discovered that this location is at the higher tier for access to a sauna and steam room, which are supposedly exclusive to this location and not available at other Live Fit gyms.
However, the disappointment did not stop there. Throughout my membership, the steam room rarely worked and was out of order most days, including the past week. This lack of maintenance is unacceptable, especially considering the premium membership price. But what adds insult to injury is the state of the men's bathroom during the day. It is absolutely disgusting, with urine all over the toilet seats. It is disheartening to witness the general manager, who should be accountable for cleanliness, neglecting these issues. I have seen him inspect the facilities and bathroom multiple times, yet he does nothing to address the filth. Even worse, he used the sink filled with someone's shavings and left it for the next guest. How can someone be an effective manager if they don't lead by example?
I want to make it clear that I don't intend to get anyone in trouble with this review. My purpose is to express my disappointment and concern about the way my higher-priced membership is being utilized. It is disheartening to see the lack of attention from the leadership team towards these issues. I strongly urge the upper management to conduct an unannounced visit to the facility to witness firsthand how poorly maintained it is.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that Live Fit Gym does not offer any classes at any of their locations, except for one. This lack of variety and options further adds to my regret for choosing a six-month membership with Live Fit. I sincerely wish I could reverse this decision.
In conclusion, my experience with Live Fit Gym has been nothing short of a letdown. The lack of functioning amenities, poor maintenance, and unsanitary conditions make it impossible for me to recommend this gym. I hope that the higher management takes immediate action to address these issues and improve the overall experience for its members.

The manager is not unethical. He is dishonest. I paid an initiation fee and one month's membership on behalf of an acquaintance. I made it clear that any membership beyond that was on the other person.
When I noticed a membership charge 6 months later and called to inquire, he remembered the arrangement and told me the acquaintance had never taken over the membership. Rather than cancel her membership, he chose just to keep charging me.
My bad for assuming a merchant would honor a verbal agreement. His dishonesty for taking my credit card and just charging it until he was caught.

Great facilities. Clean. Filtered water. Lots and lots of options for working out. Cardio area, see video. Weights at varying levels, with multiple stations for 2-4 people doing the same workout. Plenty of space for stretching and warming up.
Only con is the price. I’m not accustomed to paying a daily rate just to access the gym, much less $25. There was some weird miscommunication with the hotel and the gym (a separate business), but it got sorted out. Just another con of having an independent business housed within another.

Location
Located inside the Fairmont Hotel, in the lowered levels. Not too difficult to find, but need to access through the hotel as there is no seperate entrance.
Equipment
Enough for a travel workout as an intermediate lifter. Probably not enough stuff for the advance people, and the drop in fee is $25 for non hotel guests. Cardio room has done weight machines and the downstairs has the free weights as well as a smith machine.
Cleanliness
Extremely clean in all areas, including locker rooms/ washroom and on the gym floor. Cardio room was also very clean.
Overall
Will definitely use again if in town for less than a week trip. Anything over a week with regular lifting schedule you'll need a bigger gym

New member and signed up for a package that included massage. This service does not roll over so if anything happens where you can not make it they will not honor that part of the membership.. Which seems so inappropriate especially during Covid when people get sick and stuff happens. Horrible horrible rip off place. 2 months and done.

Locker rooms were dirty and many lockers not functioning.
After cancelling, and confirming in person twice, I continued to be charged. After calling three different offices to fix the issue, I eventually did a chargeback.
What a nightmare.

I joined the gym during pandemic and I am very happy with it. It's clean and newly renovated with spa. The location is beautiful. Big thanks to the staff working there. They have done a great job of following the covid health protocol and making us feel safe and comfortable. Alex, who helps me sign up on membership is awesome. He is helpful, friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend this place for a good workout and spa treatment.

I usually don’t leave bad comments, but this gym is TERRIBLY AWEFUL!!!
They don’t give back deposit, they try to fool you to sign the contract. Their contract terms makes no sense. Be careful to read every word, they won’t highlight these inequity clauses. And the membership fee is much higher than other gyms. Very limited facilities. And I also lost my personal belongings (value more than 100 dollars). They promised me to help me find it but they never responded to me afterwards.
Don’t go to this stupid place, you’ll regret.

In my opinion, this is by far the best gym in San Francisco. However you will pay for it $$. With the addition of the sauna and the steam room as a part of this gym/hotel hybrid location, It doesn't get better than this. Oh, did I mention that the Tonga room is literally right outside the front doors of the gym 😂. Love it. 🤌
A huge disclaimer about this review is that I live to blocks away from this location so I can walk to the gym. If you need to find parking... good luck 🌚.

Part of Livefit Wellness gym locations in the Fairmont hotel on the hilly side of Nob Hill neighborhood. Great staffs and full spa service offerings. I go here a couple times a week to do strength training and treat myself to steam room and sauna after.

Nice gym but having yoga mats available would be beneficial.
Also more elliptical machines and treadmills would be a beneficial addition to this gym.

This is an awesome gym with awesome staff members (Paul, Alex, Dr. Labit, etc.). There are no shortage of things you can do at this gym and its always great to literally get a breath of fresh air with the outdoor workouts. I moved so I wasn't able to attend any of the classes, but I'd assume that they are great too.
Highly recommend (esp. if you live in the Nob Hill/Russian Hill area).

A little confused because I couldn't tell if this was part of the Fairmont (only) or if it was a separate gym that the Fairmont also pays for its guests to use? Either way, I was impressed for a "hotel gym". I've never seen any fitness center attached to a hotel have TRX equipment.
I was impressed with the amount of equipment they have, there was a cardio room, a weight room and then another room with a mirror/kettlebells upstairs. As far as workouts go when I'm traveling, this place had more than enough equipment to satisfy my needs. I'm not sure I'd pay separately for this gym (if that was an option), but I was happy to have access to it as part of my stay at the hotel.

Visiting SF with my wife. Brian Reed at the front desk was very helpful and friendly setting us up with weekly passes and guiding us thru the clubs amenities. The club itself is well-setup and has all the equipment we need to maintain our fitness throughout our visit. As we are in the area often, we will be back.
