Terrible. Old website with class information from 3 years ago. I called the number on the website and it takes you to their private class scheduling line. They put me on hold for 5 minutes before a person picked up again. When I asked about how to contact the gym they said "I have no idea."

This place is horrible. I signed my daughter up. I paid over three hundred dollars. The following week, it was closed down. I didn't even get a notice. Just a sign on the door. I keep getting the run around about my refund. I spoke with Tanya and Elena. They kept saying, "we will send you another request form."

Just like other reviews on here… this company WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY.
They have ignored ALL my emails regarding a refund. I have emails that I sent to Tanya, Elena and the main email as well, and none of them have replied. I have been requesting a refund for OVER A YEAR from when I paid back in 2020. The first day of both my daughters’ class, the fire marshall came to shut them down because they were not suppose to be open indoors due to the pandemic, we had to go back home because the fire marshalls turned us away. So my children never got a chance to do class for that session. They were fully aware that they should not have been open but we’re accepting our money anyway and now they will not give a refund and it’s going on 2 years. I filled out the refund request paper in 2020 and they claim they never received it ! I called the number but it routes me to representatives who are working from home/warehouse and all they been doing is forwarding messages and STILL NO email replies or returned call. I drove to the location during opening hours just to find out the location is closed! Here I am almost 2 years later still requesting my refund. At this point my money is STOLEN. I noticed they are not responding to reviews that are reporting issues that should be urgently addressed. This is intentional, they skip right over them so this should tell you how the people that work at this company feel about you! Read other reviews and you will see similar complaints. This company stole my money and yes I still want my refund it’s long overdue!!

Please beware of this business. This business has been nothing but deceiving and lacks honesty and transparency. We signed our child up for their pre- school class. She attended a session and we received communication on 2/10/2021 that it was time to register for the next session which was 2/22/2021 until 4/18/2021. We paid for this session on 2/13/2021. At no time were we told that the business was closing in order to open two new locations in the future. This should have been communicated because this would have allowed us to decline signing up for the current session. On 2/23/2021 we receive another text message stating the facility was temporarily closing to open two new locations. I attempted to call no response, live chat also offline. The next day 2/24/2021 I called and spoke to the owner who assured me that it was only for 2 weeks and that the last class was on 2/27/2021. My spouse was also told this on 2/27/2021. I noticed that we still hadn't gotten any updated communication on class and it looks like everything moved to a new online website. I attempted to call the Business number multiple times. Even during business hours we received a answering service that someone would call us right back. I had two calls over a week and a half. They went on answered. Even after complaining to the answering service and no one actually called back still no one called back. So myself drove to class as promised to find an empty building locked. All of their websites and business notifications through Google and yelp states that they're open. It appears that a business who cares about their customers would update business information to reflect their closure. Who will give my money back?I sent them notice for refund but nobody answered me.

I was really excited to join. I took my daughter to get an evaluation so she could be assigned and placed on the right level. When we went inside the gym, I was told to sit on the bench. Meanwhile one of the coaches stood in front of me and stared at me in a very confrontational way, as if saying, what are you doing here? So she got her binder and she threw it next to my right side and then she stood there a while and she got her pen and she threw it on my other side. She looked angry. She almost hit me with The binder as well as with the pen. It was as if she, with her attitude, was telling me that she wanted me out of there. And she was rough and very rude how she threw the book/binder next to me it almost hit me on the face. I was very disappointed because I had the money to start The classes and to enroll my daughter. The only thing I can say, is that, this is LA, and there are tons of other gymnastics schools out there which I can take my money to and they can give me and as well as my daughter, good services and of course, excellent customer service. This place needs and lacks good customer service.

Ripoff Alert. We signed up in November. Attended one class that was chaotic and not safe. We decided it wasn't a good fit for us and asked for a refund, which we were told we would receive in a few weeks. Then of course the lockdown happened, so classes wouldn't have happened anyways. Have followed up multiple times and left many messages with no reply. I understand these are tough times, but that is no excuse for not running your business ethically. Here we are in March, no reply and no refund. Very disappointed.

Update MAY 2021:

Despite their seemingly well intentioned reply, we still have not received a refund. In fact, it was another scam. We were told we would receive a refund if we REMOVED the negative review. We agreed to consider if a prompt refund was made. Many more months and excuses later, still no refund and again, no reply to calls and emails sent. I’ve never encountered such bad business practices. You’ve been warned. Stay away!

As a former gymnast from out of state, I have not stepped into a gym in over a decade. Since my gym Equinox is closed in LA, I found LA gymnastics adult classes online. It felt great being back in a gymnastics facility with all of the bells and whistles. I mean the coaches are top notch, my instructor Coach Yefin (sorry for the spelling) was a freaking Olympic silver medalist! I even got my back flip down in 1 hour after a decade of zero gymnastics. I am so happy I found this spot and will definitely be back!

No communication among client to staff or staff to staff, poor quality in caring for your children’s emotions or well being, when you pay, you don’t even receive your receipt in your email as they say they send, they don’t!
The front office secretary can not answer the phone properly nor multi task, the staff are unpleasant with your needs, and if they make a mistake, it’s an OH WELL, your bad!
Just horrible horrible first and last day for us!
My kids were so excited to start and they took that happiness away from us and experiences!
I wouldn’t even give a one star but I had to give something to warn others.

My 5 year old daughter has been training with LA Gymnastics for about 2 months. I am so pleased with the extensive safety measures, regular cleaning, temperature checks, and all safety protocols that make me comfortable in sending my child to classes. She is training with her favorite coach, Miss Janell, who works with her in detail focusing on body elements and flexibility. My daughter has increased in physical strength, discipline and listening. I highly recommend this school, my daughter absolutely loves the class. Additionally, classes are being held in a state of the art outdoor training space and it is very impressive, we are enjoying our time at LASG. 5 stars!

After months of lessons, I approached my daughters teacher after class in the locker room to ask her for tips, or suggestions for practice. The coach asked me LOUDLY if my daughter has ADD, she told me she felt something Is "off" with my child because she cannot focus in her class. She continued to say she knows parents dont like to hear it, and kept insisting my daughter needs to get checked. . The coach said this to me in front of my 8 year old and other kids and parents. I was embarresed, very upset and shocked!!!!!! very unprofessional and very insensitive approach!

Our daughter has been going to this school for more than a month. For the last 2 weeks we have started regretting with our decision to give her to this place. Below is a list our biggest complaints:

1. Crazy number of class reschedules. In the past month her classes were rescheduled 3-4 times and we were told that they might change it again in following week. To make things even worse the school notifies us one day before her class day about changes. Due to that we as working parents have to go through difficulties of adjusting our work schedule to it in a such short period of time.

2. They are constantly changing teachers without any notice or explaination which makes our daughter anxious to see new teacher/methods all the time. Moreover, it is becoming normal to see different teacher than what is specified in their formal
schedule list every class.

3. The last but not least, they have started giving classes outside in small space regardless how cold or hot outside is. Our daughter had teacher named Irma who expressed concerns about it and the school took her off from all classes. Not sure if she works there anymore but her name is not on the schedule list.

Reasons we keep going to this place because of the tuition is non refundable and my daughter has a few classes left to take. After that we are done with this place.

This is for manager. We wanted to talk with you several times personally to express above concerns but we were not able to find you in the office several times. At the end, we had no choice but ask your new receptions to deliver our concerns to you.

Attended a birthday party here and the kids had so much fun that we we enrolled. Really great facility, our kids are learning a lot. I'm not a gymnast but teachers seem very knowledgeable. I am writing this review to express the outstanding experience we have had at LA School of Gymnastics. Both of our daughters have attended LA Gymnastics, with our youngest daughter training there for the past 3 years.

During the past 3 years the customer service team has grown tremendously and has a complete crisis and customer service team to help, its been so easy to schedule appointments and address concerns now, we absolutely love all of the improvements, not that any were needed. We are very happy with the new management, super clean facilities, and the highest quality of coaching staff I have ever seen.

Of note, we are especially happy with the coaching staff at LA School of Gymnastics, including Coach Niaz, Coach Irma, Coach Vlada, and Coach Diana. All of these coaches work with our daughter and provide the type of competitive, developmental and caring environment we are seeking. These coaches dedicate their time and expertise to all aspiring gymnasts at LA Gymnastics including the mini tots programs, it is so impressive. Along with the coaches I named, there are many other coaches at LA Gymnastics that do not work directly with our daughter, but deliver the same type of commitment to the athletes.

Of note, I want to mention the outstanding work of Coach Ita, who has been coaching our daughter for the past 4 years, since she was 3 years old. Coach Ita is tough, compassionate, and extremely qualified to lead our daughter's development. She shares in the successes and learning opportunities of her gymnasts, and we are proud to have her coach our daughter and even more proud to be singing praises of our experience at LA School of Gymnastics we recommend the school to anyone!

My cousin takes gymnastics at this establishment and we chose it because ads on Facebook noted it as highly recommended, however, we will now take our business elsewhere. The director, Alla, was very rude and racist not only to my aunt, who has her daughter enrolled there, but to her employee as well. My aunt speaks Spanish and tries to understand English but in order to not get lost in translation she speaks Spanish. The employee was very kind in communicating with her in Spanish to arrange a better schedule. Just as they were settling an arrangement, the director stepped in and rudely told her employee to not speak in Spanish because "We're in America." In this country, everyone is entitled to communicate in the manner they see fit. Without restriction. This is not only unwelcoming, but discriminatory and racist. This school's own students have parents who speak so many different languages. When I sit in the waiting gallery, I can hear at LEAST 3 different languages other than English. If you don't want your employees to communicate with your students' parents, don't take their money. That is hypocrisy at its finest.

I signed my daughter up for a week of summer camp which was to start on a Monday. I paid in full $350 for the week on the Friday before. On Saturday I got a call that the camp was canceled because there wasn’t enough students. My children love to attend their classes at LA school of Gymnastics. Initially they thought “gymnastics for girls” and were hesitant about what to expect there. Once enrolled they found out it was not only a story sport for boys they will be competing next year. Thanks to the trainers, they were kind and friendly and made them feel at home. Now they look forward to their gymnastic class each week and the credit must go to the caring staff and amazing coaches! The coaches love the kids and go beyond to ensure my kids are respected but firm. It is very important that children are trained by helpful coaches or they may lose focus and start jumping to 50 different activities with their friends. When I first went to the LA School of Gymnastics, my first impression was I was super impressed by the center. Then my daughter continued her training under the instructors for some time. After a couple of months, I could feel how heavy she was to attend the sessions. She never wanted to miss a single lesson and that is when I thought of speaking to her instructors. When I visited the school, I was amazed with the warm atmosphere, safe practice areas and offer most awesome set-up for the kids to learn. My three kids, ages 6, 7 and 12 years old have been going to Los Angeles School of Gymnastics for 2 years and we are completely satisfied with the services and training they are receiving.

Initially, we signed up for this gym on a trial period after school and after seeing their excellent care towards kids, clean atmosphere, reliable and kids-friendly coaches; I signed up my kids for permanent classes year-round. It’s so much fun! My daughter was 2 years old when I get her into the Los Angeles School of Gymnastic and my daughter just loves it. The schedule of this gym is completely feasible for kids and this is one reason why I get my daughter into this. The trainers and staffs are extremely responsive, friendly, and gentle with kids which I love the most about this gym.

The instructor are always making the process of learning fun, enjoyable and exciting for kids, which is the best part of LA Gymnastics. The atmosphere is hospitable, staff is super-friendly, price ranges are affordable and reasonable, and overall a great center for kids in Los Angeles. LA Gymnastics and team are really doing an amazing and phenomenal job and I personally love the way they handle children.

My kid is so much in love with her gymnastics classes after attending Los Angeles School of Gymnastics! The teachers are quite friendly and caring here and keep an absolute check on the cleanliness of the equipments and floors. The staff are very cordial and I found them to be quite caring for the kids. My kid loves the way she is being guided and always keeps waiting for her next sessions after the completion of the classes.

The one thing that I like about Los Angeles School of Gymnastics is their safe and enjoyable environment, which offers a free space for the kids to learn. I have noticed that my kid has become better and more interested in her gymnastics classes and even talk about her teachers. The caretakers are really nice and take good care of the kids with disciplines and proper training. Their emotional connection with the kids makes them the best instructors for any age of kids.

This is one of the finest in terms of customer relations and they treat parents really well. With their cordial staff and well-trained instructors learning gymnastics becomes more fun for the kids and my kid enjoys it a lot. This is a must try institution if you are nearby.

As the parents concerned about the wellbeing and overall development of personality of our little daughter we found her put into the right path under the very able guidance of the teachers in Los Angeles School of Gymnastics. We also felt relieved about the safety and security of our kid finding that the teaching and support staff taking all care of the kids before and after the training sessions as well.

Our kid is so impressed that she never gets tired speaking about her experiences in the gymnastic school and at the same time has been able to pick up many new friends and some of them have become our family friends as well. This is a fantastic gym which strives to empower and strengthen the surrounding youth and community through it's spectacular coaching and dedication to perfection! Gymnastics is a beautiful sport which requires discipline, self-confidence, and hours of practice. There is no better institution when it comes to providing your child a safe place to grow and develop self-esteem. While here, I was surrounded with some of the brightest happiest young minds in Los Angeles. Can my little sister could go to the program she is 10 years old but she can't do cartwheels or splits can she still be in the program if can't do none of those she really wanted to be in gymnastics since she left her cheerleading team at Las Vegas and she really wants to make new friends over there please reply back 😊

After attending this school, I can see tremendous improvement in my kid; both emotional as well as physical. She has become quite concerned about her personal hygiene, she does her home assignments in time and always fascinated about attending her gym sessions. She never feels tired talking about her instructors at Los Angeles School of Gymnastics. She has made new friends and enjoys company of her friends in the gym and outside. She feels protected in her new gym school.
I am quite pleased with the behavior of staff of this school. They are highly cordial and ensure that each parent receive adequate attention when visiting the school or calling up for any matter. This is indeed a great school for young kids, without any concerns.

1/16....Of all the kids gyms I've been to, this is by far the best. Ron and Dona are terrific, caring and dedicated and keep the facility spotlessly clean. We just did a third birthday there and it was spectacular! Dona helped with all the planning, set up and serving. Ron kept the kids busy for two hours by introducing another activity every 10-15 minutes. He is the child whisperer! We don't know how he does it but he absolutely works magic with the kids in his classes and at parties. All the parents and kids agreed that the party was fantastic.

1/17....One year later and we did a 4 year old party here. Once again, it was magical. Ron is absolutely amazing with the kids....kids of any age, ours ranged from 3 to 8. They love him and he keeps them laughing and playing and happy. This would be enough, but Ron and Dana also help set up the food and manage the logistics of the party, i.e., decorations, piñata, food set-up, cake, serving, etc. Their gym programs are terrific and their parties are spectacular! Thank you, again Ron and Dana!

I simply called for information on prices and classes. The women was rude on the phone and hard to understand. It seemed I was a big inconvenience for her and she put me on hold for a long time. I'm disappointed in there customer service. I will not be sending children here now. First impression are everything, if the women can't even be polite on the phone.....how are they to treat my kids.

Previously I visited LA School of Gymnastics with my niece, fulfilling my yearly aunt duties ;) , and I have to say I was very impressed with the way the handled the girls during their practice. Alex, my niece, is in the Power Tumbling class right now and all I could imagine was a circus show of kids running around everywhere but not here!

The class was very organized, the coaches provided order and extreme patience. One of the younger girls even began to cry and one of the coaches was quick to take her to the side, cheer her up, and have back out there not letting anything in the program skip a beat!

The facility was very clean as well! I am always impressed when kids are involved how clean some places are. When we lived back in Seattle I took my niece to her former gym and there was spilled snacks in the seating area, juice boxes left everywhere, and empty wrappers lined the halls. Not this place! They constantly had staff going around picking up their practice area and ensuring everything was in its place.

Last but not least LA Gymnastics has been a saving grace for my sister and her husband. Moving to a new area and school district can be hard on any kid. This place has help build friendships for their daughter that will last forever!

UPDATE: Tanya Berenson and LASG had their legal representative, Drew Harris Sherman call me to demand I take down my review and apologize. After I stated, "HELL NO" and I am speaking the truth, he then PERSECUTE me, BERATED me and when I ask simply, Did Tanya Berenson get arrested, He stood silent. I then advised, I will let EVERYONE know of the incident and the incident that led to the review. I was very surprised when I read online, about a school I know intimately, LASG, that the, daughter of owner, and general manager Tanya Berenson was arrested for being under the influence of controlled substances.

Being a role model for the Community and Gymnastics, it is disturbing to read she was arrested by the Palms Desert police, report number #T14 186 0055, for being under the influence of controlled substance.

I question now the integrity of this school. The is not the first incident, for someone at LASG to be involved with drugs, the DEA and FBI has also arrested another staff member that works at this school and is related to the owner, Alla Svirsky.

Children of all ages, children with Special Needs and Adults, come here and should not have to be exposed to anyone who is under the influence of controlled substances.

How can this “non profit” school, that receives state aid for kids who are at risk for drugs, alcohol and criminal activity, have the staff member who coordinates it , be the one to be arrested, for under the influence?

As an aunt I would like to know where my money goes, for my niece with special needs, to a school I pay for. I also would not want to have her around people who use drugs or have been arrested because of drugs.

Just as the USA Gymnastics, Olympics and other Athletic Sports and Schools believe in Zero Tolerance, I do as well. I’m sure a lot of other parents would also. You can Google this information yourself.

Thank you LASG for serving our community, providing wonderful coaches. I remember when I started training at LASG when I was 8 years old and my daughter started around the same time. I felt a level of trust that I did not find anywhere else, I truly felt like LASG was a second home to me and my family. Everyone praised my daughter each time she would come into the facility, the nice lady at the front window would always be friendly when I came in to pick her up. A few years ago I had my 2nd child who is now in the Parent & Me class and he is developing with his class and coach very well. We have been to other places for parties and events, but LASG is our natural choice it has something special, a place we can always rely on for a good quality program. I realize that there are always someone who isn’t happy but that is not the standard at LASG and I would highly recommend the school

This school has been around since 1975 and has everything from top notch coaches to a caring and knowledgeable staff that will guide you in what's best for your child. It offers many different courses for all ages and levels! I would recommend LASG to anyone and everyone that wants to get started or continue growing their skills!! The instructor was amazing and really knew how to work with a group of about 20 students with all different levels. The program goes through stretching, to basic tumbling, to do whatever you can do tumbling, to free for all, to conditioning. You can go jump on a trampoline work on that pommel horse routine or whatever. It is a really great set up.

My son was taking a competitive boys Level 4 program at another school. He was
staining to get burned out and before he quit, we wanted him to try a few schools to see if a coaching or environment change might keep him motivated. Well, we found a new home at LASG and so happy we were able to get his drive and motivation back, the coaches and boys team really made him feel welcome. They were very skilled, knowledgeable and gave him a new drive to continue competing and training. Coach Mauvel even moved him up to a different level, which I think really helped our son feel motivated, We Ctznlldrft thank Los Angeles School of Gymnastics enough for getting our 30 back on track towards his competitive career and hope that his dream of being a collegiate athlete at Stanford or UC Berkeley will come surface. My daughter broke her wrist 3 weeks before her summer camp started. We were told we would get a complete refund of the money we paid in advance with the exception of a small deposit. Over 6 months time I was given the run-around by 3 different employees and we never received more than 50% of the refund. I'd never register my daughter here and don't recommend it.
