I took the Friday power flow as a complete beginner. Josie did an amazing job making it feel accessible, while still challenging me to stretch my comfort zone. The others in the class had varying levels of experience and she balanced her instruction perfectly. There were options to level up or down as needed. I’m someone who was guilty of underestimating yoga and was happy to feel the burn of a good workout.

Overall the studio is clean and cozy. I enjoyed the more intimate space and felt welcomed by the other members of the class. The owner Lupe was very friendly as well.

I came out of class feeling very soothed and cannot recommend this studio and class enough!

I've been going to Love & Light Yoga for over a year now. The yoga instructors are excellent and they each bring their own personality to class. The class types vary from vinyasa to restorative (and there are more if you check out the site!). I usually do the Friday lunch class and find it equally challenging and relaxing. The studio is beautiful, calming and clean. The staff is always warm, friendly, and welcoming. If I can find more time in my schedule I'd be here every day they have a class! Sometimes they have community building events and celebrations. The classes are on the smaller side, so if you are a bit intimidated by yoga, this is a very comfortable place to start! I may not be able to tell you exactly what a class will be like, you should just go try one for yourself! They have a great starting package, a week unlimited! That's what I started with, now I'm hooked!

This Excelsior gem has become my yoga home over the past year. I've tried every class they offer and can't recommend them enough! The teachers create a welcoming environment for all experience levels, offering modifications that make every session accessible. Their encouragement has been invaluable on my yoga journey. We are so lucky to have Love and Light Yoga Studio in our neighborhood. This studio not only offers a wide variety of high-caliber classes (Yoga, Zumba, Pilates), but also a welcoming and supportive community that feels like a second home.

The owner, Lupe, has done an extraordinary job of cultivating an environment where there is a feeling of warmth, connectedness, and joy in every class.

Love and Light Yoga is a gem in the Excelsior neighborhood. Lupe, the owner, takes pride in her business and is kind and accommodating. She is intentional about creating a space for wellness in our community and will practice alongside you.

The studio is close to public transit and provides a calming atmosphere. I’ve taken the yin yoga and love it. Yin with Annabelle is a grounding and restorative class perfect for a midweek reset - plus there’s a sound bath at the end! I have friends who tried other classes and had glowing reviews.

I highly recommend Love and Light Yoga. The classes and owner are great, the folks who go to classes are friendly, and it’s easily accessible via the 14 and 49 Muni lines.

I have taken two different midday classes here and enjoyed them both. Lo's Friday class was joyously energizing, and I left the studio with a spring in my step. Today's Tuesday class, taught by substitute Danae, was a beautifully grounded flow with time for adjustments, which melted away the stresses of the past week.

Update - I have now taken multiple classes with Berenice Leung whose teaching is thoughtful and balanced, with sequencing that reaches every single inch of your body and mind.

Nestled amidst a variety of amenities in the heart of Excelsior you’ll find Love & Light Yoga SF, which opened Spring 2024.

Each instructor brings their own unique teachings, and they are all wonderful! A morning or mid-day session will energize your day, an evening class may have candles illuminating the studio, a subtle scent of incense, a beautiful sound bath to close a session…or all of these! I have not attended a Zumba class or Pilates Mat session (yet) but how great to have such variety in one cozy studio.

I am beyond grateful to Lupe, the owner of this studio, for bringing this wellness center to my neighborhood. Come and experience Love and Light for yourself. Take a sliver of time out of your day to do something good for yourself, and good for our community!

I'm thrilled to have a yoga studio in the Excelsior neighborhood! The studio is very welcoming with a variety of classes available and all of the classes are accessible to beginners. I'm returning to yoga practice after a long hiatus and felt a little intimidated to jump back in. There was no need to be nervous- everyone from the owner to the teachers are very kind and the classes have a really chill vibe. It's a perfect way to wrap up a weekday, take a break from wfh, or jump start your weekend. If you're curious I highly recommend you check it out!

So glad this great yoga studio has recently opened up in the Excelsior. I have been taking a week of classes so far and already feel like I have more energy. Moreover, the owner Lupe and her son Armando have made me feel very welcome and I love the neighborhood, unpretentious feel to this studio.

There is a nice variety of classes to try from restorative to vinyasa - I have enjoyed them all and the instructors are all different but equally fantastic and personable. Come check this place out!!
