Great online classes with special classes for Essential Workers and "Pay what you can afford" clientele. Luma Yoga is very involved in the community and is currently doing fundraisers for the CRZ fire victims and partnering with local charities to ensure the donations stay in the community where they are needed most. Yoga with principles - I'm a supporter!

I highly recommend Luma Yoga to anyone searching for a quality studio. The space is incredible and cultivates a community atmosphere with delicious tea to enjoy and a lounge to utilize before and after class. The teachers at Luma are knowledgeable and creative with their routines which make it a pleasure attending classes at this studio.

Fantastic and truly special Yoga Studio. Inclusive and warm - as a stressed mom of a young one, I felt welcome and cared for. The staff treats you and your child like family, and the studio is set up to foster community. The classes themselves are of high quality and varied - the instruction is intelligent and clear. The participants come from all ages and backgrounds. Itβs a genuinely unique studio that walks the talk of yoga. Blown away and grateful Santa Cruz has this place!!

Relaxing complementary atmoshpere. They provide nice organic herbal tea to drink during class or before. They offer yoga, massage and community activities. They offer many services for pre- and postnatal. Good classes and friendly instructors. Great location.

Really nice studio. From the 4 classes I took, seems to be a primarily vinyasa studio, however I noticed prenatal classes as well. The first class I took was with Jackie I believe - playful flow. She was awesome- I saw her adjust and offer modifications. I would have like an adjustment but maybe I didn't need one:) she did adjust me in shavasana. About 9 people in class as well. Lovely music, non- heated (thank god- it seems like all the other studios I read about in Santa Cruz were heated), ambient music, great long shavasana.
The second class the teacher was ok. I may have read the schedule wrong I thought it was a 90 minute class. Class ended in 60 minutes and began a few minutes late. There were only 2 of us.
The third class I took as an Align and Shine class. Fantastic class. Good music, fairly large group, but not overcrowded. Again the teacher was great about suggesting modifications, but I received zero adjustments:( overall great class. Lots of intelligent conversation about making the practice work for you. Good long shavasana.
The fourth class I took was a founders class (that's what the woman working the front desk suggested I take), taught by the owner. She was great. We did so qi gong like exercises with pranayama, I loved that. Then some vinyasa stuff. She offered some props for me when she saw my wrists were hurting. Great class. I did notice she gave quite a bit of attention to the same people. I think they were teacher trainees.
The studio had hot tea, filtered water, and childcare.
New student special was $30 for 2 weeks. I wish I could have stayed in Santa Cruz longer to take classes with the other teachers. I feel like I struck gold with this studio.
