I’ve been taking classes with Ly for a few weeks now. She’s so funny, always making jokes and on top of that a great instructor. Not to mention her dance routines are awesome. I really look forward to each class! I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.

I had an amazing experience at Ly’s Pole Studio for my first L1/L2 fundamentals pole class. The session was both challenging and fun, pushing me in ways that felt empowering and exciting. With the guidance and encouragement of the instructor, I surprised myself by achieving moves I didn’t think I could do. The studio has a wonderfully supportive and welcoming environment, which made a big difference to me as a beginner.

One of the standout aspects of Ly’s Pole Studio is its inclusivity. People of all shapes, sizes, genders, and skill levels come together in a space that feels safe and non-judgmental. I felt at home immediately, thanks to the friendly atmosphere and the genuine encouragement from the instructor and fellow students.

I’m already planning to come back—and bring some friends with me! Whether you’re interested in pole for fitness, fun, or confidence, I highly recommend Ly’s. It’s a studio that embraces everyone and makes the journey a positive one, no matter where you’re starting from.

I Love this studio!!! The teachers are amazing kind and give you the loving push to help you trust your body. The community is welcoming and incredibly diverse. As a curvy, queer Black American in my 40’s I was very worried about starting aerial arts. But I never felt old, out of place or too big. Ly and the teachers focus on safety and fundamentals to build your ability to do more than you ever thought possible.

TLDR: if you ever thought about doing pole/silk/hoop, but had doubts- just try it here.

The aerial teacher showed up 10 minutes late to the class. Not professional. Mixed level class has a few advanced students pretty much did open studio rather than learning new tricks and some advanced students complained openly after class. Too much drama, weird class experience.

My experience at Ly's Pole Studio in San Jose for an aerial silk class was nothing short of eye-opening. I joined their Level 1 class as a complete beginner, and I left feeling both exhilarated and challenged.

First off, the atmosphere at Ly's Pole Studio was welcoming and relaxed. The instructor greeted us warmly, and the studio itself was clean and spacious, which instantly put me at ease.

During the class, our instructor was not only skilled but also incredibly patient. They took the time to break down the basics of aerial silk techniques, ensuring that even newcomers like myself felt comfortable and safe. However, I will say that some of the moves felt a bit daunting at first, but the instructor's encouragement and guidance helped me push through.

What I appreciated most was the supportive environment created by both the instructor and my fellow classmates. We all cheered each other on and celebrated small victories together, which made the experience feel more like a team effort rather than a solo endeavor.

By the end of the session, I definitely felt the burn, but I also felt a sense of accomplishment. I'm excited to continue exploring aerial arts at Ly's Pole Studio.

Overall, if you're looking for a place to dip your toes into aerial silk or expand your skills further, Ly's Pole Studio is worth checking out. It's a friendly, inclusive space with great instruction and a supportive community that will keep you coming back for more.

Amazing studio and pole instructors. The environment is very welcoming for all. I highly recommend trying out this location in addition to the brand new Santa Clara location on Monroe. Thanks Ly!

I tried out one class recently with my friend and it was so much fun! I have never taken any pole or dancing classes before, but I do rock climbing regularly and this feels like a natural and fun extension. We took the foundamental pole class at San Jose. Our instructor Jane was friendly and patient and we were able to do a few interesting moves within just one class. In the first half of the class we learned a few tricks on the pole, and in the second half we learned climbing and some other foundamental moves. My knees and shins bruised quite a bit after the class, but that was expected. I had a great experience and will continue!

Amazing teachers! You don’t have to share a pole with others and can have all the practice time you want! They also have another studio in Santa Clara which is also amazing!

I had been pole dancing for a bit over a year and a half before finding Ly's Pole Studio. I've only been coming to Ly's Pole Studio for a couple months, but I already feel like my skills have improved tenfold. The teachers not only will teach you moves; they will teach you how to creatively and dynamically go from one move to another. They really put so much thought into every combo they create for each and every class!
Also, everyone at the studio is so nice and welcoming. I had just moved from Florida and didn't know anyone in the Bay Area- and within a couple months, I've already made so many new friends through the studio.
If you're looking for a studio with an uplifting environment, that will increase your strength, flexibility and creativity on the pole- this studio is for you :)

Ly was a great instructor, and hilarious! She introduced us to actual pole tricks for the fundamental lvl 1/2 which was challenging but overall very fun! And made sure everyone was welcomed and understood the moves properly. I would definitely recommend this if it’s your first time!

I looked for a place to try aerial silks for the first time and was relieved to easily book a class at this studio. In the past, I’ve had poor experiences attempting to book classes at pole studios. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case here! I received details instructions via email on attire, grooming, and Covid precautions. The studio also sent me a reminder email. It took a little while to find the studio’s suite, but there was ample parking when I arrived. There’s a filtered water system and the instructor was attentive and kind, taking the time to learn my name and make me feel welcome. It was very safe. I wish I made more progress and learned more during the class, but I expect to learn more when I go back for my second session.

Great place to safely learn aerial silks!! This review refers only to the aerial silks class here. The instructor was very knowledgeable and focused on good technique and form. The staff abides by covid protocols – temperature check, cleaning mats, separate silks, hand sanitizing, etc. making it feel safe to attend classes in current conditions. A significant portion of the first class I took was spent conditioning which is very important but I would’ve enjoyed more time on the silks (this may not be an accurate measure of how each class is). It’s worth noting that the space is fairly small (website says 1500 sq ft), and ceilings not very high for silks. Not sure if this is always the case or if it is a covid protocol, but it was also unfortunate that ~15 mins of class time was spent in rigging/unrigging the silks, which each student does on their own. It’s possible the space constraints prevent the silks from being rigged in place. I appreciate the vibe of the studio which seems to provide an intimate connection between teachers and students with their small class sizes. Looking forward to taking more classes here and working on improving my form!

This place and Ly are amazing. I cannot wait to keep going. First class (fundamental) is friendly for all levels and all people. I urge you to give it a shot. And it’s very affordable

Fantastic studio. I went in with no experience and Ly had me spinning, climbing, and upside down on the pole. If you are looking for a studio that pushes you to achieve what you don’t think you are capable of doing this is the one.

Probably the least professional studio you can find in the Bay Area. Terrible instructor not to mention terrible owner. It's kinda comical how they can even survive as a business with such unprofessionalism.

I have attended a handful of classes now with Ly’s pole studio and am confident when I say I would recommend this studio to others who are interested in trying pole dancing. I had no experience with dancing or pole or any type of choreography. Ly made me feel welcomed, supported, and pushed me to do things I didn’t think I could do. It’s amazing to see how many people are in the more advanced classes and are super successful!
