I have been regularly practicing at Magic Carpet Yoga for more than 6 months now, about 2x/week going to mainly Hatha, Yin, and Restorative classes. I started my practice to supplement weightlifting and to help with a chronic knee condition and improve my overall health and flexibility. I have achieved all of these things and so much more thanks to the deep knowledge and compassion of Amit, Kelly, Dani, Emily, and all of the other instructors that I have had the pleasure of learning from. In years past I have been to some of the big yoga studios in LA and always felt lost in the crowd and frustrated as a beginner not knowing how to do the poses correctly. At MCY I receive personal attention in each class and truly feel a part of the wonderful community there. I recommend MCY to everyone and anyone from beginners curious about yoga to those with hundreds of hours practicing.

A few months ago, my sister-in-law took me to her favorite yoga studio, Magic Carpet Yoga, while I was visiting her in L.A. Let me explain that I'm a hard person to impress when it comes to yoga, as I started my healer's journey in my 20's & 30's as a yoga practitioner in NYC and Denver. Amit's class utterly exceeded my expectations. His teaching style was concise and clear, directional yet gentle and compassionate. He knew exactly how to give personalized attention without disrupting the flow of a multi-level class. He inspired me to challenge myself while honoring my current state of being. I believe there's a yoga master living amongst ya'll in L.A.! Enjoy!

I went to Magic Vinyasa with Dani Nuñez, I really enjoyed it and loved the modifications she did for me throughout class. I liked that it’s a class for any level, she gives various options to deepen the practice and her instructions are easy to follow if you are new to yoga. You will definitely leave energized after her class.

I was nervous about attending a workshop with my daughter since I don’t practice yoga regularly. Amit was welcoming, encouraging, and extremely knowledgeable. He conveys and follows the true principles of yoga. Other instructors were there, as Amit is a respected mentor. His studio is clean, calming and well-equipped. Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, would benefit from his excellent instruction!

Ahhhh... Ahhhh... Ahhhh... Amit and his team bring an amazingly pure yogic approach to the practice. And that's what we do - practice every session, with intention and joy. Magic Carpet is a joyful studio, meeting every student where they are in an inclusive and educational way. I learn something every single time I'm in the studio - and often I just burst out into giggles when I realize I needed to learn something. Amit is a master, bringing together the intention, heart, mind, and body with a mastery of music as an added bonus.
Magic Carpet brings yoga to an art form. Unique and perfect for every person in the room (or on camera!). I love it here.

I want to say thank you to Amit and all the teachers at MC Yoga. I've been going for a few months now and I look forward to it every time. The studio is a welcoming and peaceful environment. I've observed there to be a wide range of experience in the students, but it always feels like a cohesive session for a beginner like me. One of my favorite aspects of Amit's technique is that he demonstrates a deep knowledge of how each posture relates to the body as a whole. I already feel so much better than before I started...I highly recommend this place!

I've been taking classes regularly at Magic Carpet Yoga for the past two months and I can confidently say that this studio is the best place to learn yoga in LA. Amit, the owner and instructor, has extensive knowledge of yoga and provides detailed instructions on how to perform each posture, while also being able to adjust the practice to suit all levels of experience. Unlike other studios that claim to cater to all levels, Amit and his team actually follow through on that promise. The atmosphere at Magic Carpet Yoga is welcoming and inclusive, making it the perfect environment for deepening your yoga practice. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to experience the true benefits of yoga in a supportive and encouraging environment.

We love attending classes at Magic Carpet Yoga. It has become a regular part of our wellness routine. My personal favorite is the Magic Yin class. It has helped me deal with stress and improve flexibility. Our instructor, Amit, is very knowledgable, friendly, and pays close attention to each student. Even though I started as a beginner, I felt very comfortable from day one and could definitely notice improvement within a few days. Highly recommend Magic Carpet Yoga!

I began practicing with Amit Heri regularly as a beginner several months ago. I value Amit’s precise instructions because I can learn how to move my body for each pose. Amit gives us instructions for the earlier stages as well as the final stage of each pose so a beginner like me can safely practice without injuries. He also gives us a variety of focuses in each class, which is enjoyable and rewarding. I feel very fortunate to have found such an incredible yoga teacher. He is smart, knowledgeable, and skilled, and I appreciate his teaching moments when he passes on the wisdom from his teachers. I trust that if I continue to practice and follow his instructions, my body will open up and achieve my health goals. Yoga has also become part of my spiritual practices. Amit plays the guitar during Shavasana, and it is such a treat to hear him sing. I highly recommend him as a yoga teacher for those who seriously want to grow and transform their lives through yoga.

A lovely studio that is a learning center of yoga arts and science. It is a space that is guiding practitioners in the systematic unfolding of personal realization through yoga practices via a non commercial perspective, straight from the undiluted origins of yoga itself, India. Very fresh these days!.

Magic Carpet yoga has very positive energy in the space. The owner and teacher, Amit Heri is amazing. He teaches with patience, kindness, and intelligence. He is adept at working with someone who is attending their very first yoga class or someone who has years and years of practice. He knows exactly how to help physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I love the practice and you will too.
