Ashley A’s classes are the best in town! Always feel stronger and werked (spelling intended-IYKYK) leaving her classes! I love her attention to detail and personal form corrections to ensure I am working safely and getting the most out of my workout. Her verbal cues are on point and her demonstrations during class are very helpful. She offers modifications and progressions to meet every client’s needs/ abilities. The studio space is inviting, clean, and has everything you need to simply show up! If you are looking for a welcoming community and great workout- visit Ashley at MBDY+ Be!

This studio is unique and wonderful! I have been a member for many years and appreciate the diversity in its classes and the knowledge of its instructors. I have many helpful studio experiences I intend to share and will start with a unique class called COREcentric.
I think of this class as a valuable and essential pre-requisite to other fitness and dance classes. With class curriculum developed by the studio owner herself to rehab from opersonal injury, this class has taught me core muscle contraction and movement techniques that allow me to effectively engage my other muscle groups correctly and effectively to minimize injury. I have more mobility and strength to effectively apply in physical therapy sessions, dance and fitness classes, as well as everyday activities. A must do class to try and stick with!

I love MBDY+be! I'm going on 2 years as a Rose member and I see such a difference in my strength, body and ability to follow along in classes. The instructors and variety of classes offer something for everyone. It's a welcoming community of people who love to dance, move their body and feel good! Playlists are second to none too and who doesn't love that?! I can't say enough about how grateful I am to have found this amazing studio.

Attended my first heels dance class with my best friend (I’m definitely not a dancer), and we had an absolute blast! The energy from the other women in the class was so welcoming and supportive. AJ was an incredible teacher—fun, engaging, and so inspiring! She encouraged us to express ourselves, tap into our sensuality, and own our confidence. I’m carrying these moves and this energy with me into the week ahead. Thank you, AJ & MBDY+BE!

I haven't taken a dance class in almost 30 years, but I recently decided to sign up for the Theatrical Dance workshop (taught by Aj Anderson), and it was so much fun! It helped that the song she chose for our dance was Cell Block Tango from Chicago - quite possibly my favorite Broadway musical of all time! After getting us into the right mindset by doing some fun exercises that helped us better understand what makes theatrical dance a bit different, Aj provided us with fun choreography that was easy enough for even the least experienced dancer to learn, yet still looked awesome. We learned it in sections, making it easy to put it all together. Then the sections were incorporated in different orders throughout the song, meaning we were able to perform the entire song!! She even added an extra bit of fun to the dance by breaking us up so we had specific solos where we were able to improvise our own theatrical dance for our randomly assigned character. Aj checked in with all of us before moving on to a new section of the dance, ensuring we were all confident in the choreography. She also provided modification options for anyone who felt like certain moves were too advanced (or vice versa - more experienced dancers had the option to modify with a more complex move). I also talked to some of the other students in the class, and many of them said they were unfamiliar with the musical or the song, yet still had a ton of fun! Thank you, Aj!!

I've never really been able to dance... at weddings and parties I usually just sit back and watch everyone else. For the longest time I couldn't even find the beat in a song! That all changed when I got engaged and I knew how much my partner loves to dance. So I stepped outside my comfort zone and signed up with Elease to take private lessons. With the main goal being to just find some confidence on the dance floor and be able to dance at events with my partner. Elease truly has surpassed ALL my expectations. She has created such a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for me. Each lesson, I leave feeling accomplished, more confident and truly blown away by how effortlessly she breaks movement down for me to understand. I am SO grateful for MDBY+ and her warm, empowering, and encouraging atmosphere. Please trust me when I say, if she can teach me to find the rhythm she really can teach ANYONE!

If you’re looking for a place to workout, meet incredible women and feel like a part of a true community then look no further. Not only are their classes HARD in the best way, all of their instructors are super well qualified and make you feel so so welcome. If you’re not sure which class to start with, try one with Elease! Honestly the best studio I’ve ever been to. Their class schedule of dance, barre, pilates, strength training and HIIT makes it so that I’m never bored working out and I’m always pushing my comfort zone. They really encourage a mind-body-soul connection and treat you like a whole person. So lucky to have found this place!

I love this new studio in Encinitas! The vibe is incredible and every class I have been to so far as been amazing. I can't wait to try them all out. I've done a lot of barre classes and Elise's class is by far the best barre class I've ever done. I love when they mix some cardio in there. I always feel like I get a full rounded workout.

The community here is unparalleled, everyone is very supportive and welcoming. I love the diversity of classes which allows me to push my comfort zone in new ways regularly. Budika (their signature yoga class inspired by the warrior queen of the same name) is my favorite class because it gives me the perfect balance of soul and body workout, while it keeps me connected with my divine feminine. Cardio Hip hop classes are very popular for a reason: they are SO MUCH FUN! Friday morning cardio hip hop is the higher level class and if you want in, you must sign up in advance to secure a spot. Jazz is a classic not to be missed, and if you like to embrace your full femininity you must try Sass and Strut as well as Soul Dance. Brooke will kick your butt in Barre class, so that’s one class you take to get super toned and strong. Not to be missed is the Guilty Pleasures monthly class. This class, taught by Beth who is great at making dance accessible to all levels, is basically a party where you get to channel your inner diva while sipping on mimosas.Elease, the owner of Be, is truly an inspiration and as a leader she is very humble in guiding this community and creating a space for us to move. The best thing about Be, is that the community is inclusive of women of all ages and backgrounds. You get to learn so much and be constantly inspired by everyone’s journey. I’m beyond grateful to have crossed paths with the beautiful down to Earth women of Be.
