The Multi-Cultural Dance Center is the secret gem in the community! The moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with warmth, acceptance, and a sense of belonging. All instructors create encouraging atmospheres where dancers of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels are welcomed and are supported.
They have a selection of classes from hip-hop and ballet to cultural dance styles. Students learn the fundamentals of dance and rhe history. They make education affordable and accessible for everyone of all ages, needs, and levels.
Beyond classes, MCDC is deeply involved in the community, performing at local events, organizing cultural showcases. They are constantly working hard to create amazing performances that celebrate diversity and creativity.
Their dedication is never ending and are always expanding on their knowledge. They host fundraisers to help take dancers to workshops in and out of state, giving students the opportunity to grow, learn, and experience new environments.
Everyone here is passionate about dance, culture, and connection. The Multi-Cultural Dance Center doesn’t just teach dances, they help build confidence within oneself. "Dance to express, not impress."

0 follow through, 0 commitment, 0 stars. Owner, Rebecca, cancels class last minute all the time without offering make-up classes or refunds. She also punishes committed dancers by cancelling on them in real-time if the rest of the class fails to show, indicating that they didn’t pay for a private lesson therefore class cancellation is justified. Unprofessional, theft, entitled attitude without honoring families with rendering services they paid for.

I really wanted to like this place. It's great for the community. Unfortunately, the communication was absent along with not following through with what they shared they will provide. No communication and support for new dancers.

I'm all for supporting small businesses; however, I expect a service to be rendered when I pay for it. Sadly, the owner/instructor has built a poor reputation because she cancels class last minute, all the time. Out of 11 prepaid classes from November 2021 to January 2022, 6 of those classes were cancelled by owner/instructor, and only 1 class was made up. This is theft at best.
Owner/instructor's reasons for cancelling have ranged from "it's too cold outside" (on a 60 degree F morning) to even scheduling non-essential doctor appointments during our short and prepaid 30 minute morning class--outrageous! Clearly priorities are elsewhere as opposed to the paying students that are committed to attending class on a weekly basis.
I understand things come up and I gave the benefit of the doubt for 3 months, hoping the cancellations were not the norm. I was proven wrong time and time again with the countless last-minute cancellations. At times I would receive notice of last-minute cancellations when I was around the corner from the dance studio, minutes before start of class.
All in all, our 2 enrolled ballerinas received less than half of the 3 months of dance lessons I diligently prepaid for month after month, with no refunds extended for all the missed classes due to owner/instructor's lack of commitment. I don't understand how MCDC is still in business as this is not a business model to withstand the test of time. Consider taking your dancers elsewhere. You've been warned.
