I’ve worked out in over 100 gyms worldwide. This is by far the greatest gym I’ve ever been to. If you are truly serious about fitness and love to be around positive energy, do yourself a favor and just stop by and check it out. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Was a member of this gym for a few years and just recently ended my business with them on a sour note.

Positives: usually not too busy, has what you need for a decent workout, nice array of classes.

Negatives: locker room needs it’s own section; only one shower ever works and is usually clogged so you end up standing in a pool of murky gym water, the sauna is ALWAYS out of order. There is a perpetual smell of sewage and usually a urinal filled with unflushed urine that won’t go down.

Ceiling leaks, be sure to stay away from the electrical box that is normally right underneath a large leak.

You rate will magically go up and they’ll blame it on “tax cuts” which makes no sense.

If you ever decide you want to cancel your membership you can expect a non response from the email they direct you to until they’ve squeezed another month’s payment out of you. Reminder, they want 30 days notice (ridiculous) and in my case they agreed to refund me my money but it’s been a couple weeks now and I’ve yet to see anything hit my account so I’m not holding out hope.

I advise you to take your business elsewhere.

I was a bit skeptical about the price of this gym and I have to tell you that I was impressed with at the size of the gym and all the equiptment which includes ellipticals, free weights, power plate, bikes seriously this place is awesome. It beats EQUINOX over the park, seriously this place is awesome, sure it does not have towel service or an overpriced juice bar, but I left with a great impression of this place.

Great gym with an amazing staff, decent variety of equipment and fun classes. I highly recommend! Some of the low ratings given were preposterous; Metro Fitness deserves 5+ stars without a doubt

I bought a Living Social deal for 2 months of unlimited classes for $29, and it was a good deal. The gym is spacious and has plenty of new equipment, as well as a small sauna in the locker rooms. The instructors for the classes are really energetic and cool, and they know what they're doing as far as fitness, especially Ralph. They offered me a free training session with a personal trainer (they offer it to all new members), which I declined but they insisted I should just do, so I did. Afterwards the trainer was extremely pushy in trying to convince me to buy future sessions with her, and I just really don't want to be force sold something when I want to work out on my own. They are shady with billing as they told me I was on a month-to-month membership, and yet they signed me up for automatic payments without notifying me. The only way I found out is because they emailed me a bill with a past due charge and a late fee after they couldn't charge my debit card because it had expired. They are owned by ASF International Corporation and they operate with corporate shady politics. Go to your local independent gym with trustworthy policies.
