I honestly don’t even know where to begin because Mighty has been such a bright spot in my life. All of the different studios are such a vibe but the Berkeley studio holds a special place in my heart. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with such positivity—it’s truly a breath of fresh air. The staff and instructors here are not only incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but they’re also genuinely kind, encouraging, and attentive to every individual’s needs. You never feel like just another client—they take the time to get to know you and don't just treat you like it's their job.
The management and front desk staff are always so kind and attentive. It’s so clear how much love and care goes into running this place smoothly, thoughtfully, and with such a high standard of quality. Every class is well-structured, the studio is always clean and welcoming, and there’s a real sense of community that’s hard to find elsewhere.
My experience—and the experiences of so many others I’ve referred—has been nothing but positive. I suppose no place is immune to the occasional issues, but I can say with full confidence that this studio is the real deal.
If you’re looking for a new studio, I couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s a gem, and I feel lucky to have found it!

I hate giving bad reviews but after practicing here regularly for almost a year, though they have some gifted teachers, I cannot give a recommendation. Unfortunately, the management doesn't take safety seriously.
An instructor taught an advanced move to a mixed-level class without providing progressions/modifications. When a woman got hurt (flew off the box and into the reformer well), the instructor blew it off.
I expressed my concern to the studio manager via email, and she did not respond to me for 9 days. In fact, she didn't reply until I wrote in to cancel my membership.
At that time, she told messaged a confirmation that she was canceling my membership. Of course two weeks later I was charged! Then, it took the manager 3 days and 2 emails for her to respond to my request for a refund.
I don't know if this is because of the new ownership or if the manager needs coaching, but I can't spend that much money (or any $$) at a place that does not address safety concerns.
The East Bay has plenty of better options.

Many of the studios have software that pesters you constantly to write reviews- Mighty's included. More attention reducing this digital aftermath in the customer experience would be great. The instructors here are better than other studios but the 12-hour cancellation is oppressive. At $37+ a class (on a package) when something comes up 5 hours in advance, the 12 hours advance notice is a shame-you can't do anything. Cost per class or fewer hours cancel policy- one or the other, not both. I'm sure it's tough to run a SMB but bulk class purchases should offer something more affordable ($25 or $30 a class) for all the advance revenue. 108 more classes and I'll have spent what it costs to buy my own reformer.

Pilates reformer newb here! I’ve really enjoyed the private and group classes at this studio. The setting doesn’t feel too busy, and all the teachers I’ve had have been very constructive, patient and kind. After decades of contact sports, this is what my body needs and I’m here for it.

This was my first experience with pilates and it was so great! I signed up for a semi-private class with Britt and she was awesome. She me feel very comfortable, walked me through how to use the machine, and answered any questions I had throughout the session while she guided me through the entire workout. I felt both challenged and supported the entire time. I went into this not knowing what to expect, but afterwards felt a new level of respect for pilates and am now incorporating classes into my schedule. Britt made this entire experience so seamless and stress free which I really appreciated. The studio is also very clean, new, and fully stocked! Highly recommended.

Pilates first timer! I haven't worked out in years, but when I saw Mighty was opening in Berkeley, something told me to try, and I am so glad I did! By far my favorite and the best workout I have ever done. I just started going but am already excited for classes rather than dreading working out. I did three private lessons to get acquainted with Lauren and Britt. Both instructors were warm, patient, and tailored the sessions to what was best for me and my body. The workouts are fun, but you definitely feel the burn, so I am excited to keep practicing and getting stronger. So excited to start classes here this week! Highly recommend Mighty, and it doesn't hurt the studio is cute and inviting!

The new location of Mighty Pilates in Berkeley is awesome! The instructors are incredibly great - really knowledgeable and thoughtful positive teachers. The space is welcoming and very well equiped. Pilates is expensive, but this studio has good packages which make it more affordable.
The foundations classes are a solid way to get started if you haven't done Pilates before (and there's a good first timer discount package), but even better is to take some private sessions which really helps you understand the specifics (there's an entry package for that, too).
Pilates is not like any other exercise I have done and I've done everything! The focus on your core and spine helps you stand up straighter and feel how you hold your body - so every other activity you do is enhanced. My body gets stronger and my balance get better - and yeah - it really does improve my mood! Must be all that spinal fluid getting released and refreshing my brain cells.

I could not be happier that Mighty Pilates has come to the Elmwood! I had been without pilates for 4+ years, because it took me too long to get to the studio, I had young kids, the pandemic...etc. I've taken 3 classes with 3 different teachers now, and though they are all "Foundations", they've covered different types of movements and exercises. They are a challenging but gentle reentry into Pilates, and the teachers have all been great in their own strengths.
I'm impressed with how warm and welcoming and body-inclusive the studio is; everything is new and clean and thoughtfully done, and I feel absolutely comfortable and cared for as a student. Pilates is not an inexpensive habit, but the pricing is reasonable compared to other studios, and it's an investment worth making.

Great studio. Been to their other locations and this one is superb. Cool open concept with very high ceiling, skylights for natural light and exposed beams and brick combined with their brand aesthetic make this one of the best Pilates studios in the Bay.
