I really enjoyed the Mighty Foundations class with Rebecca! She focuses on proper posture and alignment, offering helpful mini adjustments throughout. She’s friendly and approachable, and I left feeling great and fully stretched out. Highly recommend!

Love taking classes here! The studio itself is really nice and clean. Instructors are great - there's a variety of classes you can take, and I like that the classes feel very doable, but still provide a good and challenging work out. Front desk staff is also super nice.

I’ve been coming for a few years & it’s a very different experience than other group studios (those that blast music & fill the class with 30 people who are clearly injuring themselves)

Only 10 machines total. Mellow music so you can focus on your body & actually do Pilates. Good vibes teachers …less about jumping to Beyoncé & more about alignment.

I have taken over 1000 pilates classes at this studio. The teachers are fantastic; each teaches in their own fashion so there is a nice mix of styles. They give important corrections and are attentive to safety. The support staff are friendly and helpful and the studio is pleasant.

The best Pilates studio with the best instructor, Derrick. I started with his regular reformer class and gradually worked my way up to his power class. There really isn’t a week that goes by without pilates here.

I’ve been taking reformer at this studio since 2018. Their instructors are welcoming and understand that everyone’s bodies are different. It’s a great place to take in a class to forget about what else is happening around you.

I’ve been taking Mighty Pilates classes in Presidio Heights for about two months and I am loving it. Every instructor has been fantastic — each person has a different style but all are excellent in their own ways. I also love how every single class is different — I’m constantly amazed at how we’re using the reformer and the props in so many different ways. It keeps things fun and interesting for me. My daughter has been going to Mighty Pilates in Westwood (and occasionally comes with me to Presidio Heights when she’s home from college) and has the same positive feedback about the experience at that location. I'm a Mighty Pilates devotee!

Be warned they are uptight with no flexibility. I saw availability opened up for a 12 o'clock vs my 1 o'clock booked class and I called the studio to swap classes. So funny, they said I had to pay for two classes to make that work.

Do not expect rational customer service!

These classes are short and not worth the money. The variation in instructors is WILD. Some are great, some are frankly less than great. The worst part however is the management. Customer service? Non existent. I registered for a class. Had a confirmation. Showed up to said class and was told I was on the waitlist. There was an open reformer. I asked if I could take it. Was told I needed to wait 10 minutes (into a 50 minute class) to see if anybody showed up for it. After 6 minutes, it was clear nobody was showing up. I asked. Was told I needed to wait. Waited another 2 minutes. Was told I needed to wait. I walked out. I then emailed the manager. I got the most patronizing email, even sending proof of my confirmation. Despite not getting charged, I had already paid for parking. She said she'd "look into it" and never did, zero follow up. I have been taking pilates classes at other studios for over a decade and these are the least serious classes and just not worth the money. So many other new studios popping up. Take your money and your body elsewhere.

It depends on the instructor, while some are more helpful than others on correcting form. Then there’s one that will laugh at you & walk away rather than checking if you’re ok or suggesting another way to do the form. The people are alright, not a lot of smiling faces. But the classes are still fun & I enjoy it for the most part.

I’ve been coming to Mighty Pilates for a year now and I absolutely love it. It’s in a nice area where it’s fairly easy to park, and all the instructors are very nice and qualified. The pricing is something you can’t do much about since this is SF but I will say that spending your money at this studio is worth it and I don’t regret it at all. If you are looking for a reformer Pilates studio, look no further you won’t find a better one that this place, and I’ve tried a bunch in the city.

The Mighty Pilates studio in SF is amazing! Couldn’t recommend it more if you’re looking for more of a traditional pilates practice on the reformer. I’ve gone to a few different instructors classes and each one never disappoints. Each instructor has a different teaching style but all still give you a great workout. They all have been super helpful, fun, and welcoming in class making it an awesome environment to workout in. They are also focused on making sure you have the correct technique to give the most effective workout possible and aren’t rushing through the motions. The studio is super cute with gorgeous high ceilings and clean. I look forward to my sessions every week!

I've done a couple private sessions and a class at Mighty and have had a good experience. I'm a person of size who is starting regular movement after a long break and I have felt welcome there, which is not at all the case for every movement space. The studio is really nice while avoiding being precious, good solid equipment, clean, pretty to look at, helpful amenities (such as mouthwash in the bathroom, tea bar, water). I really like it so far!

I have been attending private Pilates appointments at Mighty Pilates consistently three times per week since April of this year (2024). In that time, I have never canceled an appointment, with one exception: I recently experienced severe heart/chest pains, which were intense enough that I would have needed to go to the ER had they persisted. Just last week, on the morning of my scheduled private Pilates appointment, I developed sudden COVID-like symptoms—fever, sore throat, and runny nose—along with food poisoning from something I ate the night before. Out of concern for my own health, as well as the safety of those at the studio, including my instructor, I requested to cancel the appointment.

Despite this, the studio manager refused to grant an exception and still charged me for the canceled session. Meanwhile, my private Pilates instructor has had to cancel on me multiple times, most recently with just two hours’ notice. I want to be clear that this is not a critique of my instructor—she has been excellent, and I fully understand and support her need to cancel when she is unwell. However, it seems the same understanding is not extended to clients who are unwell and need to cancel.

I had hoped to continue at Mighty Pilates, as I truly enjoy the convenience, the classes, and working with my instructor. However, given this experience, and the studio’s lack of flexibility in recognizing that illness—something no one can predict—can impact clients just as it does instructors, I have decided I will not be returning.

Super inflexible late policy. Arrived 10 minutes late and instructor wouldn’t let me join. I don’t appreciate fitness/wellness places that don’t account for “life” or have some forgiveness in their values—their whole institutions exist to help folks live healthier but then you’re depriving me of the one time I can workout in a day. I am an adult and can warm myself up / make sure I don’t get hurt + have signed all the waivers so they are not liable. It’s unnecessary and not welcoming. (Maybe consider having the rule in writing but make some exceptions when people still show up at your door)

I called 30min before the visit to see if I can come and ask questions about private classes. The front desk said yes and I came in but there was only a class going on and the instructor told me there is no one at the front desk today so I had to leave. If I was told that there is no one at the front desk today when I called, I probably saved my time coming all the way down here.

Don’t go to Molly’s class. The worst instructor ever. She doesn’t know what she is doing. No Flow at all. No proper programming. The footwork started after 30 mins… she started with Planks, Jumping Jacks, Elephant? HELLO!!! Can you pls replace her? She will definitely kill your studio. Why don’t you put Derrick or Victoria on her Thursday class. Find a good replacement for Dianna or Rachel who used to teach that particular time slot on Thursday 11am and 12nn. Love Mighty Pilates SF. But Molly is horrible. Try and watch her class. She is consistently getting a bad reviews in Class Pass and yelp.

I can’t imagine life without Mighty Pilates! My husband and I started at Mighty during the pandemic, taking rooftop reformer classes in Marin, and it was a game-changer for our physical health. We both started getting toned, feeling strong, and all of a sudden found ourselves in the best shape of our lives. We’ve tried many different instructors and some favorites include Cassandra, Victoria, and Anne-Lise. I couldn’t recommend Mighty Pilates more!

I'm plus sized and haven't always felt welcome in fitness spaces in the past. The Team at Mighty Pilates SF, however, has been very warm and welcoming.

I want to thank Cassandra, in particular. She always ensures that I'm clear on modifications that work for my body and that means so much to me. She also doesn't make a big deal out of it or make me feel weird.

She has a chill vibe and a very dry sense of humor. That works for me but might not be other folks' cup of tea. And that's ok (from someone who's not everyone's cup of tea either!)

Mighty Pilates challenges the notion that pilates classes are just for "stretching and lengthening". While that is a byproduct of any pilates class, Mighty goes beyond and provides a challenging, break-a-sweat, muscle trembling experience that leaves you feeling lighter, wrung out and just the right amount of sore. Whether you're a novice or a veteran, these instructors will meet you where you are at, providing precise and expert guidance, challenging you at your level along the way. Mighty is an amazing addition to the Marin fitness scene!

Pilates is all about the quality of the teacher- unfortunately for Mighty Pilates Cassandra’s classes are taught with low energy and the vibe that she doesn’t want to be there. It wasn’t a difficult class, but inarticulate instruction made it hard to follow along. I felt bad for classmates who were mocked by the teacher for doing things “wrong,” when they were just poorly coached. I look forward to trying other teachers and hope there is improvement.

I've been to many different pilates studios. Mighty Pilates is the best! The studio is worth the hype; it's clean and well laid out. The instructors are top notch!

They know how to work each muscle of your body. The instructors are great at watching you during class for technique corrections and guiding your through the exercises. Other studios want you to do more repetitions, however at MP 8 well done repetitions are enough. I love learning new exercises on the reformer.
