About the Club

I started personal training in the fall of 2014 after graduating from the National Personal Training Institute in which I became NASM certified. Since then I have gone on to become Titleist Performance Institute Fitness Level 2 Certified, Functional Movement Screening certified, US Powerlifting Coach certified, level 1 Crossfit coach, Functional Range Conditioning certified, as well as a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach.

We are “old” and love working with Mike! We come to it from a unique place - we are NOT young people trying to get as strong as we can. I am nearing 60, and my husband is looking at 70. We had never worked out with a trainer in our lives. Plus, I’ve had two back surgeries. We met with Mike 2-3 years ago, embarrassed at how out of shape we were. I discussed my back surgeries and the fact that my fear of hurting it again was creating a situation in which I would DEFINITELY hurt it again. Anyone knows that you have to keep moving and strengthen your muscles to stabilize your spine. Mike discussed HIS training and education, certificates, experience, style, etc. and we liked him. More importantly, and some won’t get this part: we felt safe. Safe that he’d work within our body’s limitations… and safe from ridicule at how far we’d let ourselves fall! We are now 2-3 years down the road, and we credit Mike AND ourselves for where we are today. We do this to improve our health and our livelihood. My husband got hit with Vertigo, and the vestibular specialist gave us some paperwork - Mike read it and created workouts/activities that fit the guidelines! Basically he created a PT regimen to speed up recovery! I have osteoarthritis in my hips, so some days I show up in discomfort and he reworks his scheduled plan to accommodate my aging body! Working with Mike means we can play with our grandchildren more, and longer! We do yard work with confidence and stamina. We go up and down stairs easier. I recently helped someone far younger than I am with bags of soil at Home Depot! I rarely think about my back now. For us, it’s quality of life. Like I said, we came at this from a different place than many others. Anyone who reads this and sees themselves in my words, I am here to tell you that he will work with you, and meet you where you are… but always pulling you gently forward.

I have been working out with Mike Stauber since mid-March, and I couldn't be happier with the results and the overall experience. As someone who typically hates sweating, Mike makes working out - dare I say - pretty fun. Training in general can be super intimidating, especially for me as a non-gym girlie, but Mike makes everything very approachable. Between my mother and I's ever-changing injuries, he is the most patient, ensuring our workouts are tailored towards our goals but also to whatever hurts that day. He's also great at pushing me when I need it, which at 6am is pretty often. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've actually come to look forward to our weekly torture sessions. I’ve been training with Mike for about a year, and it’s the best thing I could’ve done for myself. While I have a hectic and constantly changing schedule, Mike continues to accommodate it and always pushes me. He is extremely knowledgeable, supportive, patient and has 0 judgement-but will make sure you are pushing yourself and progressing. Mike Stauber is an excellent trainer. I have been working with Mike for close to 6 months. I was weary about starting this training regime at 66 years old. But I am so happy that I did. He understood that I needed to start slowly and gradually increase the level of work-out intensity. Mike explains what each exercise works on and is very personable. I had originally planned on working out with Mike for a month or two in order to gain an understanding of safe weight training. I started training with Mike about 7 years ago. I tried other local gyms but it wasn’t what I was looking for. The individual and group settings Mike provides have made a difference in helping me achieve my goals. I started going to his boot camp class and found it is a great fit for my daily workout. After my knee replacement a few years ago Mike created alternative exercises within the workouts that would assist in my overall recovery. I was in need of a power lifting program and heard about Mike and his company. His experience with power lifting has helped develop my lifts and has gotten me past that point of no progress and into higher numbers I didn't think was possible. Especially in only a couple months! My max deadlift alone increased by about 20% in 8 weeks and other lifts are following that same pattern! I can always message him for tips on the programming he provides and he's always available to chat or work on mobility. Also knowledgeable in HIIT and CrossFit and can apply power lifting to that realm as well. Couldn't be happier!

As a woman, I wanted to find someone that is a good trainer but also where I can feel comfortable since he’s a man.
Mike is super profesional and I feel comfortable training with him.
I have been going to train with him for about 3 months
I have seen improvements in my strength and body
Every time I have a question or I need to talk to him, he answers super quick. When I was looking for a trainer I found a girl trainer named Adriana. I called her and she didn’t answer, I message her on Instagram she was active but didn’t look at it. And finally I emailed her and she took like two days to answer. After that she was like “I’m not ignoring you I’ll send you the info tomorrow I promise”, and she didn’t. Communication is super important for me too. And Mike is always really good at it.
Love his dog Rogue! He’s sweet.
His place is clean and organized.
Price wise, it’s affordable.

I've been going to Mike for personal training for the last 3 months, and in those 3 months I have noticed my energy level, body strength and over all health and well-being increase dramatically. Mike is not only extremely knowledgeable about workouts and nutrition, he also knows body ergonomics and the anatomy and physiology of how the workout will benefit you. I have been training with Mike since 2015 - at 57 I have unique needs than when I was 25 and invincible. I suffered severe injuries in 2016 and Mike would customize my training to help me overcome these multiple injuries 6 months sooner than doctors told me it would take. I have just completed my 10th Spartan race and would not have been able to achieve the level of performance, consistently placing in the top 10 in my age group and top 25% of other age groups, without Mike's expertise. He was there to guide and encourage me. Mike can provide his expertise in both training techniques, physiology and nutrition to bring out the best in his clients. I have tried trainers in the past but have not found one who truly embraces the career choice to the level Mike has. He constantly improves his knowledge and certifications. He is committed to tailoring to each client’s individual need. I tend to let me career impact my training but Mike has gotten me to once again prioritize my physical fitness. I do both face-to-face and virtual training with Mike, so can make fitness part of my daily schedule. I am empowered and strong! Thank you, Mike.

Like most people, I started this year with the mindset that I was going to start going to the gym and start working on my body. Thanks to Mikes bootcamp class, that was possible. I've gone for a few months so far and can't express how impressed I am with the changes my body has undergone. Mike is supportive and motivating. He's works so well with people and knows when its appropriate to push them harder and when its the right time to let them move at their own pace. Mike has been training me for a few months now. And I absolutely LOVE him. Nothing really worked for me before. No gyms, no bootcamps, no workouts. Because I didn't have the knowledge or the motivation. But Mike is a great combination of knowledge, understanding, support and motivation. He gives you new and different workouts every few weeks which keeps things interesting and fun. He gets to know your personal needs and goals first and then customizes the workouts accordingly. He sure has pushed me harder to do my better. And the results are great. I could barely run before but now I keep beating my own old record.

Mike is an awesome trainer! He gets to know his clients so he knows their abilities. With this knowledge he knows when to push harder and when to back off. I have been training with him since he completed his certification. He’s always trained me with MY goals in mind, whether it was doing my first Spartan, running my first half marathon, or weight loss. Safety is a priority of Mike’s as well. I love how much he pays attention to my form in each exercise we do. I know I am now in the best physical condition I have ever been in!
