Mini's coaches and staff are absolutely incredible. My husband and I have been members for several years and through the years, the coaches consistently demonstrate expert knowledge, positive encouragement and provide adaptations as needed for limitations. They watch out for you during your workout, bolster your confidence, correct your form when needed and create a non-threatening workout culture. You truly become part of the family. Members come from all kinds of athletic backgrounds and levels of fitness and abilities, yet, the coaches provide individualized attention in the small class environment. Workouts are changed often, and Saturday and Wednesday offerings offer something different as well. Also, with classes starting every half hour, there's anyways a class you can jump into. We love Mini's and wholeheartedly recommend it! 5 stars!

We appreciate Coach Kyle! Both my boys started working out at MHOP early and learned the foundations of safe lifting and conditioning while being challenged to be stronger. Fast forward to highschool and we were all excited that Kyle runs the PTC program at OR. Our sons enjoy the workouts geared to their sport depending on the season, (even when it’s early at 7 am) and the individual modifications for injuries or specialties in their events. As my youngest son is a Freshman, he looks forward to several more years of Coach Kyle’s guidance in the weight room and out at the track!

This place has saved my life! I started my membership in April 2023, started at 225 pounds and I’m down 75 pounds! I have 19 month year-old son and put on a lot of weight, and my blood pressure for the first time. My life was not good. I had a horrible reaction to the blood pressure medication made me gain a lot of weight. I pulled myself off the medication, finally hit Rock Bottom went to Vince Mini, and we worked together to get my health and check! Since his passing, I’ve worked with a few different coaches and they have been amazing and supportive! I still go and consider my 4 AM crew my second family!

I cannot say enough good things about Mini's. I have been working out there for five years. The coaches and members have become my family. It is not just a gym for young people. It is a place to learn how to keep your body healthy throughout your lifespan. They meet you where you are and help you become the healthiest you can be.

As a marriage and family therapist I love Mini's youth program. On the surface it is about helping kids learn about strength and performance but it truly is about helping kids learn to believe in themselves, do difficult things, and reach their potential.

“Mini’s House of Pain is hands down the best gym in El Dorado Hills!”

It’s a welcoming place with a great mix of weight training and cardio options, making it perfect for anyone looking to improve their fitness. Since joining, I’ve experienced both weight loss and muscle gain, and I’m having a great time doing it. From day one, I felt like part of the family. The positive atmosphere and supportive members make coming in each day something to look forward to.

As I’m closing in on 50, I’m in some of the best shape of my life. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care. They tailor workouts to fit your goals and help you work through any injuries. Plus, they are deeply involved in the community, offering great kids’ classes and running the weight training program at Oak Ridge High School. Mini’s isn’t just a gym; it’s a family. Highly recommend to anyone looking to join a positive, results-driven fitness community. Love it!

I consider myself incredibly lucky to have stumbled into this place just about 18 months ago. I had been working out at home for about 6 months and was really starting to lose motivation, at the same time I'd been driving by this place for 2 years and always laughed when I saw the name.

"Who the heck would name a gym House of Pain? Are they *trying* to keep people away?"

My wife finally suggested I try it out and for some reason I chose to listen to her (for once). I went in from my free classes and was immediately hooked. I loved the small class atmosphere, I loved the energy that came from being surrounded by other people that had similar goals, and the coaches were amazing. I distinctly remember the end of my first workout; I was sipping some water and trying my hardest to not throw up when Vince (the founder) came up and asked what I thought of the workout. We chatted for a couple of minutes and he asked me if I suffered from lower back pain (I did). He said he could tell immediately by the way that I walked that I was suffering and that they would fix it.

I signed up and made it a 4x week commitment, it was the most committed I've ever been to a fitness journey. But it wasn't until Vince passed that I really understood what I had become a part of. Watching the community grieve, celebrate, and support each other was truly amazing, and that was just the beginning. Since VInce's passing I've seen nothing but strength and determination from the entire Mini's community.

It's important to understand that when you sign up you aren't just joining a gym, you're joining a family. If you miss classes the coaches will follow up with you and make sure everything is okay, if you need help with pretty much anything this community will be there for you, if you're struggling you'll have more support than you know what to do with.

18 months in to my time with Mini's and I can't imagine myself not being a part of it. It truly has changed me for the better.

(I realize now I didn't actually focus on the fitness aspect, given that's a gym I should probably at least mention something about it. In the last 18 months I have grown stronger than I've ever been and have done things I never thought I could do. The programs that Craig and the other coaches put together focus on the basic moves while providing diversity in the accessory moves to keep it from getting boring. Every 6 weeks we're doing something new yet familiar. I also *really* appreciate the focus on form and safety, something that is missing from other functional strength training organizations.)

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about MHOP! I am so grateful for my fitness journey with all of the coaches and nutrition education. I went from gym intimidation, feeling so lost with strength training and understanding weight bearing exercises to feeling confident and understanding how important these exercises are. In 2019 I was searching for a new home gym. Vince Mini called me personally to welcome me, saying I was going to love it. He couldn’t have understated it more. I belong here. The trainers have become confidants, and truly have our best interest in mind as they guide us through our daily workouts. They ALWAYS make extra effort to modify when we need it, “Oh, your shoulder is acting up? Don’t do that, try this movement instead.” Better still, they push us when they know what we are capable of achieving. Saying I love it here, would be an understatement.

I had been a patient of KIME PT for years which is located in the same building as Mini’s. Vince approached me numerous times when I was being treated by KIME to join the gym. At the time I belonged to Orange Theory and Rollingwood. I was training for a marathon and couldn’t fit another gym membership in my schedule. Vince wore me down and I decided to give MHOP a try. Needless to say I have been a member now about 5 years and have never looked back. The coaching you get at Mini’s is like none other. They encourage you to do more lift more than you ever expected you could. I have decreased my time running the marathons since being a member. My body has never been stronger and/or look stronger I am 67 and have never felt better. So if you are on the fence because it seems expensive. Take the leap! This is the perfect gym for me. I needed a gym with professional and experienced coaching. My experience and background in collegiate football and baseball had me exposed to top level weight coaches. I would put these coaches and programming right up there in the Division 1 category.
The classes are an hour long and no distractions. The days of, “what am I going to do today at the gym, or having to modify my workout because all the equipment is taken, are over when you are a member at Mini’s. The programming is extremely professional covering cardio, mobility, and weights with constructive feedback throughout the entire workout. And there are multiple class times beginning at 4am, offered every 30 minutes until 7:30pm most of the week.

I've been going to Mini's House of Pain for over two years. I would have stopped a long time ago if it wasn't for the coaches. They are not your typical gym coaches… no, these coaches are professional teachers, trainers, mentors, and friends. My body is very atypical, but that hasn't throw them off. They create customized work-outs for me that incorporate physcial therapy, mobility, and strength training. I am have seen improvements that I know I couldn't have achieved on my own. Mini’s House of Pain in El Dorado Hills has completely changed my approach to fitness! From the first time I stepped through the doors, I knew this gym was something special. The energy here is contagious, and the workouts are designed to push you without being overwhelming. I love that the routines are already laid out, which takes the guesswork out of what to do—and they hit every muscle group while keeping things fresh.

The trainers at Mini’s are amazing. They’re not just knowledgeable, but they genuinely care about your progress. Anytime I’ve needed advice or a push to go harder, they’ve been right there. It’s a tough but incredibly supportive environment that’s helped me stay consistent and reach my fitness goals faster than I ever thought possible.

Since joining Mini’s, I’ve noticed a real difference not just in my strength and endurance, but in my overall health and wellness. I feel more energized, my focus has improved, and I’m in the best shape I’ve been in for years. It’s not just about the workouts—it’s about living healthier and feeling better in every aspect of life.

Simply the best gym our family has been a member at. We love the coaches, programming and community they’ve built. Our 9 year old has even joined and enjoys the athlete trainings on Saturday.

Coach Gabe did a great job with conditioning training for our LTG 14U Carda/Pettis softball team. It was a very eye opening experience for our players! Highly recommended for all softball athletes!

Would give 10 stars if I could. My son started going here about a month ago, 3 days a week, and is loving his "Young Athlete Training session". The trainers here are First Class and I love that the are associated with Oak Ridge Athletics. Just my humble opinion and 2 cents worth. 🙂👍

I have attended Mini's for about 6 months now and have seen tremendous transformation already. They have a workout plan in place and trainers on the floor making sure you are moving and lifting correctly. The overall body workout has improved my flexibility and strength while increasing my energy level. I recommend Mini's to all of my friends and family. They care about each person and make sure you are getting the most out of each workout. 5 stars from me!!!

Let me first say that I am a gym owner in the Bay Area but live in El Dorado hills and have been to many other facilities for recon and also for my own well-being.

I needed a gym for the days of the week that I am home and found MHOP. This is a unique and quality facility that really does meet the needs of anyone who walks through the door.

They have great programming which focuses on not only getting stronger and loosing weight but moving and feeling better through the emphasis on mobility training. The class sizes are typically around 6 people which allows for a significant amount of individual attention compared to any other class I have experienced.

The owner Vince and his team are passionate about what they do and it shows in every class.

I love this place! Been going for almost a year now. Great people & facility. Workouts are designed to be customized depending on ability and coaches guide members through workouts and/or modifications. Coaches are absolutely fantastic! I've been a member to various gyms for almost 20 years and have had the best results from Mini's...others aren't even close!

Coaches and attitude are magic at Mini’s House of Pain. I have visited weekly more than four months for physical therapy with KIME Performance that uses this gym and have watched children and adults training at Mini’s.

The time I have spent at Mini’s has helped my body heal and recover from 36 years of neglect stressing at desks. No words can explain how much better my body feels today than when I first visited Mini’s with a new shoulder joint early in April.
