This studio offers a variety of workouts catering to all fitness levels. During Covid times the studio has offered online virtual classes. If you have a reformer at home or want a pilate mat class. you can get an amazing group or private session using your phone or computer.

The instructors can still cue you and see you. They know if your shoulders are shrugged or if your not in correct positioning. I’ve been lucky enough to have had mat, reformer and private classes virtually and have had an amazing workout. And in those days where your body is sore from lack of movement; take a quick class and you’re guaranteed to feel better.

And for those who think a better workout is on the reformer...you will be humbled once you take a mat class. I don’t know what I would do without these ladies during these times especially.

Last November I developed painful tendinitis in my shoulder. For several months I tried everything from physical therapy to CBD oil without any success. It was to the point where my doctor was recommending a cortisone shot. Luckily I talked to Misha before going down this path. In just a few minutes she was able to understand my problem and explain what was going on with my shoulder (using a rubber band in a very effective demonstration). After her evaluation, she gave me two simple exercises to try and said that after about two weeks I should recover. Sure enough, the exercises worked great! My shoulder is now pain-free thanks to Misha! In addition to being very sweet and a great Pilates instructor, she is extremely knowledgeable about body mechanics and injury rehabilitation and I highly recommend her!

My 16 year old daughter sustained a severe foot injury in June of 2019 and experienced a number of side effects that limited her ability to run track and cross country for her high school. Because of her time away from sports and working out, the road to recovery was fraught with shin splints, back pain, and other nagging injuries that we could not fix alone.
A family friend of ours recommended Misha and it was the best decision made for my daughter’s health. She was quick to respond, illustrating the steps we needed to take in clear detail, holding a spot open for an appointment before we’d even signed up.
Misha’s technique is something to behold; her ability to navigate my daughter’s injuries and treat her in a way that connected mind and body is phenomenal. She is professional, willing to help, and an all-around class act.

I’ve been dealing with severe (at times debilitating) sciatica due to bulging discs for almost a year now, and am so happy to share that pilates with Misha has played a MAJOR role in getting me back into shape! As a busy mom, I’ve only been able to attend one small group session a week, but I’ve seen and felt results nonetheless! Be prepared to get worked by Misha in the best way possible—I especially appreciate that she’s familiar with everyone’s injuries/issues and is ready to modify each exercise for you as needed. I’ve done pretty much everything there is to help me manage my pain (chiro, pt, acupuncture, meds), and I have to say that nothing makes me feel better than my pilates sessions. I look forward to getting better and stronger. Thank you, Misha!

I love going to this studio! It is not only well kept and an inviting place, the instructors are some of the best! Always changing up routines and ensuring that there are modifications for all clients, you will find an appropriate workout for you!
From rehab, to general wellness or establishing a goal, this is a special place where you will have a high level of confidence that the team will work with you to get what you need.

My happy place in the Bay!
I've been going to MPS for almost two years now. I've never been a very sportive person but at MPS I found professional instructors who know how to improve one's skills safely and surely and that's how Pilates reformer has become the very first fitness I stuck to.
The environment is amazing, MPS is a place to sweat and laugh with truly caring people.
I do recommend as well the massage therapist who's helping me with a fractured leg after a car accident, with noticeable improvement with every single session.

I have been going to MPS for about 2.5 years now and there are not enough incredible things I can say. When I first came to Misha's studio, I had only taken 1 previous Pilates class in my life. I was a little nervous to just jump in but Misha made me feel super comfortable. I started in a Small Group Pilates class and it was perfect.

- Everyone gets amazing individual attention. Whether it's your 1st class ever or 10th year in Pilates, Misha pays attention to you, makes suggestions, corrects form, etc. for everyone.
- Misha is super motivational, super positive, super knowledgable, and super friendly (I would capitalize every "super", but I don't want to be too annoying ;)).
- She really knows how to kindly kick your butt in every work out (if you're confused by "kindly kick your butt", then try taking a few classes and you'll see what I mean. I walk out really sore but really happy every week).
- The studio is extremely clean.
- The clientele at MPS is just as awesome & friendly as Misha & the other instructors.
- The sunsets from the studio are extra incredible (just check out the studio's Instagram for proof!).
- Misha is amazing at working with clients' injuries, regardless, for example, if you have ongoing knee problems or just had a long day a work can really feel it in your shoulders (like me sometimes).
- Misha is very accommodating and flexible if you need to rearrange your class(es) due to your crazy schedule.
- Misha is fabulous at describing each exercise and what muscle(s) are being worked and how they are being worked. She tells the class in such a way that even I can understand (which is really saying something - I have no knowledge of that kind of stuff!)

It's amazing how different and how much stronger & leaner my body feels with each year.

I HIGHLY recommend checking out any of the classes at Misha's studio - you will not be disappointed.

I was sad to stop going to Time4Pilates with Yumiko in Millbrae, who is absolutely wonderful. I wanted to continue learning reformer Pilates and came across Misha's studio in San Jose on Yelp.
I've been coming to Misha, Roz and Marcela's Saturday classes and they're a godsend! The Small Group Equipment class has a positive vibe and is a great way to start off the weekend. I love that my classmates and I are working hard, challenging ourselves, and having fun.

5 stars all around for MPS! Misha is an amazing pilates instructor. She knows exactly what your body can handle and makes each workout challenging but also really fun! There’s a different theme for the workouts each week so it never gets boring or repetitive. The studio is beautiful with a great view of downtown San Jose and there’s convenient street parking all around. Very highly recommended!

My daughter and I started going to this studio about two months ago. Not only is the studio one of the classiest places for the perfect workout, Misha is an amazing, motivational and incredibly experienced instructor. So far we have worked with Misha, Roz and Marcella and it's pretty hard to choose between the cheerleader, the drill seargant and the silent killer but Jax is really our favorite. I could not more highly recommend a totally addicting way to spend 50 minutes of your time. Be careful folks, that Monday and Friday spot is permanently taken!

This is extremely overdue review, Misha deserves credit where credit is due ! Over a year ago I was having zero success with fitness - tried bootcamps, group classes at the gym , Dailey method, nothing stuck- never got what I wanted, never understood what I was doing. Then I found Misha. I'm here one year later, with a better posture, better endurance, working out a lot more than all those classes combined and much much stronger!
1. Studio is gorgeous. The views, the cleanliness, the decor- it feels like you are walking into a spa at a resort !
2. ALWAYS starts and ends on time. I love that . Never any delays, they always make sure the workout kicks your ass in the 1 throughly
3. Very accommodating about changing schedules. Misha always replies to emails within an hour and works with you to make sure you don't lose a workout due to anything.
4. Instructors - Misha is AMAZING. I have no other word which puts together this instructor, who is constantly on her feet, always giving you a 100% attention in a group setting, explains each muscle movement - how you should do it, how it should feel, and what should feel worked out & MAKES sure you are doing that exact movement/ muscle contraction that is needed ( this itself pretty much differentiates her from other personal trainers, they explain the exercise , and watch you do it. Never correct you if you are wrong, or teach you how to modify it). I never knew how to isolate upper abs, lower abs, front deltoid, back muscles before doing Pilates with her.
5. She knows every single client personally. In every class. She connects with you, and she knows where you are in your fitness, and immediately will give your weights that give you excellent workouts. She knows how to modify your small exercise into a highly intense one just for you. You may be doing something different than the person next to you, but that's the beauty of the class- it's no race, you learn how to get the best out of the class by doing what she thinks suits your movements best.
6. Roz and Marcella- had a few classes with them- excellent on their own too. Very cheerful, very involved, always checking your movements, always making sure you are doing it right and not day dreaming. They have trained under Misha too, and are absolutely fun classes to go to.
7. The price - it feels expensive after bootcamps and gyms , but it's actually not , for a Pilates class. It's a Pilates class and a personal training session rolled into one, and even though I have been going only once a week, I can feel the change.
8. Monthly challenge- to be honest I did it only for a few months, but I love the idea ! It's not too hard really , and she motivates you so much, I just forget about doing the challenge as soon as I leave her studio. It's a lot of fun and keeps you engaged and worked out for the whole month on days you don't have classes.
9. Retreats - she arranges them once in a while to work out in different locations. Beaches are usually the theme , and why not! It looks so peaceful and the perfect place to relax after a tough workout with Misha.
9. Results after a year - Me and my husband's posture has gotten so much better, she helped us stretch out our muscles slowly to make us stand and sit so much straighter. My upper body muscles have gotten stronger, though I do have a ways to go. Lower limbs- much stronger. I can walk longer distances, even started running , can stretch inches more. The breathing routine along with concentrating on exercises becomes a way of life, not just in class. I unconsciously am always contracting ab muscles or gluts etc while driving or running or even climbing steps- I realized after a while and it makes a huge difference to your daily routine.

I highly highly recommend her studio and classes. You won't know what hit you. Don't expect overnight results. Be patient and you will be able to quantify results within a few months for sure !

I'm so excited to recommend Misha Patel and Misha Patel Studio!

After three years of Pilates at another local studio, I felt I needed to make a change. By chance, I saw a story featuring Misha and the studio. The difference was night and day and I saw a change in my body in less than two weeks. A change that my trainer pointed out.

Misha notices everything and will make the slightest correction to form, which will be felt instantaneously. She's as warm and encouraging as she is knowledgeable and the studio is beautiful. I've taken both private sessions and group classes. If you want a real challenge take the TRX yoga!

I noticed that one of my coworkers had slimmed down and got toned very quickly. I asked her what she was doing and she told me Pilates at Misha Patel Studio. I had never used a reformer for pilates and I went to my first class w/ her. It was difficult but Misha is an amazing teacher and makes you feel very comfortable and not intimidated. I left the class feeling very relaxed, but the next day every muscle in my body was hurting. It felt great. It is the best workout ever. I feel my body changing very quickly, specially my fat tummy. The studio is beautiful, offers massages, many types of classes such as TRX, yoga, abs, ... parking is easy. The routines are never the same and you don't get bored. I am addicted to this place and I highly recommend to anyone.

The minute I walk thru the doors I feel very welcomed by Misha's great personality and good energy and I love this about her.

I have been going to MPS for almost a year, and I can totally see my body's transformation. The trainers, Misha and Roz are very knowledgeable and caring, and during each class they offer individual attention to all their students. They make sure they understand your body condition and adjust the workout to meet your needs. So I never had to worry about workout injuries, which I had experienced at other places where you just join the class, do the workout, and no one cares.
The studio also offers varieties of workouts, and I have tried metabolic training, Pilates, TRX, and suspension Yoga...and I absolutely love the outcome of all these classes! I totally recommend anyone who are looking for a workout studio to try out MPS!

MPS has been extremely rewarding personally when it comes to improving the quality of life from many angles--MPS balances the work out routines from TRX to Pilates to Metabolic/Ab training to Yoga...as a total fitness solution and the deep tissue massage is a perfect complement to the workouts (highly recommend it).
Misha does an excellent job picking best in class trainers all done in a wonderful and fun atmosphere.
MPS packages are our favorite to gift our friends (to enjoy health and happiness)
