I have been attending this fit camp for 7 years and I can't say enough good things about it. In my 40s, it helped me attain a level of health and feeling of wellbeing that I had never experienced before in my whole life.
Mission: Fit literally turned me into a physically active person, and it was been great preparation for my 800 mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail.
Classes are challenging but taught in a way that people with many different skills and levels of fitness can participate together by making each exercise harder or easier, as needed for the individual.
My fellow students are fun, and the instructors are friendly and kind and give great feedback.
What more can I say?

Vanessa was an excellent instructor. She had creative and challenging exercises for the group while maintaining the ability to modify for different skill level amongst the participants. It was fun to work out in a group outside as opposed to indoors.

After our youngest started school, I was exhausted, depressed, and, frankly, a bit lost at sea. I needed a change. A friend challenged me to try “Mission: Fit” for a month. I was hesitant (I’m typically not a joiner), but I agreed to give it a shot (I figured I wouldn’t even last the whole month). So I tried the program and quit after the first day.
Just kidding. That was three years ago, and since those early, tentative days, I’ve transformed into the world’s most outsized Mission: Fit enthusiast! Joining this extraordinary group has improved my general sense of well-being more than anything I’ve ever done. Ever. For real.
Everybody knows the benefit of daily exercise so I won’t belabor the point. Rest assured, the workouts are varied, challenging, customizable, and designed by the ace staff with an emphasis on form and balance. The terrific trainers emphasize personalized help and instruction and really work with each client to ensure that the program meets their needs and abilities.
But to be honest, it’s not the fitness program per se that keeps me coming back. It’s the people. The owners, Christy Merriken and Jessica Dolliver, are two of the sweetest, most enthusiastic people in the world, and they’ve created a business to match. I swear, at their best, these classes feel like recess, or (even better), like meeting your neighborhood friends to play in the park!
To say that joining Mission: Fit changed my life is hopelessly corny, but, frankly, it’s also indisputably true. I am eternally grateful to Jessica, Christy, and the whole Mission: Fit staff for the incalculable difference they’ve made in my little life. Thanks, guys.
It turns out all I really needed was a chance to run around outside every day with my buds!

Mission: Fit has a great program that is designed for all fitness levels with very knowledgeable/experienced trainers. Workouts start with dynamic movements to warm up the joints and prevent injury. Different days of the week are dedicated to either conditioning (primarily cardio and interval training), strength (heavy weights and power moves), or function and flexibility (lighter weights focusing on range of motion and perfecting form). Options to work out indoors at the studio or outdoors in the park. Lots of opportunities to modify workouts to either increase or decrease intensity depending on your individual skill level. Friendly vibe from trainers and fellow class members.

It took me far too long to join Mission Fit. I saw them at Pioneer Park for years before I took my first class, and that's my only regret - not joining sooner. It's not an overstatement to say that Mission Fit changed my life. I feel healthier and stronger than I ever have in my life and I was a distance runner for years. Their workouts are challenging, the trainers are awesome, and the community is welcoming and supportive. Join Mission Fit!

My wife has been with Mission FIT for over two years and she was always trying to talk me into to going. I was suffering from a long term injury and kept saying "I'll go when this thing heals." After seeing chiropractors and physical therapists, it never really quite got better. Finally I decided that NOT doing exercise wasn't helping me get better, so I might as well try going to Mission FIT and see if it helps. I have been at it for four months now and the injury is feeling so much better. Regular strength, cardio, and core training has been key. I feel better, have less stress, and look forward to the workouts. The trainers at Mission FIT are such wonderful people and care about their client's wellbeing, limitations, and health. The people who attend Mission FIT come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels; all are so nice and make working out in a group more fun. Whether it be in the studio or the park, the Mission FIT staff cater to each individual and their personal fitness level. Of all the gyms/ workout groups I've experienced over the years, Mission FIT sits on top as my favorite.

Mission FIT is awesome. I consider myself somewhat athletic and I like to be challenged. At this gym, I am definitely challenged. I feel a sense of accomplishment after each class I attend. I also like how the boot camp workouts are different each time, which invigorates my muscles even more. Everyone can go their own pace based on their skill level. The instructor is very supportive, informative, and a great motivator. Highly recommended.

This place is great!!! Not only are the trainers amazing at their craft, but it has a real family feel to it. The instructors are constantly changing the workouts to keep everyone's body guessing and are there to make sure your form is correct to avoid injury. I have referred several people to Mission Fit and I will continue to do so.

Aside from having absolutely no core strength and a healthy distaste for running, I found the the Pioneer Park studio classes to be challenging, at times grueling, but always up beat. The instructors are supportative yet challenging when needed. Given my lack of a core, they proposed alternate movements which still worked the muscle group in a less stressful manner. When I'm not traveling, i try to attend their morning park workouts. A great way to start your day... a feel alive albeit sore.

My experience at the camp has honestly been awesome. The people are great, and I keep coming back to work out because I have a good time (which honestly has been the hardest thing to do for the past few years). Every month Gwen changes up the routines and keeps things interesting. Overall, I haven't felt this good in years and have Mission Fit Camp to thank! Highly recommended for those who want to work out and meet some great people at the same time.

This review is long overdue, but a well-deserved 5 star! I've been working out at Mission Fit Camp with Gwen (trainer and owner) for two years now, and I can honestly say that it has had a HUGE impact on my life by helping me get to a healthy weight and have a healthy and active lifestyle. I started Fit Camp in a tough place: at age 31 and 5'7", I was tipping the scales at over 200# and had been overweight for most of my adult life. After 8 months of Fit Camp, help from Gwen, and some pretty huge lifestyle adjustments, I was down 55# and in the best shape of my life.
I tried out Fit Camp on a recommendation of friend after saying that I needed a change. I started out a little intimidated since I could barely run a lap, but Gwen quickly put me at ease. She has a lot of energy and passion for what she does and takes the time to talk to you about your personal goals. She truly cares about her clients and has sat down with me on many occasions to talk about my goals, help me set up plans for weight loss, and worked with me to ensure I stayed active through injuries. Her commitment is healthy is genuine and she takes a balanced approach to diet and exercise to help you make smart decisions and achieve your goals.
Aside from Gwen's attitude and expertise, there are a few unique things about Fit Camp that keep me coming back: the workouts, the schedule, and the people. Gwen makes exercise and fitness accessible to all levels by giving options for exercises, beginner to advanced, to makes sure everyone is challenged. This helped me ease into the exercises and gave something to strive for as I progressed each week in the 4 week program. She also helps work around injuries and comes up with equally challenging exercises to keep you moving throughout the class. Additionally, Gwen consistently changes the exercises and format so you never get bored and get to learn new moves and patterns. I've noticed that even as my fitness level has progressed over the past few years, I am still challenged during every workout and walk away feeling like I got my money's worth from the class.
The schedule is another part of the equation. I work and travel a lot, which I always used as my big excuse for not working out. Fit Camp runs the same work out 5 times per day during the week. You are not locked in to any time slot, so it makes it easy to fit in before or after work depending on my schedule. It's enough flexibility to allow me to manage my schedule, but has enough rigidity to ensure that I get to the workouts!
Last, but not least, the fellow Fit Campers at the workouts are awesome! It's a fun group of people, who are encouraging and make working out in a group something to look forward to rather than dread. There is a large group of 'regulars' who have been coming to Fit Camp for years, which is a testament to Gwen and the program, that keep the sessions entertaining and helped put me at ease when I first started.
After my first year at Fit Camp, I lost 55#s, ran my first half marathon, hiked a couple mountains, and jumped into adventures that I never thought I would be able to do because of my health. With Gwen's continued help, I keep pushing myself to try new things, and take on bigger challenges.
Long story short, if you're looking to try something new and make a change, or looking to push yourself in a different way in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, give Mission Fit Camp a try - you won't regret it!

I love fit camp! For one thing it takes place outside, which I LOVE! You do something new everyday so you never get bored or fall in a rut. You can feel and see yourself getting stronger and faster every week as things get tougher. And Gwen is fantastic, without her I would be lost. There is no way I would be able to do this on my own. She helps you with your form so you don't hurt yourself and you get the most out the workout, she can help adjust a workout if you have an injury and she is just unbelievably motivating. You can tell she wants you to succeed. This goes for Blake as well, his convention center work outs leave you feeling exhausted but oh so accomplished.
Everyone in the class is very friendly and personable which is very nice, there is someone in every level of fitness which gives it a very welcoming feel. There are variable times during the week so you can find something that fits your schedule.
I am totally addicted, I feel guilty missing a class because I feel like I am cheating myself. I love how I am feeling about myself as I notice even small changes.
Thank you Mission Fit Camp!!

I dread anything that resembles boot camp, but Gwen seems to allow you to push yourself. She only yells out encouragements, while making every muscle fiber in your body burn. She knows her stuff and keeps you pushing yourself. I would recommend it to all my friends and family and anyone ready to tackle a healthy outdoor work out routine.

Gwen is a fantastic trainer who pushes you while making working out fun. I never enjoyed working out until I joined Mission Fit Camp. The results were fantastic - I felt stronger and had better core strength than I've had in the past from other workouts. She changes things up, so no two workouts are the same. Do yourself a favor and try Mission Fit Camp!
