If you’re looking for a San Diego personal trainer who actually listens and tailors workouts to your goals—Moises at ML Strength and Conditioning is it.

I came to Moises after hitting my 40s and noticing my energy dipping, fat creeping in, and strength going downhill. I train with him at his gym on Miramar Road near the Pyramid, and every workout is smart, challenging, and exactly what I need. He focuses on full-body, fundamental weight training, and it works.

Moises pushes just enough to keep me progressing, without making me dread the gym. He works with all fitness levels—from beginners to older adults to serious lifters—and he’s genuinely one of the nicest guys you’ll meet.

Can’t recommend him enough if you’re in San Diego and need personal training that’s effective, supportive, and sustainable.

I can’t say enough great things about Moises! From day one, he’s been incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and patient. He takes the time to understand your goals and designs a personalized program that challenges you while emphasizing proper form and long-term progress.

Moises is an excellent trainer! He's knowledgeable enough to adapt exercises to fit your ability and adjust his training plan to help you strengthen any weaknesses. He personally helped me work through an injured shoulder, which was a huge benefit.

Moises is such an excellent coach! He is very flexible and works with your schedule, and he pushes you to do your best at every training session. I am a 73-year-old grandma. I think it was about two years ago when I started weightlifting training with Moises. At first, I didn’t really know what weightlifting was or how it would affect my body. I’m a 79 year old male and was by my doctor to do some strength training to improve my mobility and he the recommended Moses Lopez, a physical trainer. After several sessions with Moses I physical stamina improve and my mobility as well. Moises is the most knowledgeable trainer. His method is very unique and you get results. My deadlift went from 150lbs to 210lbs so easily. And he corrected my form and bad lifting habits. He is patient, kind, and plays the best music. I highly recommend for all levels and ages!

Moises is a great trainer!
He provides both training and diet knowledge for me to achieve my goal: gaining strength and get buff.

I've been training with Moises for a year. He customize my training sets that fits my physical status and provides efficient training.

The most amazing part of Moises's training is that I get very effective training without being exhausted the next day.
I squatted 50 lbs, and now squat 185lbs. I rack pulled 70 lbs, and now deadlift 210 lbs.
This gain is amazing and I never feel exhausted the next day, and this is also because of Moises's diet advices.

Moises gives great diet suggestions based on my own meals, ensuring that I get enough energy to train and enough nutrition to gain muscles.
He also always gives good reminders on trainings about the posture and adaptive advices based on your feedbacks.

Moises is awesome. I’ve been working with him for over two years now, first for prehab before my hip scope, and now to get back into shape post op. He is highly observant and gives both excellent immediate feedback and support so you continuously get stronger without any risk of hurting yourself. I have several range of motion limitations and he’s always found a way to accommodate them without sacrificing a solid workout. Moises has taught me so much in correcting my form and technique. I’ve been going to Moises for over a year now and he really is the best. I had basically no experience doing heavy lifting before I started and now I’m addicted. He’s very knowledgeable about techniques and makes sure to prioritize good form, which is great because obviously you could hurt yourself if you’re not doing it right. He’s also great about not pushing through injury; if I tweak something, he makes sure I’m okay and suggests alternatives to avoid hurting myself more. My experience from the beginning of working with Moises has been nothing but quality. I really appreciate the one on one training and the personalized programs Moises sets up for you. It doesnt feel generic at all. Even better Ive seen good results that have been realistically attained. Nothing like get skinny quick programs or juice cleanses. If you follow his advice and his programs based on his extensive knowledge and guidance you will succeed. Weight loss does not come easy and thats ok because as long as you have someone like him who clearly knows what hes doing, you can achieve that.

Bonus in all this? Hes the owner AND your trainer. Youre not going to be passed down like you are in other gyms. Its always him so hes up to date on all your progress and isnt lost. He knows exactly who you are, what you need and how youre doing.

Personal training with Moises was a fantastic experience. I've worked with a few different personal trainers before and he is by far the best. Moises pays close attention to you technique and corrects your form if needed, which is so critical when lifting weights. Do yourself a favor and join this gym immediately! Not only is the owner (Moises) a genuinely GOOD person -- his expertise is far and away the best in the industry. I came to ML Strength & Conditioning with 3 bulging discs as my last resort before getting back surgery.
