About the Club

MOMLETA Oakland is more than a safe and effective workout program - we are a supportive community of moms. Classes are appropriate for all fitness levels and we give lots of modifications for our pregnant and newly postpartum mamas, while also being a group for moms of all ages and stages. Fantastic full body exercise class! Something new, fun and different every time. Lake Temescal is a beautiful setting with tons of easy parking. You can bring your kid or not. Mary is encouraging and so great. Highly recommend!

I have been taking classes with Mary at Momleta for 17 years! My kids are big now, but I still go when my schedule allows and it is by far the best workout class I have ever taken. Mary helped me regain my strength and confidence after all three of my pregnancies. She provides modifications for all levels and is especially helpful in guiding you through which exercises to do and avoid postpartum. The added benefit is the community you are joining! Everyone gets it if you have a crying baby or need to stop and nurse. Mary also puts on fun events like Moms’ Night Out and Salad in a Jar. I highly recommend Momleta!

Mary is the best! Class is very accessible for all levels and a lot of fun. There are usually a few moms who bring babies/toddlers, but there are lots of moms without their kids too.

After attending Momleta for about 9 months now, I can’t recommend it highly enough. There’s something magical in the combination of Momleta programming, being outside, and the community, that makes classes outstanding. I’ve become so much stronger and feel great whenever I take a class. I’ve really enjoyed connecting with other women in the class too. It is the best thing I’ve done during maternity leave and I plan to keep attending. Thank you, Momleta!

I love Momleta! Working out with friendly people, in a beautiful setting, with my baby - it’s an hour of exercise that ticks many boxes. The time goes by so quickly. Mary is very knowledgeable and supportive, especially about all things postpartum. She also somehow manages to remember everyone’s name and is so welcoming!

Highly recommend this for moms with kids of any age! There's always a mix of moms who bring their babies/toddlers and moms who are there solo (all are welcome!) I started going to Momleta Oakland classes when my daughter was around 9 months old, but wish I could have gone sooner. It's such a great way to get outside, move your body, and meet other moms in the area. It's a really encouraging environment, Mary gives plenty of options for any fitness level, and no two workouts are ever the same. If you're on the fence, go!!! You won't regret it.

L-O-V-I-N-G being a part of this community! I've always been a yoga person (not a weightlifter or group cardio person) but thoroughly enjoy working out alongside moms (of all stages and phases) outside by the lake, in nature. Mary is a stellar instructor always providing examples, modifications, laughs and great hip hop tunes. Becoming a part of this group instantly brought me joy, lots of learning, strength, and patience in my post-partum mom bod. Couldn't recommend more!

Boot Camp has been one of the (non-baby) highlights of my maternity leave! I only wish I'd have started coming sooner :-)
If you're like me and HATE running, you should know that there's always running every class, but Mary does a fantastic job of making sure everyone gets in their best workout. She also does a great job of helping out with cranky babies!
