We have had a very bad experience with Mona Khans long term instructor Prapti - she was not encouraging and made our girls entire experience very stressful. As soon as my girls had Prapti as an instructor we immediately saw the shift in our girls enjoying dancing - it was way too stressful for them.

Attended the June 16, 2019 performance. Dance performance were good but do become tiresome after 30 mins especially when the complete program is 3 hr long.

The most disappointing part was the management cause the individual performing was given only 1 ticket (for themselves) and every additional ticket costs $50. On top of that the individual performing had to give $20 for accessories (caps, earring, etc) and getting digital photos of the show is $7 and printed copy is $8-$20. All the details are revealed only towards the end of dance lessons. This seems like a lot of hidden costs especially when you are already paying $250 for 9 dance lessons.

So, I'm writing a review for Mona Khan Company (MKC)!!!! Seriously??? Does MKC need any reviews at all???? Doesn't the entire Bay Area already know about this great & super talented institution???? And how blessed are those, who are a part of it!!!!!

A company that started as a dream, and has now transformed the lives of soooooo many individuals, and in so many positive ways.

The instructors - immensely dedicated, and who always work SO hard to bring out the best in their students. Extremely professional, energetic, friendly and disciplined.

The Showcase - leaves you with nothing short of feeling like a superstar. You feel as though Bollywood has come alive right before your eyes!!! The stage, the lights, the technical aspects, the costumes, the effects - its beyond amazing!!!

The Team - fun, friendly, professional. The tech rehearsals and the final showcase is extremely well organized, with volunteers giving out clear cut instructions. The show always starts and ends promptly, and proper order is maintained.

All in all - if you're looking to showcase your hidden dancing talent, improve your form and skills, get fit, active and healthy, meet like minded people, or just looking to have a lot of fun with music & movement...... then Mona Khan Company is your one stop shop for everything!!!!

MonaKhanCompany, as we fondly call “MKC” is one amazing Bollywood Dance school in the Bay Area. Each of their classes impart so much into them - be it with Choreography, Style, Technique or even their wonderful selection of Songs! I have worked with, taken and continuing to take classes under almost all the Lead instructors and they are class apart. You get to perform and also witness their mind-blowing Company Acts in their biannual showcases.

Apart from quarter-long classes, they also periodically conduct one day Workshops imparting different styles like HipHop, Jazz, Contemporary, “Fully-Filmy”, Kathak, Garba, Heels, Mumbai Street Style and what not?! Mona Khan, the founder, is such an inspiration; she is present to watch, cheer, encourage and record most of the workshops and major events. All the instructors are top class, down-to-earth and have their own idiosyncratic styles. Their BombayJam program is a super-hit as well. Keep rocking MKC!

Extremely bad experience. Especially performance quarters are a rip off. I can probably meet the president with less process and confusion than atttend their show. They charge $200 for the performance + $20 a piece tickets and in efficient use of time. There ungodly number of rules.
Before joining uraelf or ur kids, think 100 times.

MKC has been the best thing to have happened in my 13 year old daughter's dance journey. She joined the company as a Bacha Emerging Performer six years ago and is well trained in all styles encompassing Bollywood today. Really appreciate the prestigious opportunities presented to her which have included the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, pre show at the Golden State Warriors and recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silicon Valley reception at SAP Center.

As an EP she has worked closely with Mona, Ishika, Shobana, Amit and other company and guest choreographers . They have always encouraged her to push her boundaries as a dancer. My daughter and I really love the fact that everyone here is made to feel special and an important part of the company.

Highly recommended if you or your child are planning on taking a Bollywood class. Their classes are very structured and they place the student according to their skill level. America's got Bollywood twice a year is a visual treat. All the students look forward to this performance opportunity in front of such a big audience. As we all know performing on stage is an important part of the learning process and each student here gets a great platform to showcase their talent. The fact that these shows are extremely well organized make it so much easier for the parents.

It's the best place for your child to learn to dance different styles including Jazz, Hip-Hop, Bollywood, contemporary, folk, semi classical etc. Their Emerging Performer (EP) programs not only teaches dance but also focus, perfection, leadership, communication and organizational skills.
I'm very happy with the progress my daughter has shown while dancing with MKC
