La visita alla Muscle Beach Outdoor Gym di Venice Beach è stata un’esperienza unica, soprattutto per chi ama il bodybuilding. L’atmosfera è iconica: allenarsi all’aperto, a pochi metri dall’oceano, in un luogo che ha fatto la storia della cultura fisica, trasmette davvero tanta motivazione.
Le attrezzature sono quelle classiche da palestra, anche se un po’ datate, ma è proprio questo a renderle autentiche. L’ambiente è molto particolare, pieno di energia, con persone di ogni livello che si allenano con passione. Non è solo una palestra, ma un vero e proprio simbolo del fitness mondiale.
Se sei appassionato di allenamento e ti trovi a Los Angeles, è una tappa obbligatoria: più che un semplice workout, è un’esperienza da vivere.

Muscle Beach in Venice is an iconic spot in bodybuilding culture. It’s not a huge gym, but its outdoor, concrete workout space gives it a unique and classic feel. When I visited during the winter in LA, there weren’t too many people, but I imagine it gets much busier in the summer. The entry fee is $10, which is reasonable for the experience. There’s also a stage area, which looks like it’s used for competitions, adding to the historic atmosphere. It’s definitely a must-visit for fitness enthusiasts!

Maybe it's only during week-ends that the training for hard muscles happens. That day, there were only 2 guys that seemed to be paid to figure in the picture.
After all it's the only clean place with people in good health and nice appearence. The rest is very marginal and strange, some of them ready to hit you with their skate boards, bicycles and other aggressive engines, while they have a specific lane dedicated to them.
Dangerous and unsecure if you are pedestrian on the boardwalk.

Eher enttäuschend. Überall drumherum ist es sehr dreckig und heruntergekommen. Das Fitnessstudio selbst ist nichts besonderes, bis auf, dass es halt draußen am Strand ist. Man sieht hier auch eher durchschnittlich trainierte Leute trainieren und keine aufgepumpten Bodybuilder.

War ganz lustig an dem Tag dort. Es gab eine Art sportliches Gewinnspiel wo man T-shirt in überübergrößen mit Süßigkeiten gewinnen konnte.
Dazu war der Strand echt schön gerade mit den Kilometer langen Wegen zum laufen oder Rad fahren 👍🏻

Hat die besten Zeiten klar hinter sich. Der Muscle Beach ist wie das übrige Gebiet um Venice zu einer lauten und schmutzigen Gegend verkommen wo unberechenbare schräge Typen diesen Eindruck auch nicht verbessern. Allenfalls einmal übernachten und dann weiterziehen.

Doch es liegt direkt an der Promenade von Venice. Manchmal sind auch Shows und ein paar Stars da.
Trainieren darfst du da meistens nicht. Wie genau die Regel sind, weiß ich nicht.
Nimm dir trotzdem Trainingsklamotten mit und geh um die Ecke ins Golds Gym.
