Robin and the whole MVMNT team are absolutely amazing. I found this gym three years ago and two babies later my body has never felt better. For me, the biggest benefit of going here has been re-learning how to move my body in the right ways to protect against old and new injuries. In the time I’ve been with MVMNT, my back pain has greatly reduced and I’ve been given the tools to help manage it when it flairs up.
I also strongly believe Robins “labor training” helped both of my births go as smoothly as possible. I wish every pregnant, postpartum or injured person could train here. It truly is the best!!

Coach Robin and Mikayla are wonderful and strong coaches. If you’re looking for a personal training program made by women, for women (esp post partum) to get you toned and strong, then this is the place.

MVMNT is AMAZING. It’s the gym that every woman (and especially expecting mommas) should join. From the expertise of the trainers, to the beautifully curated space, to the energy of the community, it is the place I never knew I needed and now am so grateful to have. Thank you to MVMNT for helping me find my fitness groove in pregnancy! I’ll be a customer for life.

I love this gym! Mvmnt studio has helped me significantly over the last five months. I came in with intense hip and psoas pain and the coaches are attentive, patient, and cheered me on. I learned so many tips that I use in my daily life and have found significant improvement in my pain, form, and connection with my body when I lift. As someone who lifted for years and had a small amount of experience with mobility practice, I found the mixture of the two to be amazing in helping me unlearn harmful practices such as lifting until injury. Mikayla is a super star and is amazing at communicating what is needed to do specific exercises in ways that are most effective and pain-free. She was also great at getting me to tell her when something didn't work for my body, which I am not very good at doing. My final note is that this gym was a great in-between for someone that was in pain but not to the extent of needing rehab or PT. While their main focus is pre and postpartum, I, as a 28-year-old with no kids, felt perfectly at home being taught by and surrounded by the amazing women at this facility.

I absolutely love it here. I'm returning to fitness from a shoulder injury. I graduated from physical therapy a year ago, but still in some persistent pain. I was getting really discouraged from trying to modify movements and dealing with set backs at other gyms (it's hard in big groups when you're struggling).
It's been 2 weeks, and I'm having so much fun at MVMNT. Im already seeing significant improvement in my shoulder. It feels welcoming and women-centered. Every movement on my work out plan is customized and adjusted for how I'm feeling. I'm completely confident in Kristen - she's so knowledgeable. It's been exactly what I needing to get back into strength training. I've planned on coming here short term, but I don't know how I will ever leave.
I highly recommend them for return from injury and prenatal + postpartum fitness!

Where do I even start! MVMNT has been an absolute lifesaver. I, like many others, have spent years in and out of different gyms, studios, spin classes, orange theory classes, personal trainers etc and never found a place that felt fully aligned. Pulling away from diet culture, quick fixes, and the latest fads, MVMNT focuses on longevity in wellness and body care. I truly cannot say enough how grateful I feel to have found Robin. So little of the “fitness” industry accounts for the physiological makeup of the female body. Robin corrects this with her fountain of knowledge. I truly feel like I am in the best of hands. Along with personalized and flexible workouts, MVMNT is a space where I never feel judged or less than because of my body or my ability level. I could write a novel about how much I love this place but if you are looking for a space that FINALLY meets the needs of women looking for highly trained and educated trainers who know how to take care of your body and create a sustainable movement practice amongst like-minded members, look no further!

I love working one on one with Coach Mikayla. I had my daughter almost five years ago and haven’t had a regular exercise routine since. Mikayla has helped me come back into my body and made me love workouts again. I appreciate her ability to make it both fun and challenging and look forward to continuing to train with her.

I've been going to semi-private training here for the last 3 months & my only regret is not seeking it out sooner.
The pandemic really threw me off - I was fairly active before, but moving to a work from home environment where I'm at a desk all day and feeling cooped up, I stopped walking, stopped doing yoga regularly, and put on an extra 20 pounds (15% of my bodyweight). I felt like I wasn't myself. I tried getting back into a routine, but felt discouraged every time by going too hard and injuring myself or attempting a basic yoga class but getting winded constantly and falling behind. The real breaking point for me was not being able to pull down a window at home hard enough to close it.
TL;DR I turned into a lazy butt over the pandemic and it made me feel gross.
Honestly, I keep coming here & working with Robin because it's a neutral space where I don't feel judged, I don't feel discouraged, and falling behind isn't a possibility because it's not the point. You get your own routine each day you come in that gets you moving and is still challenging, yet can be changed on the fly if something's up with your body. It's all based on what you want to get out of being a member/what your goals are. The 3+ hours I spend here weekly is a much better use of my time than 3+ hours I'd try to spend working out on my own.
Happy to report I can close windows now too. WOO

I highly highly highly recommend working with Robin at MVMNT studio. When I started working with Robin, I had spent every day and every night for a year with searing back and hip pain, that developed after giving birth to my daughters. I started at MVMNT studio unsure if working out would truly help my pain. And now, I am a believer. Robin is the only professional I have worked with who has helped me get out of pain - and I spent a year working with PTs, MDs, DCs, LACs, before working with Robin. She is not only a technical expert in postpartum recovery, but also genuinely empathetic - an extremely rare combination in the health, fitness, and wellness space. I never considered myself a "gym person", and in fact hadn't lifted a weight in 15 years, and now I honestly look forward to working out. And the reason is MVMNT is more than just a gym. It's a place you can come as your true self - when you're tired, in pain, in tears, or feeling unmotivated - and are always welcome. It's such a supportive space. If I could go back in time, I would have started working with Robin at MVMNT years and years ago.

This gym is one of the biggest life changers you may ever come across. Robin, Mikayla and the coaches here are highly educated and stay connected in the field so they always have the highest quality coaching for your body. The gym is fun and full of amazing people. You will enjoy and care for yourself while your coach makes personal exercise plans for your body to heal and get stronger so your life is filled with more energy and the strength to achieve your goals and have fun with your body every day. I’ve personally seen every type of wellness/healing practitioner over the years and can say that for me the rest has become far less necessary when your body is strong, mobile and functioning well in everyday life via the coaching here at MVMNT.

It's taken me a while to write this review but mostly because I have so many positive things to say, I knew it would take me a bit to get all my thoughts on paper.
I came to Robin and MVMNT studio at a vulnerable time postpartum and it was honestly the best decision I made since having my son. When I met Robin, I immediately felt comfortable, supported and heard. I was dealing with significant pelvic floor issues, struggling with my body image since giving birth and all around overwhelmed. Through our work together, I was able to recognize my own strength and capabilities while still being able to sit comfortably with the slow and sometimes non-linear progress being made.
Her gym is a safe space, without judgement or vanity, but a space where you will come to feel empowered. I never thought of myself as an athlete before but I mastered kettlebell swings and deadlifts, stuff I thought was reserved for tough guys not new moms. And it felt good!
My only regret is that I wish I would have started training with her during my pregnancy but I was so glad to have found such an amazing community when I did.
I highly recommend MVMNT to any woman who wants a sanctuary, who wants to blow off steam, who wants to get a taste of that illusive "village" we all hear about, and who wants to have some fun and get strong.

I started with Robin in my 3rd trimester with my second baby and she has been amazing! I really needed the accountability and structure to follow so I could stay active and strong through the remainder of my pregnancy and postpartum. I'm so happy I found MVMNT and Robin and can't wait to feel my strength continue to build!

Robin is amazing. I went to see her 5 days after giving birth to my second baby because I was starting to have some twinges of back pain that had me feeling worried. Even though it was so soon after delivery, there were already things she could work on with me to help with core recovery and to support my back. I worked with her for several months and felt as though my recovery went much better than after my first baby and I felt so strong carrying around my toddler and newborn. Once I went back to work, I wasn't able to find the time (and childcare) to continue my sessions in person but Robin is also able to do sessions over Zoom and uses a coaching app or text to keep in touch from day to day. Robin is fantastic, supportive and really meets you where you are with your body and mind. I am so so so happy that I was able to get some help when I needed it and I feel like I made a friend along the way. I would recommend MVMNT Studio to everyone, not just moms. Robin can help ANYONE get stronger, reduce pain, and meet their goals.

I have been training with Robin for a few years now, even before she opened MVMNT Studio. I had been dealing with chronic back pain and sciatic pain in my leg for most of my life. With Robin's training style, my pain is completely gone!
She is an amazing trainer and offers very personalized programs. It is all up to the individual, what they can do now and where they want to go, and you truly get what you put in. It's a small gym with a very fun atmosphere. Before training with Robin, I didn't enjoy working out that much, but now I have so much fun I can't imagine life without it. We use kettlebells, resistance training, body weight training, and cardio with all the fun tools she has available, and whatever you want or don't want to try is okay and up to you.
She is all about long term comfort with your body, making sure it feels good and keeps working as we get older and go through life. If a short term gain could damage your body or mental state, it is not encouraged. I love this style of training. I am more in tune with my body than ever before and ever thought I could be.
She is a great friend and very fun and caring. Thank you so much for everything Robin!!

Robin is an incredible coach, and not just for moms. I go to Robin because I like the accountability of having a trainer, and she definitely provides that. With no other coach have I felt this much care towards me as a person and how my body is feeling. She is so genuine in her approach, plus she’s super fun to be around.

I had an incredible experience at the MVMNT Studio. Soon after I learned that I was pregnant, I was eager to train with Robin so that I could feel strong going into labor and delivery, as well as minimize any chances of having diastasis recti and pelvic floor dysfunction. I worked with Robin from around week 6 of pregnancy until week 40. With Robin’s support, I gained so much confidence in myself and my ability to be in my power while bringing my baby into the world. Her workouts were completely individualized and always pushed me, but in a way that was wholly reasonable. My entire pregnancy, I felt assured that the movements she was programming for me were safe and appropriate for each stage of pregnancy. I learned how to breathe properly for the first time in my life and I actually grew stronger through the process- even my abs! My workouts focused on turning on underused muscles to help balance out my body and prepare for the birthing experience. I was able to work out right up until about a week before I went into labor, and I had the exact birth I intended. So much of my success with my unmedicated vaginal delivery was due to my physical, mental and emotional preparation that Robin helped me with. Postpartum, I learned that I had neither DR, nor pelvic floor dysfunction (which are both incredibly common!). I can definitely attribute my swift physical recovery to all the preparation I’d done with Robin. She is a truly lovely person who is kind, understanding and easy to connect with. She keeps it real and creates a family-like environment while also remaining extremely professional. She motivated me to show up for myself and for my baby. During the pandemic, she was incredibly flexible and put the clients first to ensure that we could participate in whatever ways we felt comfortable. She even loaned out her equipment and set us up in our homes so that we could fully work out on Zoom. Robin is a mentor and a friend now who I deeply admire. I can’t recommend her coaching more highly. If you decide to join the MVMNT studio, I’m sure you will have a similarly positive experience that will meet you where you are at and is catered to achieving your own personal goals.

I would not have gotten through 2020 without Robin. My body felt wrecked after my third baby. I didn't feel strong and I felt achy all the time. Robin not only helped correct my diastasis, she helped me reach fitness goals that eluded me for a long time. I'm leaving 2020 stronger and more functional, thanks to Robin!

Robin has been such a dream to work with! I have had chronic aches and pains for years and my body just never got back to “normal” after giving birth. She is so knowledgeable, patient, and fun. I am stronger now than I’ve been in years. There are no gimmicks or quick fixes at MVMNT Studio, just consistent and well researched programming to build strength and mobility. Last year I broke 3 ribs and Robin was able to adjust my training to get me back on track. She is amazing! Whether you are prenatal, postpartum, or anywhere else on the spectrum of fitness - this is where you should be training.

As a prenatal yoga teacher and health coach, I know the importance of supporting women especially postpartum. Despite all my yoga training in prenatal anatomy and how to support women during this time, it wasn’t until I met Robin, did I really understand the nuances of the pelvic floor and how to keep it strong. I have been so grateful to not only learn more about the pelvic floor from Robin, but also how to apply this knowledge to my own body. Within just a few short sessions with her, I was able to go back to my high impact training and running and sneezing without peeing on myself! She took the time to answer all my very detailed questions (over zoom and email between sessions!), gave me homework that was not overwhelming, so I actually did it and it worked! Regardless of whether a woman has birthed babies recently or ever at all, as women get older the knowledge of this area is important because it naturally weakens over time. She is a wealth of knowledge on other aspects of the body, and I look forward to working with her more again soon.

MVMNT Studio... Robin... Was just what I needed for my first prenatal and pregnancy journey. Finding Robin in the middle of the COVID pandemic was truly meant to be. Since our first consultation I recognized her extensive knowledge not only as an exercise coach but also as a supporter of women in this beautiful but sometimes challenging pregnancy journey. MVMNT studio is not a gym and Robin is not a personal trainer, it is a community of people that are looking to improve their well being and Robin is the perfect coach to guide you through that journey. I always felt supported and heard, with space to voice my feelings while always being pushed enough to continue on track with my goals. Thank you Robin for the opportunity to be part of your community, for the outstanding work you do. To any moms to be and moms out there as well as anyone who wants to improve their body function and wellbeing cannot recommend enough Robin and MVMNT studios! A+ !

Science-based approach to fitness, personal approach to training. MVMNT Studio owner Robin fixed my body in ways I didn't even know it needed. Did your stomach never recover after having kids? She can fix that. Do you pee when you sneeze? She can fix that. Do you workout and never see results? She can definitely fix that by creating a training regimen tailored to your body's specific needs. The studio is industrial chic, clean, and friendly. It's like being on a team.

2020 took so many things away, but I will be forever grateful that it gave me the gift of Robin! After 3 babies, multiple sports injuries, and the general aches and pains of aging, my body was in rough shape. Like really rough shape. And none of that phased Robin AT ALL. She met me right where I was at and is helping me heal and get stronger every day (even via zoom during the shutdown!)!! There are so many good trainers out there, but Robin is the BEST (especially for mothers or mothers-to-be). If I could give her 100 stars I would!!
