The staff at the El Centro NAF Base Gym are outstanding. Anna, Kikki and Sandra are always willing to help you above and beyond what is required of them. I am retired military and me and my wife have been going there for years. We are in our seventies so equipment wise the fitness center has more than enough and the staff has always kept the facility clean. Great staff and facility for us!!!

Stopped in just to check it out. They do allow retirees to use it again. Looks like a well-equipped facility. There's an outdoor racquetball or handball court, and a nice big pool and water park next to it. A nice outdoor track, and a building next door with more sports facilities.

Drove 45 mins to go to the only open gym before the field and come to find out they changed the open time from 0500 to 0600 and hadn't posted it anywhere. I've posted an hours update on this site. Gym staff wouldn't make exception even though they were already inside standing around talking; they told me to wait outside for an hour while they sanitize for COVID mitigation. Nice facility, just not accommodating for service members who aren't on "their" schedule. Recommend 24 hour staffing.

Good gym. Loads of equipment and free weights. Squat racks and an actual deadlift platform which is always handy. Alot of space in here too so never feel cramped even when it is full. Lots of cardio machines also. Running track outside too for crazy people who enjoy running.

Has really great week day hours and reasonable weekend hours. This place has really great equipment some are being maintenanced for now. The staff are friendly and always have workout towels at hand. They recently installed a water filter on their fountains. The bathrooms and work space are pristine .
