Iβve had the privilege of working on Nutrition with Coach Emily as a remote client.
Her support from afar, sensible tools, and driving accountability helped me adjust my habits to be successful in making better choices when it comes to nutrition and fitness.
I couldnβt have asked for a better coach and motivator to get me feeling better as I exit my 40βs than I did as I was entering my 40βs π€£
Thank You Coach Emily!!

This place was my second home for three months while I was temporarily living in California. Definitely the best CrossFit gym in the Bay Area.
Friendly, attentive, and super professional team. Clean facility with great equipment and a really awesome crowd. I wish I could have trained here more but had to move to another state.

Best group fitness gym on the planet, it couldn't get better!
I regret not knowing this earlier, I had to leave it after two months due to my job change to another country.
Great workouts, you don't feel the time, but by the end of it, you will be properly worked out that you feel great hunger and you will sleep like a baby that night.
Effortless but high impact workouts, thanks to the coaching staff and the carefully designed CrossFit format.

Worst experience ever! Tried scheduling Intro consultation call twice and never received any call. Also visited the center. There was no at the reception for a while. Later, a person shows up but didn't care to explain how NCFit works and what the pricing looks like. And that person asked me to schedule another intro call. Disappointed to see that they do not value new folks willing to join.

If you would prefer group excercis probably it's a good option for you. There isn't something such as individual excercis here. It depends on days, some days hard exercise and some day more relax and easy. You can pick which branch and type you want to go for each section. You can buy monthly subscription or pay for some sections, it depends on your excercis plan. If you are new, coach spend time to explain for you and as much as you need, coach will help you. I really like this place and just one issue I have with it. Some coaches are so pushy and chase you around, some of them more moderate and don't micromanaging your activities. I prefer the second type of coach to get adopt over time. I know some people prefer pushy type. There are different options and you can attend in classes with moderate coaching style.

At NCFit, it is my first time doing functional training. The trainers are extremely friendly, total experts in coaching me to learn the movements, and push the entire class to get in a great workout every time. I usually attend the NCX class, which focusses on a 50/50 split, with the first half of the class focussing on strength building, and the second half of the class focussing on metabolic conditioning. I definitely feel it is the best combination of building strength, muscle, and making my overall health better. Within a couple weeks, I was hooked, attending 5 times a week. A big shout out to Coaches Frankie, Emily, and Margaux who are the absolute best. If you're thinking about trying something in the cross fit realm, definitely check this place out!

i was in town for work this week and emailed ncfit to ask which location would be best if I needed to be able to do a qualifier work out. The manager said the best location was Mountain View. I walked in tonight and asked if I needed to sign in or anything as I had paid for two open gym sessions the night before, I was told no. So I went to the back room set up for my qualifier, my camera, my clock, it was very clear that I was carefully setting up for something, there was a class going on, but it was two people and I made sure to set up away from them. I started my work out just before 6:00, no one informed me a class would be coming in, the coach of the class tried to interrupt me, then the other coach who saw me set up all my stuff came over and stopped me mid work out. I was half way through, my score is due tmrw. I donβt understand why it was not communicated to me that I had to stop at 6:00 or why I wasnβt warned that class would be starting before I started. The coach made every excuse, but at no point did he apologize or act like he cared at all. He basically told me that he didnβt care if I went to another gym, or that I was upset. Perhaps this gym is good for your average joe, but competitors I wouldnβt recommend going here. Nice space, but not a competitors gym.

I joined two months ago, and I've had a great experience. I've had gym memberships and personal trainers before, but NCFit's class format is a lot more fun and it's a heck of a full-body workout. The trainers are, without exception, all friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The workouts are tough most days, but the trainers are very good about scaling intensity to match your current level. You'll never be asked to do something you simply can't do. After two months going 3 days per week, I am a lot stronger and I just feel better in general. Highly recommended.

I will always be grateful for the NCFIT Mountain View gym. It was a place that saved me during a difficult period of transition in my life and I'm sad to be leaving it due to a job change that takes me out of the area.
The coaches are diverse and each have a unique, positive personality that they contribute to members, while also having strong relationships among themselves. They show they care through their enthusiasm, happiness to see you and watchful eye during complex movements. While the class sizes can get big, they often have 2 coaches on the floor and somehow manage to execute the classes smoothly while paying attention to individual movement quality. The coaches themselves compete in CrossFit, are insanely fit, practice mindfulness and nutrition practices, and themselves do the programmed workouts. They walk the talk and this is really important for members to see in their coaches. They are funny, knowledgeable, approachable, kind, and actively promote community between the members.
The member mix is a good sampling of general people of all levels working out and some athletes who are really impressive - just enough to be inspiring but not intimidating to someone new to CrossFit.
The programming is excellent. It is comprehensive, managing to cover classic CrossFit (benchmark and named workouts), strength, Olympic Weightlifting, aerobic capacity, interval weight training, gymnastics skillwork, recovery/blood flow, functional body building, and some classic body building. One can see that there is a long term design built around benchmark tests that makes logical sense and helps an individual work on progress in an area, rather than just going to do some random workout that crushes you for no reason. For example, a variety of clean and jerk based workouts over the span of weeks, leading up to retesting "Grace". Or a 1 mile test followed by weeks of programming in which running is a component of an interval weight training AMRAP, and an eventual 1 mile retest. Programming around the Open seemed tailored to challenge your engine or maintain your fitness, depending on how you wanted to go about the Open, with active recovery workouts programmed for Thursday and the Open workout programmed as the Friday workout. The programming for the weekend is generally a tough, volume-heavy partner workout, named workout or something you could take at an easier pace, particularly if it follows a more intense, heavy week of training. The programming is thoughtful and intelligent, and I'm considering buying it to do on my own at my next gym.
Also, the warm-ups are a combination of movements tailored to each workout, and are therefore different for every class. This reflects the thoughtful intention behind preparing the body with movement specific warm-ups. This level of attention to detail and intent is really impressive.
The weightlifting coaching is as good as you can get in a group class setting. I have received many helpful observations, cues, and suggestions that have helped me understand how I was moving my body, or given me greater awareness around the mechanics of the snatch / clean and jerk / squat / deadlift.
Lastly, the front desk staff are warm and friendly, taking care of that all important first moment a member walks in the door, and that last moment when you walk out and they say goodbye.

Alex and the crew are excellent. They have great workouts programming, and they scale it down for all types. They're really good coaches and put a lot of effort into making sure everyone is keeping the right form during workouts and no one gets hurt whenever we're dealing with heavy weights. Definitely one of the best CFs in NorCal!
The community itself is also very cheery and encouraging. They organize a lot of get togethers and activities on the weekends.
