I am so glad I found Neil and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fitness coach - via virtual coaching or in person.
Since beginning to work with Neil 6 months ago, I have improved muscle strength, cardiovascular fitness, balance, and am much more toned. Neil's extensive knowledge, experience, his guidance, and patient yet challenging approach has been a game changer for me.

I've been doing Neil's Lifestyle Program since April, and I couldn't be happier. I find him to be knowledgeable, motivating, and a bit of a whiz at designing programs that will work for each client. I've resisted counting calories, macros (I didn't know anything about them) or weighing food, though I've done every other diet and exercise program in the book. I've never had results like this, so quickly, and it's made me rethink the notion that we must accept unbecoming changes to our body and health with age. I feel better than ever, confident in my decisions, in control of my health, and proud of my body, strength, and energy. I'm lucky to have Neil in my corner, and I'm thankful for the 'side' benefits of much lower cholesterol and blood pressure (I was recently able to stop taking my BP medicine.) I could say more, but if you're considering starting on a health journey, you'll have a positive experience from the moment you contact him. I waited a long time before picking up the phone, but I've transformed my life from the moment that I did!

Neil’s fitness program has been seriously on point. The workouts are perfectly balanced—intense enough to push me, but never to the point of burnout. After struggling with hip pain for a while, I was worried I'd never be able to get back to lifting, but Neil's expertise and approach made all the difference. He tailored a series of mobility exercises and workouts that not only helped heal my hip pain but also improved my overall strength and flexibility. One of the main things we will miss moving out of Monterey is our training with Neil. He quickly became our fitness guru and took our bodies to new heights. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable on all things fitness and health but what I enjoyed the most is how real he kept it. He will work you hard but also understands we are not perfect and will have hurdles along the way. He is understanding but he will never give up on your fitness goals. My husband and I went to Neil during the year that we lived in Monterey and we cannot recommend him enough! Neil has extensive education on fitness and overall longevity/health, and stays up to date with the latest research. His recommendations are based on years of experience and science (no gimmicks), and you WILL see results. My husband and I both feel and look so much stronger than we did before, and have learned so much about proper ergonomics for injury prevention. Neil's plans are very personalized and he empowers you during each session to reach your goals. On a personal level, Neil is also a thoughtful person who cares about finding solutions for you on your health journey- and his dog is the sweetest. We will miss our training with Neil! We recently had to move away, but so grateful so have found his business as we now have such a strong foundation to build on going forward.

My son went to see Neil to begin training to become a Marine. My son was the typical gamer boy who never worked out. With Neil's diet and workout knowledge, he put together a plan to get him in shape. My son barely talked to anyone and soon he began to come out of his shell!! My son is now wrapping up Bootcamp and said he was well prepared. Major success story.Thank you, Neil!

To anyone reading this looking for a trainer, stop scrolling: I came to Neil's Fitness seeking better health, increased strength and to find my confidence again. I'm a 34 year old cancer patient who left LA after 16 years of calling it home to focus on healing in Monterey while getting treatment at Stanford. I lost a lot this past year both personally and physically. I didn't recognize my body with it's new scars and extra weight that I never had before.
I felt lost in this beautiful place with my usual exercise routine gone and the life plans I had for the future obliterated. I was bed ridden for months and I felt exhausted simply by existing. To anyone that's been there..I feel for you. In the darkness I chose to save myself and after the green light was given by my medical team to workout, I called Neil. I'm thankful I did and what I have to say will echo his other positive reviews. I lost the extra fat and I gained the strength to begin to feel more like myself. I can't control cancer, but I can control how I choose to fight it. Neil worked with me and issues from my surgeries/treatments to slowly but surely gain progress. He's knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Changes don't happen overnight, but with consistency and a trainer like Neil to guide you, you can reach your goals like I have. My doctors are happy with my increased physical wellness and so am I. Now onto new goals and an even better body and mind. - Thank you Neil for the support and guidance!

Neil is the best trainer I have ever had. I have a history of spinal surgeries in the past, plus I am now pregnant with my first baby, and Neil has helped me tremendously in maintaining my optimal physical condition, as well as giving me a lot of confidence and overcoming my fears of exercising while pregnant . My husband and I moved to the Monterey area last year and we knew that the first thing we needed to do was to find a personal trainer. While we had been doing some weight training, we knew we needed to work with someone who was focused on us and our particular needs. This is especially true for my husband, who has had multiple back and neck surgeries. I started working out with Neil right away. It took my husband a little while to believe that Neil could work with his back and neck limitations. It has now been a year and we couldn't be more pleased. We have both lost weight and gained strength. We think finding Neil has been one of the best things we have ever done. We highly recommend Neil!!

If your thinking about getting into fitness and you have no clue what to do or where to start, I recommend Neil as your guy to help you achieve your goals. His knowledge and passion for fitness will help keep you motivated and consistent to reaching your goals. I remember when I first got a gym membership, the hardest thing for me was staying determined during my workouts. What made me lose focus was the fact that I was self conscious of what I looked like and caring too much when people would stare. If you feel that you might be the same way I was when I first started out, then Neil's private studio is perfect to get you started. It has everything you need to get you on the path to being fit, let alone the knowledge that Neil has to offer!

I met Neil at a local gym through an old friend. We lifted a few times together and decided to pull me out of the funk I was in.

Neil's gym is just the right amount of space, equipment, and never crowded. I am training hard for a bikini competition and am in that gym everyday grinding it out and always can jump right onto the machine I need. I almost always can park directly in front of the building and the location is very safe. Neil himself is usually there training and is always so helpful if your wondering how to use something or if your form is good.
Neil's personal training is the most important part of the package for me personally. Before I came to Neil, I had no clue what I was doing anytime I stepped into a gym. I had no confidence in being there and therefore would never go. A gym membership was always a waste of money for me. Within my first month with Neil I learned so much about all the equipment inside the gym and what it would do for my body and now I am down 17 pounds and I feel so confident every time I step into the gym! Neil is a very patient but persistent trainer and is so passionate about health and fitness. No question is too stupid and answers are always explained in a way I can understand. He is easily reachable and always open to giving advice and of course the much needed encouragement!
