I came here for a drop in class. I loved how my instructor Jeanna gave options to advance the pose in this Full Body Yoga class and the owner Joe made me feel like family.

Nob Hill Yoga is an absolute gem. The studio is warm and inviting to yogis of all levels. The team of teachers are as approachable and welcoming as they are skilled. They offer a wide range of classes from yin to power flows to outdoor options to astrologically influenced asanas. I have never been disappointed by a class or teacher after coming here for five years. Beautiful studio space with natural light, plants, and tea.

I’m so glad Nob Hill Yoga stayed when Folk left! I love all the instructors, the owner, the studio’s clean cozy vibe and the way I feel every morning after I take a class. Great for ALL levels and a super inclusive studio. Plus this view on my walk home?! 10/10

Fantastic yoga studio with the kindest instructors ☺️ Joe, the owner, is so friendly and welcoming to everyone (and his class is very fun). I also love Lucy’s, Lizzie’s, and Kaitlin’s classes (and I’m sure all the others are great, I just haven’t tried them yet). Also, the space itself is beautiful!

Nob Hill Yoga is a neighborhood gem. The class variety is amazing, and every instructor brings deep expertise and genuine care. They learn your name, remember your story, and build real community. You can feel it — all the instructors live locally, and that shared energy carries into every class.
Joe’s classes are absolutely wild (in the best way): loud music, intense flow, and still somehow totally mindful. Denelle's vinyasa will have you focused, present, and slowly chipping away at poses you never thought you could hold. Nob Hill never disappoints.

Absolutely fantastic yoga studio - clean and bright, with a nicely maintained space. Clean mats and towels, and the owner and teacher Joe makes the whole experience! He is super kind and energetic - I have never felt so immediately welcome and comfortable in a new studio. Highly recommend if you are a local or visiting.

I just moved to SF and was struggling to find a studio that did classic vinyasa style yoga but not “hot” yoga. This was it! Joe the owner and Chelsea and Jenna the instructors are both super welcoming and friendly. I’ve really enjoyed my initial membership so far.

I really love this independent neighborhood yoga studio! Joe, the new owner, has incredible energy and warmth. My favorite class is Sunday morning flow and I look forward to trying others. Also taking classes here is a great opportunity to support a Black-owned, locally owned small business

Don’t sleep on Folk! Today is MLK day and I showed up for the 7:15 class to find everyone had canceled but me. So while I know this is not ideal for Folk, it was amazing for me. Monica is an incredible teacher and I was so psyched to have some one-on-one with her. She gave me really helpful corrections and taught a vigorous and spiritual class. She took into account some soreness I’ve been having in my back and hip, and spoke to the practice as far as intention and overall goals. It was such an incredible way to start the day and spilled into every aspect of mine. I am hooked on Folk. Thank you, Monica!

The classes can be good and I like one teacher in particular. However ever since FOLK acquired this Nob Hill location from Moxie, the customer service falls flat. I got here at 5:05 rushing in the rain for a 5pm class and I'm aware that is late. But bc Folk 1) has 1 employee meaning the teacher checks people in then locks the door to teach, we get locked out. 2)NO ONE picks up the phone which is just 1 # for the central office so even trying to call ahead that I'm running late in the rain goes nowhere. At least have a Google voice # to the location that we can call or text. 3)Now I'll get a no show fee.
Wish FOLK made communication from customers easier and at least gave us a 5 minute grace on rainy days! 🌧 The best we can do is leave a voicemail and hope for a call back on another day.
The teaching can also be inconsistent meaning a sub on a morning will play loud club music and shout over it when normally it's a gentle morning flow experience.
The locked door shutout is not a unique experience so hopefully FOLK makes changes going forward and even gets a phone # for the location.

Great neighborhood cosy studio, convenient class schedule, clean and fresh studio! I just resumed my yoga practice after a long hiatus. Highly recommend Joe White for his classes, this soul is a power house, invigorating, and positively shaking the funk out of the body/mind. Kingsley's classes are just as amazing, gracious disposition and a grounding approach to accommodate all level yogis.

I am really confused about your website. I was looking for yoga teachers that teaches Ashtanga or Iyengar. It would be great if classes or teacher have a particular yoga practice written on their profiles. Or at least label the class with a specific type of yoga. i would like to attend one of the classes but hard to decide.

I tried to come to Moxie for the first time and was 4 minutes late to class. I found that there was no one at the desk and the studio was locked. I would not recommend a studio that staffs it’s facilities like this. Everyone is trying to balance a million things in life -- we need fitness studios that create policies that offer grace and flexibility while keeping us safe. It is a treat when there is time to fit in a workout. It's ideal to be early, but we're all managing work, children, etc, so it's not always realistic. It is just about the saddest thing to have to head home without the anticipated workout one hoped for.
This was specifically the Nob Hill location - I knocked on the door to the desk as well as the door that directly opens to the studio and no one came out to get me. There didn't appear to be many shoes--with a small class, seems like a small ask to have someone come unlock the door in the first 10 minutes if the desk can't be staffed. Have a bell, a code, something, if the knocking is an issue. There wasn't even a phone number to call ahead when I knew I was going to be late.

I love this studio! The instructors are all AMAZING... Tanya, Caitlin, Elaine are some of my fav. I can’t wait for the studio to reopen :) But even in the midst of COVID the online classes have been incredible and has allowed me to maintain my practice. Very welcoming community and tailors to all levels. I have grown so much in my practice here.

What makes this place unique is that there is a consistent standard across all classes, regardless of teacher or class time. Even though the teachers are able to add their own flavor, you can tell that the studio sets very specific instructional design standards that each class needs to meet. This results in a very consistent fitness experience and makes it a lot easier to set goals and get your body into a daily practice rhythm.

...no glitz or glamour to hide anything, Mark Rausa is the real thing!...no matter how many different areas of our bodies or poses a class wants to work on, he fits us all in, addressing each and every one of us...he makes it all flow together with tips and demonstrations showing that he actually knows what he's talking about...I'm learning so much here with daily progression!...
