Novato Fitness Studio/Gym offering Small Group classes. Our classes are focused on Strength/Resistance training, a combo of Strength & Conditioning Classes and more, Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching. Our classes sizes are limited so you get the coaching you may need.
We also have training and class space available to personal trainers who are looking to branch out of the traditional gym setting and work more independently for themselves.

One of the best, most fun investments I’ve made to stay mobile, strong and injury-free as I age. All I have to do is show up and everything is mapped out in a small group setting with friendly supportive workout buddies. In sixty minutes, we move through a comprehensive mobility warmup and activation/alignment drills followed by a solid, always challenging strength workout. Nicol doesn’t miss anything and provides expert coaching on our form, including modifications as needed, yet she never lets us slack. I’m pleasantly surprised at the progress I’ve made since joining, and my wonky surgically repaired spine & knee have never felt more stable. What a terrific way to start the day!
I can only get to strength sessions right now, but other outstanding classes include strength & conditioning, core strength, restorative yoga and Pilates, all offered by expert teachers. Highly recommend them all if your schedule permits! 👍

Northbay Fitness has been a life changer for me. I’m someone who needs support and also a push, and that’s what I get from NBF. I also appreciate being able to workout and get to know people from different age groups and experiences. The equipment is new and the gym is always sparkling clean. I’ve had private and group instruction and can’t recommend Nicol and Northbay Fitness enough. The best!

I've been working out at NBSF for almost a year now and Loving it. The classes are fun, instructors are knowledgeable, motivating and encouraging. I love that they will correct form and set goals for you to progress. The community is a great group of people too!

I've been training at North Bay Strength & Fitness in Novato for a few months now, and I'm really impressed with the quality of the workouts and the overall atmosphere. The gym is well-equipped with free weights, barbells, squat racks, cable machines, and even a torque machine, providing everything you need for a comprehensive strength training routine.
Nicol and Alex are incredibly knowledgeable and create challenging and fun workouts tailored to each person's unique needs. Their professionalism and ability to adapt exercises ensure that everyone can push themselves safely and effectively. The gym is always clean and well-maintained, with amenities like towels, cubbies for your belongings, a water fountain, and a bathroom, making your workout experience convenient and comfortable.
The atmosphere at North Bay Strength & Fitness is warm and welcoming. Nicol has done an excellent job of fostering a community that supports and encourages each other. She also plans community events that bring us closer as a crew, making the gym feel like a second home. I appreciate the sense of belonging and the motivation that comes from being part of such a positive environment.

I am new to strength training and was a little hesitant I'm in Moderate shape., I do exercise walking and running. I was looking for something to change it up something to strengthen my core more, and boy did I find the right place!!! Nicol is phenomenal instructor I really enjoyed the class 🥰I felt a sore the next morning it was a good sore to feel muscles 💪 in my abs waking up 😘

Nicol is so awesome! I am a beginner in weight room and came to class with an old injury. I love how Nicol took the time to go over form with me when needed and gave excellent modifications for my injury. The culture of her classes is also top notch! Nicol has literally changed my body and my overall health over the past 3 years! We started working together during the pandemic. I was out of shape and had several injuries when we started out. I was also a complete NOOB in the weight room, and she is so patient, thorough, encouraging and helpful. Her knowledge of your body physiology, and wide range of training methods is amazing. Honestly I'd give her 10 stars if that was an option!

Incredible gym! I love all of the small group training classes, there’s great variety, the trainers are amazing at scaffolding the workout to any injuries or limitations. Equipment is really well maintained and the community is very friendly and encouraging. Couldn’t say enough good things about NBSF! Whenever we have people visit from out of town, we bring them to classes- everyone loves the workouts! Highly, highly recommended giving this gym a try!

Nicol is the best! I've been taking her classes for a couple of years now, and I'm so excited that she's now in business for herself in this beautiful new space.
She'll help you achieve things you didn't know you were capable of (such as surviving a Spartan race!) She focuses on correct form and functional movement and always has adaptations ready to meet you where you're at.
The community is also great. It's a really fun and encouraging environment, with lots of laughs while we're all busting our rear ends.

Going to North Bay Strength & Fitness multiple times this week has left me feeling worked in the best way! After getting back from traveling I was nervous to jump back into the gym. I've always been into fitness, mostly running with some cross training days. I thought I had a good grasp of form and workout composition but after a couple months of classes here I've learned so much!
There are always options to modify exercises or choose lower / higher weights based on individual needs. I've never felt pressure to go heavier than I was comfortable with.
Nicol is a great instructor and the classes are always varied and fun. All the members I've met so far have been awesome and friendly. It's a very positive atmosphere while still being challenging!
