We offer the best Martial Arts training at the most affordable prices in Oroville, CA. We specialize in tradition Japanese Karate and weapons training for anyone ages 5 and above. We also incorporate basic concepts of Jiujitsu, Wrestling and modern weapons self defense. Our 2 instructors have a combined martial arts experience of over 50 years. Great for people who wish to learn self defense, improve their health, gain self dicipline, as well as, learn respect and manners. Our school is perfect for anyone just starting out. We participate in several tournaments each year for those athletes who love competition. There are no contracts to sign and we offer 2 free trial classes for new students, no obligation to sign up.

Our son has been going to Northern California Karate Academy for several years and really enjoys his time there. Even though it’s a lot of hard work and physically demanding he has made new friends and has learned a lot about discipline, manners, and more. It’s not only about karate but also about respect, sacrifice and commitment.

Wanted to update as its been a couple years. If your looking for a dojo that teaches more then just the steps of karate this is it. They really care about the familes and students. My children enjoy ever time they are in the dojo.

We checked out a couple of other local Martial Arts studios before enrolling our six-year-old at Norther California Karate Academy.
Other studios left us concerned about safety, and professionalism, as well as whether they were truly capable of teaching small children. We have no such concerns here. Sensei Keeney and Sensei Jackson are great with all ages of kids. Our daughter is flourishing under their tutelage, and she is not the only one.
If you are looking for a karate studio for your kids, I can highly recommend Northern California Karate Academy.

Instructors are positive and caring to the students but also structured! Very friendly owners, helpful to new parents! My daughter has gained confidence here and it has helped her in her other hobbies and just in her daily walk in life! Thank you for what you all do for Oroville and Butte County youth!

My family has been a member of this dojo for almost 2 years now. This is the place if you are looking for a traditional karate dojo. Where they care about you inside the dojo as well as out. My two children age 7 and 9 have learned and grown so much since we joined.
