I love going for drop-ins whenever I'm away from my box in La Verkin, UT. I always find myself at the bottom of the CF rope. Why are all those athletes so darn strong? Probably because of Dusty! He is the funniest coach I've ever met. He is also a treasure trove of facts about the CF lifestyle, and he helped me make minor adjustments to perform workouts more effectively. Definitely a place I will go to drop in again.

I dropped I to Oak Park on my vacation to complete the Open 25.3 workout, looking for a CrossFit gym in the area, and my experience was fantastic, beyond my expectations! This gym has the most welcoming coaches and community with a top notch facility. The indoor outdoor concept was super nice with the sun and palm trees. Jamie, the manager, was incredibly kind for allowing me a space to complete the Open. I would highly recommend this CrossFit gym to anyone visiting the area if you want a space to meet new and incredible people. Thank you Oak Park for the fantastic workout!

I would say best gym on the west side, but let’s be honest…this is the best gym in all of LA. The attention and care of the coaching stands above any gym I’ve been a part of. As a former professional athlete, I cannot overstate the quality of this gym and its staff. Best ever!

Oak Park LA is the gym I’ve been looking for my entire life. I’ve been a member for 1.5 years and can’t speak highly enough about the quality of the coaches, programming, and facility. I’d been a member at 2-3 other CrossFit gyms in other cities and kept getting injured due to improper form and going too hard too often. Oak Park LA coaches have helped me improve on the fundamentals, identify opportunities for individualized growth, and discern when to push myself versus taking it easy. The intentionality + philosophy behind the coaching is unparalleled and I’m grateful to be a part of the community.
The sauna + cold plunge is also a huge perk of being a member here :)
If you’re looking for intentional growth as an athlete and human Oak Park LA is the gym for you.

This gym is more than just my fitness community. I’m grateful for the deep friendships I’ve made here, too! I would not call myself the typical “Crossfitter.” And yet, I’ve been able to achieve things here that I’ve never done or thought I could do before. The coaching staff is second to none. I've spent time at a handful of gyms, and the coaching at CFLA is just incredible. There is a level of knowledge and understanding that is hard to come by. I felt it in my first class in the diligence in the warm up and coaching adjustments even after years of being a member at other gyms. I also think the facility is well organized, clean and just nice. And the programing options are great too; from breadthwork to olympic lifting to fire and ice, there is something for where ever you are in your practice.

I came to Oak Park about 6 years ago when I was looking for a place that had great coaching and incorporated some additional aspects of fitness (like breath work, flexibility) into their programming and have loved the results. Great culture and community. I recently had a hip replacement and coordinating my “prehab” a few months before surgery as well as the rehab post surgery has been extremely effective. The coaches all communicate so regardless of what class I take, each coach knows where I am in my rehabilitation and how to scale the workouts appropriately. Big shoutouts to coaches Nick, Dusty and Matt for keeping my spiritd up as I try to regain my strength and mobility. Oak Park rocks!!

When I entered my 30's I saw myself gaining weight and just generally having a pretty unhealthy and inactive lifestyle. I started doing p90x but quickly grew bored of working out by myself. I found this gym (formerly Crossfit Los Angeles) and the amazing community and I haven't looked back. Since starting here I've finished 12 Ironman triathlons, 4 GoRuck challenges and a plethora of other physical and mental feats that I didn't believe myself capable of doing when I started. I just received my 12 year anniversary email from my coach and I'm looking forward to the next 12.
If you're considering starting your fitness journey, I HIGHLY recommend coming in to this gym to talk with one of the coaches. Training is one of the hardest things in life that I do but the support of the world-class coaches that work here and the incredible community that trains here makes it fun and rewarding.

It’s so much more than a gym. Oak Park is a space where you can realize your potential and achieve goals that seemed not possible. For me, that was learning how to ride a bike and open water swim so I could finish two triathlons a year after a hip replacement. During my private and group training, I felt challenged, safe, affirmed and motivated. I worked with several different coaches during my training, all specializing in their own expertise, but similarly phenomenal. The coaching is world class and lives far beyond the physical work we do at the gym. I’ve developed confidence, mental toughness, gratitude and patience. I’ve made friends and joined a community.

The Last Gym I will Ever Go To. This place is the gym I have been looking for. The coaches are great and they all know their stuff. The owners are very personable and they put their heart into the community. This place doesn't have the "meatball" vibe. It is suitable for people of any level. It is really a gem of a gym. This a a terrific community with top notch coaches. I have been a member since 2009. It has kept me fit, happy and sane. Some of my best friendships have come out of CFLA Oak Park because it is just not a place to do tough things together, it's a place to have a community. And there are so many classes to choose from - CrossFit, Gymnastics, Kettle Bell, Mobility, Breath work, Sauna and Ice baths, Barbells and Bodybuilding, Olympic Weightlifting, etc. Their coaching and classes have allowed me to continue to grow, avoid injury and excel in my outside sports as well - mountain biking, triathlons, snowboarding, etc. Plus it's super cool to have Olympians training here.

As a member of OakPark for over 4 years, I have had tremendous growth, both physical and mental.
The coaches at Oak Park are extremely competent in their coaching abilities and have a broad knowledge in multiple areas. I love the specialty classes such as Performance breathing, Gymnastics, mobility Olympic weightlifting, swim clinics just to name a few. The coaches show up and help us members (athletes) connect with each other and the community.

It’s a remarkable community with some of the most talented coaches you can find anywhere. Everyone checks their ego at the door. If you are committed to growing and learning, you will benefit from the techniques and expertise of the exceptional staff. A real gym is not its equipment or its luxury soaps or its smoothie bar — a real gym is its coaches, and Oak Park has the best. I was a member for 8 growth-packed years. The only reason why I left was because I had to move out of state, and leaving the community at this gym was the hardest part of leaving LA.

I have been a member of Oak Park (and its predecessor CrossFit LA) since 2012. I have absolutely loved my time there - I keep coming back for the incredible workouts and coaching...but I stay because of the community. This community is like my second home and second family. The coaches truly care about my overall well being (physically and emotionally), I get world class instruction (I have learned to row, Olympic weight lifting, gymnastics among a myriad of other skills) in an environment that is safe and fun. The focus on functional health (including stretching and injury prevention) will help me stay fit and healthy for years to come. So 10 years ago I started on a journey. A journey to better myself. I weighed over 350 lbs. I tried all different types of gyms like 24hr fitness. You’d go in hard for a week or so and burn out. A friend of mine told me about CrossFit and what it was and how it works. Well 10 years later I have never been as strong. Not just physically but mentally as well. Oak Park does so many things. They are not just focused on the fire breathing aspect of what a lot of people perceived CrossFit to be. You have The obvious competition days where you wanted to just give it 110%. They also have practice days to hone your skills as well as mental toughness days. The mental days are some of my favorite days. At Oak Park it doesn’t matter what fitness level you are or how skinny, fat or ripped you are. The coaches are top notch and adjust the workouts to your athletic ability. They care about you. So if you made it this far reading my review. Give it a try. You don’t have anything to lose. I feel we are one big happy family and love new comers to add to the family list.

I can't say enough positive things about my experience at Oak Park. My husband and I are both members and it’s a time for us to bond and become better and stronger parents for our two kids. As a busy mom, finding time for self-care can be challenging, but this gym has truly been a game-changer for my mental and physical well-being.
First and foremost, the coaches are simply outstanding. They are dedicated to helping each member reach their fitness goals no matter the fitness levels. Oak Park provides a family-friendly and inclusive environment. It’s a positive and motivating atmosphere and the coaches makes every workout enjoyable and effective.
One coach, in particular, Char, has made a significant impact on my postpartum journey. As a mom herself she personally understands my needs and tailors my private training sessions. Her expertise, encouragement, and unwavering support have been instrumental in my fitness transformation. She also coaches the Women’s Class which has been a game changer for my confidence. It’s like a bonus that I have a female and mom community that is empowering and supportive for the unique needs of women.

I have been a member at Oak Park for three and a half years and every time I am there I am so impressed by the quality of the coaching, the friendliness of the community and the cleanliness of the facility. Believe it or not, most Crossfit gyms I have been to are more like a dirty frat house than a luxury gym, but they all charge luxury gym prices. While Oak Park's membership is definitely on the higher side price wise, they provide coaches who COACH, work with the students in class individually and truly know all of us as people and athletes.
Oak Park relocated to a smaller location in 2023 because the old location is slated for demolition. They've made the most of the space and it is always very well organized and cared for. They're making an effort to have more community-centered events to grow the camaraderie that we begin building in our classes and introducing more specialized classes too like a women's only class, kettlebell classes, breathwork and mobility, along with the regular Crossfit class they call "General Human Performance".
It has been a pleasure spending many mornings a week with the fine coaches and my fellow students.

I started training with Coach Char in a moment of high emotional stress and chronic back pain after injury. Since joining the community in 2023, I have seen tremendous growth and development that is both physical but also mental. Coached by some of the best health and wellness coaches this community has seen, the philosophy of this CrossFit community transcends physical wellness, and growth. Tapping into the science behind wellness, each coach at the community is focused on driving value and knowledge to each of their members. There is a strong sense of devotion and passion that is well expressed in each and one of the coaches there. Each with their own valuable experience, provide not only motivation and strength, but also will and wisdom, which is non-existent in the traditional setting of a corporate ran gym, and corporate training agendas and trainers. From the programming to the quality conversations that are had, I am privileged to be a part of something greater than myself, because every time I am there participating, I realize I am defining the outcome of my wellness and journey. While on the race to greatness, Oak Park is the forefront of defining this greatness, because they make attaining greatness their responsibility as much as it is mine.

I can’t say enough great things about Oak Park, the trainers and the community. I work out 1-1 with Char and also attend her weekly women’s class. The coaching, workouts and care Char provides are top notch. In a few months I’ve built muscle mass, toned up and had a lot of fun. I have been a member of Oak Park for almost 8 years, and it’s been an amazing experience. The group classes are great, and the coaches are not only down to earth, but they are knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. They really care about each individual and will work with you one on one. The workouts are fun, and I’ve learned a lot and have improved so much in my fitness ability. Before joining, I must admit, that I was one of those who did not want to get “bulky” from doing Cross Fit. But that has not been the case whatsoever. My fitness background was mostly dance cardio. But now I am more healthy and fit than I have ever been since joining Oak Park. Another highlight is the community aspect. Oak Park hosts fun community events throughout the year so that you can really get to know the people. What I enjoy most is the women’s community that coach Char leads. The women I get to workout with in the women’s classes are so welcoming and warm. Coach Char is truly amazing and is so passionate at what she does. There are also women’s only events that are so much fun and they are a great opportunity to strengthen relationships. I feel so lucky to get to workout with such an amazing group of people and know that my fitness journey is embraced with such love and support by superior coaches.

Really cool gym with a fantastic outdoor space! But more importantly, great coaching and programming! I've been coaching CrossFit for 15 years and I learned stuff in today's class that I've never seen in all of those fifteen years! Coach Jay did a great job explaining all the movements to the class and, even more importantly, did a fantastic job of engaging the community and bringing togetherness in the class! He even stayed later to help an athlete that had some specific needs. This place is a great place to train, with some great coaches. Highly recommend whether you're visiting from out of town or live locally looking for your next Fitness home!

My wife and I visited LA on vacation and as we are both regular CrossFitters (and I am a big fan of Andy Petranek's work) it just made perfect sense to visit CFLA for a mid-vacation WOD.
In the run up to our visit, we received excellent customer service from Nikki, who made us feel very welcome and was on hand to answer any questions we had.
Jonesy was our coach for the session - we were impressed by his coaching style, very clear and very encouraging - he put us through a great WOD which stands out as being one of our most memorable and made us feel like we were part of the CFLA family and not just tourists. Thanks for the great experience guys - we hope to be back soon!
