Synergy180 is the best part of my day! If you’re looking for a gym where you’ll be inspired and excited to work out, this is the place. The dynamic class offerings make it a truly exceptional fitness studio. Special shout to Emma for her infectious energy and motivation, she makes you feel like you can do anything!

The coaches and the workouts are great but their billing practices are SO shady. I know many people who have ended their membership (who went here for years) due to being wrongly charged by hundreds of dollars, and their membership director refuses to admit any wrongdoing or provide refunds. The quality and cleanliness has declined over the years, but their predatory billing practices were enough to force me to finally quit.

At about 4 months postpartum I started personal training with Emma and she is fantastic! She is so warm and kind. I felt super comfortable here, and she really tailored our workouts to what my body needed and I learned so much. Also having the gym to ourself most sessions felt luxurious and I even was able to bring my baby along to watch! 10/10 recommend!

I was charged for months even after cancellation and then they delete reviews and don’t refund money and come back with excuses that ownership has changed and nothing can be done

Great place. I am in San Diego for a few days and loved last week's class. I recommend it to everyone visiting the area and would like a nice place to exercise.

This review is long overdue. If you are on the fence I hope my review persuades you to give it a try. I have never felt stronger and healthier. I came here with so much knee pain about 10 months post acl surgery. I thought that my workouts would be limited. The first day I had trouble with lunges and squats, but the next day it was easier. About 2 weeks later nearly all of my pain went away. I was so upset with my physical therapist and started going to Synergy180 exclusively for strength training as well as physical therapy. I’ve hit so many milestones like the box jump for example. there’s no corporate BS. You can talk to the owner directly. Everyone is there to help. Huge shoutout to one of the trainers Shay for pushing me, making sure I’m doing the movements correctly and switching out my weights for heavier ones mid exercise. Well worth the money!

I absolutely love this place. The trainers are very awesome at what they do. Everyone here has great attitudes and the workouts are intense. It’s locally owned and very easy to schedule classes. This place has been life changing for me.

I am so grateful for Synergy. . I was not a workout person before, to be honest I hated going to the gym. When I turned 40 I felt the need to change. that's when I found out Synergy was opening down the street from me. I signed up for 3 free classes and was hooked. I have been going for almost 5 years (including pandemic, which by the way, they were incredibly supportive). I love that the workouts are only 45 minutes, many options through the day leaving me with no excuses to skip. I start my days every day of the week and I swear its what keeps my health and sanity in place. The owner Sofia is the best so are all the instructors. I have met so many incredible people from the Synergy community. I can't thank you guys enough! Hardly recommend you trying. LOVE

I am finishing up a full year at Synergy, and it was just what I wanted for my workouts. I love that you get such a great sweat in in such a short period of time - just 45min and you're done! I also like that the variation in workout splits/setups allows for more HIIT/cardio some days, and other days where you can really focus on lifting heavier. That said, there is never a second wasted, they're always pushing you! Lastly, having the option of Open Studio was really great on days when I couldn't make any of the classes, or just wanted to jam out to my own music and be in my own world for my workout. Thank you to all of you at Synergy for being my home away from home whilst in San Diego. :)

I recently moved here from the East Coast and promised myself one of my goals was to get into better shape. I found Synergy and their 6 week challenge, loose 4% body fat or 20lbs for $600. If you reach that goal you receive your money back! I put my money where my mouth was and I ended up completing the challenge and came in with a 4.1% body fat lose! Listen, it was not easy but I am proof it can be done. I completed the challenge by going into the gym 6 days a week, running on the side and some days staying for open gym and doing second workouts. I was very strict on my diet and and made a serious effort to but down alcohol which for me was a very hard task in itself. The coaches and manager are super nice at Synergy and I have met some really nice people and have made some new friends. As I am new to the area it has been a positive moral booster! For me, I love a gym that has structed classes and tells me what do verse figuring it out on my own, which is what Synergy does. Thank you for Synergy for my workouts and better fitting cloths!!!!

This place was great! Challenging movement but super fun, high energy and great location. Ashley helped me with my first free class and she was so kind! Highly recommend for anyone looking to move and get the heart rate up.

They have few specials going on right now, so it’s the best time to sign up!

Loved the classes. But I canceled my membership months ago and they still are trying to charge me.

They also delete any bad reviews they get so, let's see how long this stays up.

You're better off going somewhere else.

I chose Synergy because it was a non-traditional gym. I didn't used to like "working out". All the trainers are friendly but give that much needed push to challenge me beyond my comfort, which has helped me become stronger and feel more confident in my body movement. In addition there are times I am unable to do some of the exercises due to an injury and they are great at providing a modification that works the same area. In 6 weeks I have lost 11lbs and now LOVE working out.

I've been going to synergy for over a month now and I love love the classes, coaches are motivating and helpful. Small community centric kind of studio, which I really like as well. All of the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The classes have really helped me get on track in my fitness journey, especially through the 6 week fitness challenge which has helped motivate me greatly! Sofia provides several types of meal plans with recipes and shopping lists making it super easy to stay on track.

The gym is all class based with open studio time available in between. Classes are great and focused on hiit and circuit training. Trainers are lovely people. Very community oriented and feeling type of place. Only thing they could improve upon is adding more weights/ creating more heavy weight focused circuits or adding more challenging modifications for more advanced members.

I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for engaging, motivating workout classes. The instructors are knowledgeable and the workouts are always changing. I was not overweight when I started and have still lost 7 pounds in 6 weeks! You get the added bonus of supporting a local business and feeling like part of a community which are both very important to me as well. First class is free so it definitely doesn’t hurt to try it out!

I've loved my experience at synergy 180. I've never been confident in an the gym but decided to try the 6 week challenge. The workouts are definitely hard but the coaches definitely help motivated and correct form. I've already lost 7% body fatin the 6 weeks. I'm excited to continue my fitness journey with Synergy 180

Where to begin? We completed the 6 week challenge- attended 3 classes per week and improved our eating! Guess what? I lost 4% body fat by doing this! We just loved the small classes (max 16 people) and the variety of work outs! I was an athlete growing up and forgot how good it feels in your body to move!!! Run don’t walk to try out this gym!

I wanted to post a review because I moved from LA to San Diego about 8 months ago, and used to hike / workout a lot over there and couldn’t find the same vibe that I was looking for in multiple gyms that I have tried in SD, so I was always giving up and felt disappointed that I would never find again the feeling of accomplishment and success in my workout journey, until I signed up with Synergy, I was going 3 times or more per week (morning classes with Taylor - the best !)
Their training is really powerful and well organized. The gym is cleaned and the environment is great.
Obviously the push that you need to get up in the morning and workout comes from you first but also because you know that you’ll see results when you train with professional coaches.
All the trainers are knowledgeable and I feel I could trust them.
Then today, I can tell that my body got stronger I can see my muscle définition little by little and it motivates me to stay with them. I truly recommend them : Taylor, Noah, Kelly ´s classes are the best. Thank you Synergy Team

It’s been almost three months since I started Synergy and I couldn’t be happier. Never imagine myself working out in a non-traditional gym. I was used to have lots of equipment, spend at least two hours at the gym and was not seeing results. After the combination of a pandemic, injury and surgery, I was so lost and had no idea where to begin with. The gym I was used to go was still closed, but I couldn’t wait more so I decided to have a open mind and started researching alternatives and Synergy came highly recommended.

I am very happy with the workouts, the amazing energy and awesome staff. 45 minutes workouts with Jasmine, Shai or Sophia are way more effective, fun and sustainable than my previous long and boring exercise routine. I still have a long way to go until I reach my goals, but I couldn’t be in a better place to help me all the way! Thank you for everything guys!

HERO Challenge:
This review is based on my last week of the 7 week HERO challenge. I liked it for these reasons:
1. This program was different from the previous 6 week (20 lbs or 5% body fat) challenge because it was just competing with other people, based on obtaining the most points.
2. The eating plan had a formula for calculating your daily caloric intake and keeping track of calories; more flexibility (allowed “carbs” that I previously avoided), but suggested 40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fat over eating 5x a day; provided 5 levels of food from “best” to “worst”; and gave us recipes and suggestions on substitute foods.
3. We had a weekly weigh in and body fat check.
4. The program encourages you to workout at least 5x a week, if not everyday.
5. Because wellness is more than just body weight/fat, the challenge incorporated other elements in the form of a weekly challenge, i.e., you get 10 points for videotaping yourself meditating; for completing questions on goals, state of mind, etc.; You also get points for “posting” on social media, recruiting friends, and drinking a gallon of water daily.
6. Coach Sofia sends encouraging emails along the way, sharing with us what the top candidates are doing for their weight loss success. She also met with me at week 3 when I was not making any progress on losing pounds and suggested I keep better track of my calories, drink a gallon of water a day, and run around the block 2x after every workout (for expend another 150 calories)
7. We will do a “before” and “after” body measurements, pictures, weight/fat as well as testing for various exercises (pushups, squats, burpees, situps, bicep curls, deadlifts) to measure progress. You get points for the additional reps at your final test.

I have noticed a visible difference in me and many of the participants in the HERO challenge— look slimmer all around (less belly), have more stamina, and feel better.

This part of the review is based on Synergy180 overall:
High intensity interval training (HIIT) workout is challenging with weight lifting/resistance training with cardio. Every workout is different—some have rotating stations vs. some have you at your own station doing various exercises with dumbbells, kettle bell, plate, your own body weight. The music is also different at every workout—with lots of songs I love and some songs I’ve never heard before. The exercise is actually fun (and lends itself to small group workouts). The energy of the other students—many of whom are much younger than me like half my age—incentivizes you to work hard.

After the workout, I feel great-endorphins rushing and accomplished.
I started coming here since Oct 2018 and in total, I have been exercising here for 5 months. I have already prepaid for 8 months of membership.

I decided to join Synergy back in October 2018 because I wanted to change my fitness levels and have overall better health. I joined by accepting a 6-week challenge that was FREE, if you dropped 20lbs or 5% body fat. Well I ended up loosing 15.7 lbs and 5.7% body fat. I felt so encouraged by all the coaches (Sofia, Gabe, Kate, Noah, and Jasmine) there and never felt like I was just a client.

Then I decided to join a 7-week Hero challenge. Every week there was an email sent out with a specific challenge that involved drinking more water, logging in the food I was eating, encouraging a friend to participate in a workout with me, personal year-long goals plan that was submitted to the coaches, and last but not least, 100 daily burpees (OMG that was hard). This challenge not only has made me stronger physically, but it has pushed me to find the deeper reason as to why one should take care of our bodies. I began to notice that every time I posted on social media that I was at the gym or my progress on this challenge, others began to notice and it encouraged them to want to begin eating a bit healthier or exercise a little more. That has been the most rewarding part of joining this challenge. While this challenge started as a means to achieve greater physical strength and have better health, it has been a vehicle to encourage my friends, coworkers, and family to improve their health and fitness.

If anyone is reading this long review and wondering, why is this guys talking about physical fitness and change so much? Well, to summarize it, I strongly believe that in order to make a change, it is easier to make a commitment and stick to it when you have a supporting and encouraging community. That is why I go through the doors of synergy every single day. I am a part of a community. There are people that are always ready to encourage and ask how things are going in your life outside of the gym. Because let’s face it, we all go through hard days, but it helps when you know you have a community that is ready to support and encourage one another. #synergyst

I love this place! I've been coming here since they opened just over a month ago and it's been an awesome experience so far. Sofia and Tim, the owners, are so warm and welcoming and the passion and dedication they've put into opening this gym really shows. They've already been able to develop a wonderful sense of community in a short time; the members known each other by name and are so supportive and encouraging of one another through the workouts. My favorite class is Power House which is an energizing blend of H.I.I.T and strength training all in 45 minutes. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a fun yet challenging workout. Come check it out, you won't regret it!
