OGP in Ladera is a modern facility with friendly and helpful staff members; however the referees at OGP are abysmal. I never feel more nervous for our players safety than I do at OGP facilities. Iβm fed up with the mean, street-ball tactics that the apathetic refs here consistently overlookβtheyβre here for a paycheck not to promote and create quality play (see video)βno foul was called after this blatant intentional foul.
The parking fee is $20.00 every time you park which is outrageous when you have a three day tournament with multiple games per day. On top of the parking fee, spectators are required to pay an additional $20.00 a day to watch their athlete(s) playβhow can families afford this! If my wife, daughter, and I attended my sonβs three day tournament we would be charged a whopping $240.00 just to watch him, and that doesnβt include the tournament fee. In addition to parking, entrance, and tournament fees, players are required to create a player Passport which costs $60.00.
The following quote is from the Passport website: βThe Passport is designed to transform the youth sports experience by archiving the player journey including verifying age and grade, tracking event participation, delivering real time stats, box scores and standings, showcasing achievements and storing pictures and videos.β
Unfortunately, our experience with the Passport was the same as the rest of the players on our team. The stats were very inaccurate and totally unreliable and only one of the promised services (age verification) was fulfilled. The Passport makes promises that are not kept.
Also, if you play for an out-of-state team keep in mind that the local and in-state teams will be heavily favored by the refereesβin the first half of our first game our team had 10 fouls and the local team had three, give me a break.
In summary, I was impressed with staff and facility, but you do not get what you (over) pay for and the referees are the worst Iβve seen, and Iβve seen a lot.

This place is absolutely phenomenal!!!! I came here for a basketball tournament in may, and everything was clean, and parking was pretty good for the most part. The food here is great as well. Probably one of the nicest basketball facilities Iβve been to. Love it here π―π―π―

5 Stars β Great Facility and Well-Run Tournament!
I recently spent time at Open Gym Premier in Ladera Ranch for a basketball tournament, and I was thoroughly impressed. The facility is clean, modern, and well-organizedβperfect for hosting competitive events. Courts were in great condition, and everything from game scheduling to crowd management was handled smoothly.
The staff kept things running on time and maintained a professional, friendly atmosphere throughout the day. Itβs clear they take pride in what they do. There was also plenty of space for players, coaches, and families to enjoy the experience without feeling overcrowded.
Overall, it was a well-executed tournament in a top-tier facility. Iβd definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality basketball venue in Southern California.

The Ladera facility thinks itβs appropriate to call an Uber for a ride to the emergency room for an injured visitor of this facility, someone who is bleeding and possibly suffering from a concussion has no business getting into an Uber and any business that conducts itself in this matter is reckless.

The courts are fine. The temp can get a little hot when it's packed. The worst part of this location is the price gouging. $20 to park every day when you're holding a tournament is rediculous especially when you know you're hosting out of state teams that don't have other options. Once you've paid parking you're stuck paying $25 a day for a game without the opportunity to get a weekend pass unless you were there day one. Give some consideration to the out of state teams coming to your location. And maybe offer a weekend pass on a Sat as well as a Friday.

The facility is my favorite of the many volleyball tournament locations we have visited. It is a smaller venue. There are nice dividers partitioning each court and each court has bleachers and padded chairs for spectators (you are not permitted to bring in chairs.) There is a large scoreboard for each court, so you always know the score.
They allow no food or outside beverages. There is a small snack bar offering limited items.
As of April 2024, the cost to park is $20 per car and entry is $20 per spectator. The parking is limited and there are signs posted at neighboring businesses that sport complex parking is prohibited and cars will be towed.

The courts at this facility are fine, however the price gouging is disgusting. Brought our team healthy snacks for between games and we were forced to sit outside in the rain to eat because they wanted us to purchase their food. Fried foods taking 30 min or more to prepare. Bottled water at $5.25! $25 to park, $20 to watch your kids play and $10 for young childrenβ¦
I actually witnessed them kicking a team out of their seating area because they were eating sandwhiches that werenβt purchased there. Greedy business at its finest!

The Open Gym in Ladera Ranch is the best volleyball facility in the SCVA League that I know of. On site parking, although expensive, air conditioning, proper screens between courts. Clean bathrooms that are maintained throughout the tournament, not just at the end of the day like some other nearby volleyball facilities that end up looking like a biohazard site by the end of the day. Parking was $20 and entry is $15 for adults, so kind of a rip off, but I guess they have to pay to maintain the facility! Some nearby markets and restaurants you can go to at the end of the day. A good spot we look forward to playing at!

Parking and admission for 2 people was $45 for one game! A rude white woman charging admission demanded "card only!" When I let her know only a few weeks earlier she refused my credit card, demanding "cash only." she yelled at me and said "this no cash policy had been a change for 2 months." She made me wait until my husband arrived from the long parking line with a credit card. This horrible rude poor excuse for a woman then accused my husband of lying about his age when he asked for a senior discount! No sign is posted with a senior age limit and most places give discounts for 60 not 65! I hope she just hates volunteering and actually isn't getting paid! Either way, what a terrible way to treat grandparents.

This used to be a favorable volleyball site venue. With management changes and gouging so prevalent. They raised entry fees to $15 per person and $20 to park. Even if you parked down the street at the overflow lot. The place was shoddy, to say the least. The courts were getting leaked upon. Two courts had to be shut down and teams were told to leave. The parents that drove down from Las Vegas were beyond hot. This places them in close running with everyone's favorite tournament venues 'momentous'

It was a horrible experience this weekend 9/3/22. The gym refused to lower the A/C (if they even used it at all!). Very unsafe for our players ages 9yrs and up. Management had the AC going downstairs where they were and gave everyone attitude when asked about the AC in the gym. The gym has proper HVAC but a lot of excuses weβre given on why they wouldnβt lower it to normal conditions. I do not recommend using this facility!!

Amazing facility for basketball and volleyball! So much attention to details with underground parking (keeps the car cool!) And a pretty good snack bar! Air conditioned, clearly marked courts, and games are streamed live using BallerTV (at least they have been for the 4 basketball tournaments we've been to). Plenty of space between courts for spectators/players to walk, and there are bleachers and cushioned seats. There is a fee for parking and admission (for tournaments), but this is the one location we don't mind paying for. It's worth it with the amenities and comfort (unlike other gyms that are hot and crowded with few food options and small restrooms). It's our favorite location for bball tournaments!

Came here Sunday to watch my niece play in her Championship Basketball Game. Had to Pay $15 per adult to get in and plus another $15 for parking SMH THAT IS RIDICULOUS. Very Crowded with little to no parking. Seem's like this place is taking advantage of people who just want to see their children play ball. The ref's were horrible. Just finished playing a basketball tournament here where the timekeepers had different rules of when they ran the clock versus stopping the clock and even the refs had different rules of when you went into bonus. There was very little consistency on the way each game was reffed and timed.
And then to pay $15 per adult per day plus $15 to pay on top of the tournament fee, seems overpriced for the quality we got.

First thing I noticed is the modern exterior. No other facility in SoCal has this. The parking fee and entry fee is absolutely worth it. The food prices arenβt cheap but also arenβt underpriced. 3 dollars for a gatorade isnβt bad. The courts have really good grip. Even in casual shoes I can still make a squeak. The rims are in top shape and the nets look like they are replaced every day. Love this place and would come again. Top competition aswell.

The facility is top-of-the-line I will give them that. Itβs very clean itβs very up-to-date. But I will say I felt very harassed by the staff. I walked in with my chair as I do to all tournaments and my son was actually holding the chair and some gentleman that was on the phone did a complete 360 to be very rude and tell my son to go put the chair back in the car. I got very offensive because no adult she speak to a child like that. Not even five minutes later someone else came up to me and told me to go put my chair in the car. I didnβt appreciate it because I was just told five minutes ago the chair was not out it was still in the bag and so I just felt very much harassed. Itβs bad enough that you have to pay $15 to park your car another $15 to watch your own child play but now to get harassed by a chair that wasnβt even out on the floor is absolutely ridiculous.

Over priced for what is offered. I've been around the game of basketball π for years and to have a $15 entry fee along with a $15 parking fee is unheard of for watching young kids that are in most cases still learning the game wasn't worth it. No social distancing observed and way to crowded. Snack bar food had limited choices and didn't even have popcorn. Also over priced. Will not be returning.
