By appointments only. Om Kutir's mission is to guide, educate & inspire people in the field of Yoga, Dance & Wellness through our in-person and online classes, programs & workshops. We believe in sharing yoga in it's most authentic & classical form and in giving an experience of the wonderful teachings of a traditional lineage. Our dance classes & workshops are deeply immersive, educating and fun where you will learn technique oriented combinations, foundational processes & choreographies; thereby encouraging performance skills, confidence & creativity.
We teach In-Person classes in Brentwood, Tri-Valley (San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton) and Fremont. We also have exceptionally effective & well structured live streaming/online classes.

Ankita is an amazing teacher, thoroughly enjoyed her 3-week dance Programme in Fremont last month! She comes well prepared with the choreo and the class sessions are well-organized. Loved her teaching style, her expressions and her elegance. The minor details she explains help perfect your moves!

I recently took a Bolly Jazz Funk class with Om Kutir's Ankita, and I can't recommend her enough. From the moment I walked in, her calm and composed demeanor set a welcoming atmosphere. She demonstrated incredible patience while explaining the steps, breaking down complex movements into manageable parts that made it easy to follow along.
Her teaching style is unique and engaging, and she encourages everyone to practice more by doing the same moves with us a few times.The way she mixes Bollywood flair with jazz funk creates a vibrant and fun environment that keeps you motivated. She is very kind and humble as well. Overall, her ability to connect with students and her clear instruction make her an outstanding instructor for anyone looking to learn or improve their dance skills. I left the class feeling inspired and excited to practice more! In fact I can't wait to try more of this ( bolly jazz) and other styles as well ( both non performance and performance based)

Ankita is a very dedicated yoga instructor and a passionate dance teacher.
Her energy and enthusiasm is just amazing and this quality of hers is imbibed in her students as well. My daughter and I have experienced it as students ourselves. She leaves that spark in her students that keeps them going with yoga and dance with the same energy till the class ends. Highly recommend trying out her classes and I am sure there won’t be any regrets.
She offers both online and in person sessions with same energy. A must try for all age groups.

For the first time , I tried semi classical in Fremont with Ankita. She taught us the techniques, musicality , bhavans,mudras , nazar and many more. It was a magical experience.
What I loved the most about Ankita is her passion towards teaching. She is an awesome dancer , one can watch her dance with her eyebrows , eyes , elegant steps and her resonant voice for hours . Its mesmerising . More than all this , I loved her as a soulful being. She is open to everyone's feelings . Always empathetic and compassionate.
In many instances , I have seen her soul shine , radiating energy in forms , which I cant write in words. One has to experience it.
After a couple of weeks , I tried her jazz workshop in a studio , which is close to Fremont and Milpitas. It was amazing. I couldnt believe what I was capable of. All credit to her - for her elaborate teaching and meticulous explaination of each and every step , as many times , to each and everyone who queried.
Learning dance was my childhood dream. With age and family commitment, I was worried that my dream will become unfilled. Thanks to Ankita and Lois for making this dream come true. I would also love to thank my dear friend Lois ( for taking care of my kids when I went to class), Sanketa( for teaching me dance steps), Shania ( my little friend who patiently practices with me) , Vandana (who inspires me to dance with her expressions and captivating eyes) and Priyadharshini (who patiently waits for me and gives a joyful ride to the workshop )
I am grateful to have known Ankita as a person and even more grateful to learn dance from her.

I have had the pleasure of attending Bolly Jazz and Semi classical dance classes at Om Kutir. It was not only a lot of fun, but I learnt so much! Ankita is a very knowledgeable, graceful and patient teacher. Her understanding and focus on the small nuances of the dance forms, and her passion for the art is immense. Ankita's OmKutir offers an exceptional yoga experience. Her classes are well-structured, starting with relaxation and meditation poses followed by physical challenges, ending with Savasana. The sequences she designs for every class are creative and diverse, keeping each session engaging. It never felt that I was repeating the same routine in every class. She has a remarkable ability to make complex poses accessible through clear, step-by-step instructions, which is incredibly helpful for both beginners and more advanced practitioners. During my initial classes, despite trying hard, I continued to face challenges in doing Shirshasana. Ankita broke down the pose into simple steps, repeatedly pointing out the mistakes I was making, until I managed to master the pose. Her personal attention and thoughtful adjustments ensure that each student feels supported and encouraged.

I am a Yoga practitioner at Om Kutir . It’s my 4th year with my guru Ankita and I have found my home I can proudly say that. I have tried yoga with several teachers also various styles of yoga and different forms of exercises too, but with Ankita, I feel complete. She has given me the direction I wanted in my life both mentally and physically. Even though I attend it virtually, it feels like she is right there for me.. she watches everyone and suggests the area of improvement. She tries to constantly push to improve our posture at the same time provides us leverage to be flexible with our practice depending on the way our body feels that day. I would say I am lucky to have found her as she has helped me find my spiritual path. I am dancer and yoga has helped me strengthen my posture and improve my strength to do the best in my dancing . I'm an online practitioner at Om Kutir for the past 2.6yrs. I did have some background and learnt yoga/pranayama in my 20's.
But when my friend introduced me to Ankita in 2022, Ankita had a detailed phone call with me learning about myself and my interests and how Yoga can help better my sedentary life working in the computer field. I initially doubted myself if I could manage online class as I'm used to in-person class in the past where my teacher used to correct my poses while doing. I connected with her in the trial class and was impressed with she conducted the class, how well she demonstrated, that it was so easy to follow her instructions. Except to see the demonstration of new asanas, until today, I would only listen and follow her voice/instructions in the class which I'm most comfortable doing.
It is all possible because, Ankita is a very warm, encouraging and passionate yoga teacher who teaches both yoga and pranayama in every class with at most sincerity.
From my experience, if you surrender yourself to your mat in the class, her instructions makes you both relaxing and at the same time encourages you to safely push limits. In every class, she constantly reminds us to listen to our body to do a safer practice because even for experienced practitioners the body may not cooperate on a particular day and she regularly reminds us to listen and accept that and practice accordingly.
During the class, she corrects postures on the spot and help us perform correctly even online. If you're open to share your ailments and seek advice, she remembers and promptly advises alternate poses or ask us to avoid certain poses in class so you don't hurt further and also recover faster. Sometimes, I push harder and hurt my limbs, when I reach out she takes the time to suggest counter poses to recover and make sure to follow up to know how I feel to ensure safer practice in the next class.
In every class, I've noticed her focus has been on how complete the class is on the whole than watching if the class time is over. If she needs another 5min to complete the routine she planned, she would be willingly ask the class to stay a little longer to complete but never closed/left incomplete.
I'm so glad my friend referred her to me and to be able to be a part of Om Kutir.
