We could not be more pleased with our experience at On Track Wellness. Our son has been taking youth marital arts and the level of coaching is well beyond what we expected. Absolutely fantastic. They instill important character values alongside the metal arts practice. They show a lot of patience while commanding respect. My daughter I really enjoy attending this gym. It’s very family friendly, and I appreciate the blended striking and grappling of the kid’s karate class. I attend the adult BJJ class. It’s very beginner friendly, and typically there is more than one coach per class, so you get a good of amount assistance and help during class to facilitate learning. I would 100% recommend.

Traditional Japanese Karate and Mixed Martial Arts with great instructors. I have been training with the Sensei of On Track Wellness for the last seven months. On Track Wellness has drastically improved my family’s lives over the last 3 years. Both of my young daughters participate in Karate, Brazilian jujitsu and some Judo too. Sensei Nate and Sensei Eric are patient, extremely knowledgeable and seasoned in their craft. They have led my girls to do incredible things. Both girls have conquered crippling fears of competing in front of judges at competitions. My eldest participates in the demo team that performed on the ice at a San Diego Gulls game. And will perform again at a San Diego Padres game. The benefits are endless- they have incredible workouts while simultaneously gaining leadership skills and self-discipline.
I hesitantly started going to the fitness classes about a year ago. I was completely intimidated, over weight and out of shape. I had a major surgery about 1.5 years ago. It stopped me dead in my tracks and absolutely killed my metabolism.
Slowly at first, but now surely, I’m excited to go and I never miss a workout. The fitness classes are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. They’re only 35 minutes long and you get a full body workout every time. Each day of the week has different weight training. And a new set of workouts happen each month. It’s never boring or monotonous. The best part is that Nate and Eric cap the classes at 8 people. Everyone gets to know each other and keep each other accountable. I’m almost 50 and I might be the strongest I’ve ever been. This place is amazing !

We LOVE this dojo so much and the community that is formed around it. We have been with On Track Wellness for just over a year and between my daughters and I, we spend several hours a week here, for martial arts and fitness classes. My oldest daughter started training karate after trying a free class, and then my younger daughter and myself joined as well.
They offer martial arts classes for kids and adults, and small group fitness classes for teens and adults.
Sensei Nate and Sensei Eric work with small and large groups, and do an amazing job seeing and meeting each student where they are at. They make expectations clear, give genuine encouragement and have an impressive amount of patience. They love what they do and take their own training as serious as they do their teaching the skills of martial arts to all who are in their classes. This dojo is always kept clean, organized, and fresh.
With the word of the month, they teach kids about values that will serve them throughout life, like integrity, perseverance and empathy, to name a few. Beyond learning awesome skills and pushing yourself physically, mentally and emotionally in a safe way, joining this dojo means becoming part of a community that want to see you win, on and off the mat, and that will offer a balance of accountability and encouragement to anyone who shows effort and a willingness to learn.
I have seen better focus and handling challenges in my youngest since training here. And for my oldest, going into her teenage years, I see her confidence increasing since training here. For myself, it’s a childhood-dream come true and I can’t thank Sensei Nate and Sensei Eric enough for the amazing program they run. Even this review doesn’t do it all justice.

We did an extensive search 15 months ago for the right gym for our 11 year old daughter who was interested in learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Nate, Eric, and the team at On Track Wellness (OTW) were laid back enough not to intimidate her, but rigorous enough to keep her on her toes. It was the perfect balance of care, support, encouragement, and challenge.
Since then, my daughter has pushed herself and grown immensely. She has learned so much and gained a lot of strength (both mentally and physically). The other students are equally supportive and motivating.
I like OTW not only because of its people, but also because it is a lovely facility that comes with a parking lot and other amenities in the neighboring buildings (restaurants, cafe, salon...). It is also located near Target, Home Depot, etc., so I can run some errands after I drop her off (if I'm not observing the class from the sidelines).
Overall, we are so happy we found OTW. Highly recommended!

This dojo is absolutely amazing! Sensei Nate and Eric are knowledgeable in their skillset and working with children. They teach in ways that are encouraging and positive while challenging children to grow and strengthen their minds and bodies. They have gone above and beyond to build rapport with my children. Karate has been a great activity for my son, and I have been impressed with the progress that he's made over just a few months with Sensei Eric.
Eric is super patient and keeps a class of young and easily-distracted kids moving in the right direction. I've been practicing karate myself for decades and know how hard it is to keep beginners, especially young children, engaged. Eric's classes have held my son's interest, and he looks forward to each one. After class, he's always excited to demonstrate what he's learned.
It may sound cliche, but it's true: karate is the perfect activity for teaching children the value of patience, hard work, respect, cooperation, and personal achievement. Eric's classes exemplify all of these values.

I love this gym!!! I have been at On Track for 6 years and I have had the best workouts compared to any of the other large mainstream gyms. On Track is like a boutique gym; catering to each individual. I have had many injuries which they helped me with individual workouts to work through my injuries and recover. They have small group classes where it feels like you have a personal trainer without the person trainer prices. If you truly want to get into shape ,have accountability, and not feel like a number, On Track Wellness is your gym.

As an adult woman with no prior martial art experience, I was very interested in starting Jiu Jitsu but was very intimidated by most gyms. I shopped around a bit and decided to start at OTW and now I can't imagine going anywhere else. I recommend them to everyone. The instructors are so welcoming, talented, and approachable and they set a wonderful tone of community as a whole. I truly felt welcomed into a family right away. They have everything a family needs in a gym. The small group training classes are great for every level. The trainers make sure form is correct and change moves if needed. I have trained martial since 2008. The instructors keep classes challenging, cover all aspects of martial arts and make it fun while teaching great technique. I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while- so here goes… when I signed my daughter up for martial arts about 4 years ago, I thought it would merely be a basic after school program she could go to for fun. Well, it has turned out to be so much more than that! In fact, recently she proclaimed that martial arts is her "passion".
Sensei Nate and Sensei Eric not only teach their students the physical skills of martial arts, but they also weave important life lessons and philosophies into their program. Hannah works hard every week and has shown incredible improvement in her physical strength and emotional growth.
The kids at the dojo are like a family- it’s amazing to see them encourage, mentor, and challenge one another. There are so many positive aspects to the experience provided at On Track Wellness. I can't recommend this dojo highly enough!

Absolutely the best experience we’ve had across the board. Extremely patient but purposeful, skilled coaching from Nate, Eric and Will. My son does karate and BJJ here and I started doing BJJ as well. The personalization and communication and family feel of this studio is so much better than our experience was at Victory and another studio back in the day. Class sizes are perfect for hands on attention and my sons disruptive issues at school have disappeared since he got into these disciplines. 4 classes a week for him now and one for me, so worth the time.

I've done a lot of morning fitness classes with both Nate & Eric and they are all amazing. Since the class sizes are kept small, you get a good amount of personal attention and they will help you make adjustments to make sure your form is just right. The 35 minute classes are great to get a solid workout before going to work.
I also just did a lifting training session with Nate. I tend to get a little stressed/anxious lifting in bigger gyms and this is a great way to build confidence with your lifts and push your limits with support from someone who can provide technical feedback and support. Very highly recommended if you get gym anxiety like I do!

I love this place! I’ve been exercising here for well over a year. I had taken a pause because of Covid during the surge in December and January. I skied often in January, but often felt tired and needed frequent breaks. In February, I resumed working out at OTW. Went skiing at the end of March, and wow. I had so much energy, and could ski all day on steep terrain for 6 days straight! The only thing I had changed was adding strength training to my routine. I could keep up with my kids. Highly recommend!

My 5 year old son wants to be a ninja warrior, so I took him to a complimentary 50 minute martial arts class for kids to see if he liked it. He frickin loved it! The instructor related very well to the age group, and walked my son thru every move and explained why each move was important. He also made the class fun and interesting. After the class my son said he wished the class was longer... i signed him up for the 2 days a week package which was priced well below many studios I have researched. I also signed myself up for the small gym that is attached to the martial arts area so I can get a workout in while my son is in his class. It couldn't have worked out better!... PS: the studio/gym was extremely clean and everyone practiced social distancing. Huge find!

Nate and Eric are amazing instructors. They have been coaching my 4 kids in martial arts for the last 3 years. My children have a lot of fun and beg to spend as much time in the studio as possible. But it's not just about the martial arts. Nate and Eric also work with them on life skills like being respectful, well-behaved, responsible, and kind to others. I've been starting 3-4 mornings a week with Nate at On Track for a couple/few years now. I wasn't able to maintain the same casual activity levels in my late 40's as I'd been able to in my 30's and was feeling it while playing in the ocean, on the snow or just chasing my now 7 year old boy. I"m both feeling better and in much better shape than at any time in at least 15 years now and my only regret is not starting sooner!
