Whim whamieee - body sore, I feel good but I think my teacher tried to kill meeeeee 😂
All jokes aside, I think I found my new spot for deep stretch's and a great workout. Took the FUBU Flow and had a GREAT time! Love the intentionality of curating an exclusively black space aaaand the commitment to inclusivity by allowing a sliding scale payment. Can't wait to come back!

This is a beautiful studio and the staff is so welcoming and attentive. The classes are fun and spiritual and I truly felt more connected after each time I went. I had some issues earlier this spring and they did everything they could to help me have the best yoga experience possible. I especially love Ken and Natalie classes, but everyone is excellent. I cannot wait to come to more classes when I return to LA in the winter.

I want to share my experience at this studio. I've been attending yoga classes for exactly one month. I have a medical condition and have had a lumbar hernia surgery. My first day of classes brought me fear, shame, and disappointment, but upon finishing my first class, I realized that I belong at this studio. Now I can say that I was reborn like a phoenix. My body has strengthened a lot, my back has improved greatly. I'm once again doing movements that would be normal for anyone, but for me, it's progress. In other words, I'm grateful for the patience, empathy, and commitment that this studio has put into my recovery. I am eternally grateful, and all I can do is recommend that you enroll at this studio. Finally, my thanks to Magnolia, my yoga teacher for my Sunday morning class. Thank you for believe in me and dedicating your time, patience, and kindness.

I love this studio so much. The staff is very welcoming. All teachers are amazing! They all are so different and yet each of them is very professional. They found their styles of teaching yoga and I guess it’s also a big studio’s merit to attract those unique professionals to the studio.
My personal favorites are Ken Jones and recently I tried and liked a lot a class with Courtney Sauls. Yoga can be fun with them!
Besides of that, the studio is very beautiful which is also important for the experience to be complete. I love it with my eyes and heart 👀🫀

One Down Dog Yoga studio in Los Angeles is a hidden gem that has completely transformed my yoga practice. From the moment I stepped into the studio, I was greeted with warmth and a sense of community that instantly put me at ease.
The instructors at One Down Dog are truly exceptional. They have a deep knowledge of yoga and a genuine passion for teaching. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, they provide clear guidance, individual attention, and modifications to suit every level. The classes are thoughtfully sequenced, incorporating a perfect balance of strength-building, flexibility, and mindfulness.
The studio itself is spacious and inviting, with a serene atmosphere that encourages focus and relaxation. The variety of class offerings is impressive, ranging from Vinyasa Flow to Restorative and everything in between. The schedule is flexible, accommodating even the busiest of lifestyles.
What sets One Down Dog apart is the sense of community it fosters. The staff and fellow yogis are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I've made lifelong friends through the studio's workshops and events. The sense of belonging and support is palpable, making every visit a truly enriching experience.
One Down Dog Yoga in Los Angeles is more than just a yoga studio; it's a sanctuary where you can nurture your mind, body, and spirit. If you're looking for a transformative yoga experience in a warm and inclusive environment, I wholeheartedly recommend One Down Dog.

I've been going to One Down Dog for almost 7 years. I feel so incredibly comfortable there. From day one this has been such an inviting and community driven studio. When they opened up the Echo Park location a couple years ago, it felt even more satisfying to practice yoga in such a beautiful space. The studio itself is full of personality but in a chill way. The front desk staff is always so sweet and I love being a regular. ODD Fam forever!

I discovered One Down Dog when their Echo Park location opened walking distance from my house and to say it was life changing is an understatement. The space, teachers, range of classes and over all community is incredible. When the pandemic hit and the classes moved to Zoom I swear it got me through 2020, being able to continue to take classes with the teachers I loved and who knew me, while getting to experience teachers whose schedules never aligned pre-pandemic, was a highlight. It kept me grounded and strong, both mentally and physically. I love One Down Dog so much and am so happy to be part of the ODD community. Big shout out to the whole team at One Down Dog.

I am fairly new to yoga and LOVE One Down. I joined in January 2020 (just before the pandemic hit) and even though I was a total beginner, I was welcomed by all. I love the diversity of members, and the way everyone made me feel welcome. There was never any pressure to dress like I work at an exclusive yoga boutique.
Sine the studios closed for COVID, ODD has offered a whole host of classes to attend (virtually) every day. And I love that the classes are live, not taped. Our instructors can actually interact with us in real time and give words of encouragement (or, as I Sometimes need, a slight correction). The instructors and the classes are so varied, but each is fantastic. I am so glad I found ODD and I recommend it to everyone - even those just starting out in yoga.

High quality, fun, and inspiring online yoga classes! I had practiced at ODD on and off pre-pandemic. When everything shut down in March 2020, I was running so often as a stress relief that I almost injured myself. I was so happy to re-discover ODD through their online offerings. They have a wonderful variety of classes. While each teacher puts their own unique spin on their class (including curating an amazing playlist you play on your own device during class) they all retain the same inclusive, welcoming, and warm vibe I remember dearly from in-person classes. If you are new, I recommend buying a monthly unlimited pass so you can sample a few different classes and teachers until you find the ones that you click with.

A friend told me about ODD a few years ago, and over time I’ve become a regular student. Yoga at ODD became the centerpiece to my workout routine (offsetting intense exercise like climbing and cycling). The variety of class offerings is better than any other studio in LA and I have had several teachers that are not just skilled, but also thoughtful, joyful, compassionate people that embody the spirit of ODD, making it so much more than just a yoga studio. The entire staff has fostered a beautiful community of diverse and mindful individuals. Plus, the music never disappoints. Love you ODD! <3

I have been taking classes at ODD (in person at the Eagle Rock location, and now at home) for about 4 years. Once Covid hit and my normal gym/workout routine completely changed, I found that ODD was a sanctuary for mind and body within my own home. I am so grateful for the sense of community this yoga studio provides, and the variety of classes is absolutely fantastic.

I joined ODD shortly after moving to LA from the east coast and immediately felt welcomed and a part of the community. Classes are largely great for every experience level (albeit you may have to put in some leg work to find the right instructors who fit your pace/vibe), but it’s little things like small business pop ups, charity raffles, pot lucks, and a cute little book trade/library that put this place over the edge. They take genuine human connection seriously, which is also reflected in their stellar customer service & communication. A true gem that’s helped make LA feel like my home since 2016.
It’s also worth noting that they have truly stepped up during the pandemic, offering online and outside courses as well as flexible fees and payment plans. Even mental wellness events to help keep everyone sane and connected. It’s been a total life saver during such an emotional rollercoaster of a year.

One Down Dog (ODD) is not only a wonderful yoga studio filled with exceptional teachers and an amazing staff, but it also is a beacon of light serving its surrounding community - be it Silver Lake, Echo Park, or Eagle Rock. Jessica Rosen, its founder and owner has created a unique and creative space to safely practice yoga, make new friends, and most of all - have fun!! I highly recommend this yoga studio!!

I've included part of my Yelp review from 2014 below. What I can add to it, now that I've been a member since they opened in 2013, is that I've never thought of not being a member. Even when the pandemic hit in March, 2020, they were online doing Zoom classes within a hot minute, and have since added additional yoga and fitness-type, classes, extended the schedule, and brought in new teachers and activities (themed yoga classes, story-telling sessions, a book club). One Down Dog is all about building community, and they've kept it going strong, in spite of not being able to come together in person at the three beautiful studios for nearly a year now.
From my Yelp review, 2014: ...So, the way they inspire me to practice yoga makes it a "whole person" workout: I leave each class feeling mentally, physically, and yes, spiritually uplifted and strengthened. I push myself to my own personal limits, and feel completely respected, and know that everyone else in class is doing and feeling the same. All the instructors I've practiced with have made me feel comfortable and have made a point to check in with any newbies, ask about injuries and preferences, and offer props and additional guidance as needed.
This studio aims to be part of the Silver Lake community and to build community, and they are doing it right, every day. There is a wide array of classes, slow to fast, restorative to aerobic, something to suit every need, and varied teacher personalities and styles as well: you seriously can't go wrong!
Also, the people at the front counter are unfailingly smiling, positive, and provide great customer service, whether you're asking about their classes, gear, nearby restaurants, or how to deal with your latest shoulder twinge. Jessica Rosen, the owner, is a gem. She totally gets customer service and what it is to BE of service.
As a person who had absolutely refused to pay for any type of gym/exercise plan for my entire adult life and who now willingly lets Jessica and her team tap into my credit card each month for these great classes, I wholeheartedly recommend One Down Dog. (See you on the mat!)

I found this studio when I lived in LA. I started taking classes in person a few times a week, everything from flow to sweat classes are a lot of fun and a good workout. Since the pandemic started, I've been doing virtual classes 3-5 times a week. They've helped keep my mood up and increased my fitness level, give the zoom classes a shot, you won't regret it! I particularly love Audrey Guedelekian's classes - a tough workout but totally worth the effort!

One of the saddest things about leaving Los Angeles a few years ago was not getting to take classes at One Down Dog anymore! I had only discovered them a few months before moving and loved their inclusive and fun teaching style, and enjoyed every teacher I encountered there! One of the only high points of this pandemic has been getting to re-join the community all the way from Minnesota and get back into a regular yoga and meditation practice. Their pivot to online has been amazing - same great teachers and energy, just from my living room. I recommend them to all my friends now, not just those in LA.

There is so much to love about this yoga studio! The entire staff is welcoming and positive. The instructors are knowledgable and supportive. I especially love the variety of classes. Their yoga inspired core and "SWEAT" classes keep things interesting. And they often have different promotions and packages with affordable options. Overall, I'd say that building community is their most impressive strength--from storytelling nights to book clubs--they care about their clients and have helped us through the lonely times of 2020. Thank you ODD Family!

I've been a student at One Down Dog for years. While I miss going to the studio in person (All 3 locations, but my favorite is Silverlake), the online classes over the past year have been fantastic, and the same amazing quality as the classes in the studio. I would vouch for every teacher, and with so many time slots , workshops (love the tarot ones!) and types of class offered, there's definitely something for everyone, regardless of what type of flow, workout, or restorative class you need. (And their pre/post natal classes are especially amazing!)

Love this place, the teachers, and staff AND the community they've cultivated! One Down Dog has been a mainstay the past few years IRL and, within the last year, via their online classes. They have class formats for everyone and offer workshops/events that range from yoga to astrology, foam/ball rolling, goal manifestation, and story "mic" nights.

Best on-line classes at all times of the day, and everyday of the week!! On-line workshops and a community support group once a week that is run by the owner, Jessica. The workshops are all great. During this crazy time, it’s been amazing being able to take classes with instructors who are streaming and interacting with all of us. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND One Down Dog

Beautiful studio in L.A. - very Professional and Unfortunately a Bit less Personal. Very powerful classes with upbeating music, even during Savasana. It you like your Yogaclasses this loud, its Perfect for you. Personally I prefer more „calmer“ style of yoga - But, as everyone is different: its worth a try. ✨👌🏽

One Down Dog and Molly O’Neill just finished a yoga retreat at our guest ranch, Dancing Spirit Ranch, and it was a great experience. I worked with Hallie leading up to the retreat, and the communication was easy and straightforward. We planned out a perfect fall retreat for their yogis. Once everyone arrived to the ranch, they were immediately relaxed and happy. The entire One Down Dog retreat crew was so friendly! Our staff loved everyone. Molly did a fabulous job leading the retreat, and she was great to work with. If you are looking for a retreat, it’s clear these guys know how to throw a good one.

I loved this studio immediately! The atmosphere is fun and funky, and I felt at home right from the start. The staff and instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to get to know you. And there are so many different class styles to choose from, offered at 3 convenient locations throughout the day everyday. I’ve been taking classes at this studio for months, and I’m still trying out new instructors and class styles. I’m super picky about my yoga, and I love everything about this place. And it’s local and woman owned, so you can feel good about giving this studio your support!

One of my favorite places in the world! An extremely welcoming studio with a diverse array of classs to help you grow your practice. The instructors are super talented and friendly, and the studio community sets a warm, family-like vibe. There are traditional flow classes and restorative classes, including meditation, but also more workout/fitness classes, including sweat and core, so you can pick and choose your vibe for the day. Highly, highly recommend.
(Of note- I was actually at the class the reviewer below me refers to. It’s one of my absolute favorites because of the super talented and kind Katherine Bradshaw, and the class is appropriately and very clearly titled “Sweat.” It’s a high energy group class that always has great turnout, and sometimes we encourage each other in class to stay strong through hard sequences- I have always felt so supported and encouraged).

Have you ever left in the middle of a yoga class because the instructor was JUST. THAT. UNBEARABLE? THIS YOGA STUDIO IS AWFUL specifically KATHERINE BRADSHAW’s class. I went to a class here with my girlfriend who had an ankle injury. We arrive at the class and take a spot in the back of the room because it was our first time. Immediately while setting up our yoga blocks and mats the instructor rudely called us out for being too far in the back and made us come to the very front row of the class. We thought “maybe she’s just welcoming us?” since it was our first time. This was not the case.
The techno music started which was a surprise and the class immediately felt far from yoga, and more the pace of an aerobic mixed with hyper-active ballet class on crack. My girlfriend couldn’t really perform the exercises at the pace of the class so she took it mostly easy. Upon the 100 jumping jack segment of the high anxiety inducing class, the teacher called out my girlfriend by saying “HEY RED TIGHTS MOVE!!!”
It was rude and humiliating because she made my girlfriend explain her injury in the middle of the class! Usually when we’ve gone to yoga classes at places around LA they ask at the beginning of the class if you have any injuries, rather than calling it out in front of everyone.
The managers at this place were incredibly apologetic and sympathized as we left the class.
This instructor however left a bad taste in my mouth - she was militant, rude, and not welcoming. We’ll be taking our FLOW ELSEWHERE.
