Opaka Method Pilates is a game changer. As I have aged and sit at a desk for work I have developed various aches and tight muscles. Jen has incorporated fascia release rolling with no impact Pilates. My body feels better since I started and I can see and feel the difference in strength. The studio is a comfortable, supportive and kind environment. Highly recommend!!

The Opaka Method has been inspiring and difficult at the same time. Jen Opaka challenges you to find strength and fitness levels you could not imagine before. For older folks like myself, it is a way to find a youthful self buried under a misunderstanding about what you can do. It is life affirming exercise.

AMAZING!!! After years of shoulder pain and tightness from surfing, the Opaka Method Pilates Studio in Ocean Beach completely changed the game for me. Through their customized bodywork and reformer Pilates sessions, my shoulder mobility is back to normal and I’m finally surfing pain-free again.
What sets Opaka apart is how personalized and science-based their approach is. it’s not your average Pilates class. The instructors actually understand movement patterns, recovery, and long-term mobility. I joined their monthly Opaka Method subscription so I can keep my body tuned up, surf stronger, and stay consistent with my fitness goals.
If you’re in OB or San Diego and want real results! Whether it’s injury recovery, mobility training, or total body transformation. Can’t recommend Opaka Method enough. Best Pilates and bodywork studio in Ocean Beach, hands down!

I would give the Opaka method 6 stars but it only allowed me 5. I love that the classes that I have attended (there have been many over the past 20 years) adapted to my level of ability and strength. They have increased when I am stronger and during times that I had issues, I was still able to work out and the program adapted to my needs. My goals have always been strength, mobility, balance and to allow my body to keep up with my mind. Thank you Jenn for striving to keep me in focus.

Love rolling on these balls. They help release any tightness or pains after sitting all day long on computer. I also recommended these to my family member who has sciatic nerve pain. He is feeling a lot better in just a couple weeks.

Jenn Opaka is an amazing teacher and she knows the human body. The truth is she doesn’t fix you; she teaches you to fix you. Her roll and release balls are amazing tools to help you do that. My private Roll and Release sessions with Jennifer Opaka helped me discover the amazing network of fascia in my body and to release tightness in many areas, particularly in my quads, glutes and feet. These balls of different sizes are the miracles created by Jen to open up knots in the body!
For the first time in my life I am releasing physical tension I could not get to through yoga or swimming. Jen prepared me for my left hip surgery, rehabilitated me, prepared me for right hip surgery, and is currently rehabilitating me.

Jenn is a force! Team Jenn will whip your body and mind in shape without you even knowing because her studio is so fun. I have been a client of hers for nearly 4 years and it is my go to place. Jenn has created a community and it has been my pleasure to become part of that community. Jenn and her trainers make everyone feel so welcome, truly have a passion for what they do, and will transform your body no matter where you are at in life. As much as I want to keep Opaka Method a secret, it should be shared with others. Just go, your body with thank you.

I stumbled upon the most delightful woman several years ago, Jennifer Opaka. I was experiencing severe back pain, going to yoga several times a week to keep myself moving. I attended a Roll and Release class working with Opaka Method rolling balls. While learning how to roll properly I noticed that my back pain had decreased a great deal. I had previously tried foam rollers, tennis balls and other massage techniques. None of the other ways kept my pain at bay for as long as the work I was doing with Opaka Method rolling balls. Now whenever my back is starting to get painful, I stop what I'm doing and just roll my back out it doesn't take long and its not bulky. I even travel with the ball on long plane rides to keep from getting back pain.
I have since had a fusion in my neck and used the balls for various neck pain during recovery. Jennifer Opaka, came to my PT in order to best understand what my body needed to heal. She began working with me 3 days a week through the pandemic via zoom to help get me moving again. I now have become even stronger than before the fusion and feel much better about mobility.
Opaka Method has staff who are knowledgeable about pre and post rehab of all types. They are patient and have an energy about them that makes you want to do better and get stronger.
I truly owe Opaka Method for helping me get mobility back the right way.
