Rob has an excellent understanding of the musculoskeletal system which allows him to craft specific, challenging exercises with pointers on where you want to focus in order to enhance stability. This is so important if you want to train hard AND also avoid injuries! He's a wealth of knowledge and very fun, friendly trainer!

Rob is very committed to his clients and makes our weekly workouts fun - there’s a good mix of familiar and new activities. The small group classes allow him to really get to know your problem areas, and he gives great tips and feedback on how to address them.
I love the community aspect to his workout groups as well. Knowing the people I’m working out with helps keep me accountable and committed. And I’ve met some great people in my neighborhood! I highly recommend Open Sky Fitness for anyone who wants a to develop a solid workout routine with a knowledgeable trainer.

Rob is the best. He completely transformed my body the year before my wedding. I looked and felt the best I had in my whole life. He knows so much about the body and how to not just strengthen it but heal it if that’s necessary. During the pandemic I had to stop because obviously and then I got preggers so 2.5 years later I am back in the gym and feeling better than ever. Also he’s a pretty incredible coffee roaster so if you’re nice maybe he’ll let you have a pre-work out cup :-)

I can’t say enough about Rob. Being a woman in her forties, working out consistently can be challenging. I started with Rob because I hit a plateau with weight loss, he got me to budge the scale and so much more. Rob has made this journey fun, and he has continued to motivate and support me for over a year. Rob has shown me that I am capable of doing things I never imagined I could do. I have been working with Rob, three or four days a week, for over a year now. He is awesome. Great, motivating, strong, well thought out, and planned workouts. Though I am now sixty, I am the most fit I have ever been, thanks to Rob’s direction. I came to Rob a few months back with a goal to improve my overall fitness, but more specifically, to become a better surfer. From the very first session, it was clear that Rob's expertise and motivating nature would be invaluable in helping me on this journey.
Rob took the time to understand my goals and concerns and has been able to tailor a workout plan that has been challenging, yet achievable and I feel more motivated about my fitness today than I have in many years. Never ever imagining that I would be someone to hire a personal trainer, Rob put me at ease immediately with his focus on physical health, close attention to any limitations or injuries, and the way your body works and functions. He always corrects form to make sure you're doing each exercise correctly. But most importantly, his knowledge of 80s music is decent enough, he's funny, and sports a hella mustache - what else could you want in a trainer?

I’ve been working out with Rob on and off for over a decade and he’s always kept me on my toes. When we first got together he helped me lose almost 25 pounds in about 20 weeks, never mind the muscle i put on in that time. He pays attention to my goals and my constraints and always puts together workouts that feel fresh and burn like hell. I couldn’t recommend him more.

You know those New Year's resolutions about getting healthy? Rob at Open Sky Fitness is the guy who helps you to keep them. He tailors each workout to your goals and needs, and inspires you to stick with it. Wanna use weights? He can do that. Wanna use bands? He can do that. I'm in my 40s and starting to realize that I'm at a turning point: I can have a healthy, active 50s OR I can start struggling to bend down and tie my shoe laces. I also have back and shoulder issues, and Rob works me through all the details, not only preventing injury during the workout, but guiding me to have the strength, stability, and flexibility so I won't injure myself in the future. I'm not sure I'll be able to play shortstop for the Dodgers any time soon, but with Rob's help, at least I won't throw out my back reaching for the remote control. Rob is friendly and funny, efficient with your time, and just an amazing trainer all around.

As a busy, multi-tasking single dad, I’ve learned to appreciate the importance of self-care. Aside from great doctors and an excellent massage therapist, I also prioritize having a EXCELLENT physical trainer to help stay healthy and to reduce stress.
Rob Dionne is one of those over-qualified and over educated and highly motivated trainers who truly cares about his clients. He pays close attention to my evolving health objectives, my evolving performance limits, and my “body awareness”, and designs ever-changing workouts which keep me interested, inspired, and feeling good.
