LOVE OTF! I've tried different workout classes and this is my fave. Love the variety in workouts. At this location, I love Joey and Kylie's classes! My hope is for more hip hop playlists!

Such a good 60 minute workout! You can push yourself at your own pace, you wear a heart rate monitor to see your stats during the workouts, and the coaches are amazing! They are my biggest cheerleaders!

I've been coming to this location on and off for a year or so. I typically go to the mission bay location but have been coming here recently. I've had a good experience with the coaches and staff. Like any OTF location, you might like some coaches more than others and some are more involved than others. There's plenty of parking here which is nice considering the mission bay location is difficult to park at. Some OTF locations have more amenities than others so bring your own towel to this location. I follow their Instagram account and I find it useful for seeing events for the month (benchmarks, challenges, etc).

I go to this orange theory fitness studio more than my home orange theory fitness studio. Coach Joey & Coach Rachael are fun coaches who keep things light & the class laughing. Every coach & front desk worker are extremely polite & always very welcoming.

I’ve been going to OTF Daly City for about a year and I’m hooked!
Clean studio, easy parking, friendly front of house staff, great owners, fabulous members, but really it’s all about the coaches!! 🧡 they are all skilled motivators and go out of their way to help you get the best workout possible! Much love to OTF DC!

I’ve been a member for 2 years and go 5x per week. Since joining, the management here has severely deteriorated. The owner lacks personal warmth or friendliness or desire to be flexible about rare late changes or cancellations. The front desk staff have been in constant turn over so no one ever knows what’s going on at the front. The amazing coaches (Joey, Lydia,Sarah) are the only reason I continue my membership and because of location on my way home from work. But I DO NOT RECOMMEND this studio. Look at all the recent reviews and get a clue. The owner here has ruined this studio. He’s all about money and not about personal friendly atmosphere. There’s posted flyers in the bathrooms to post a review so I’m posting this because today I called to move to a later ( less desirable) class in advance because of work schedule change and I’ve done this before and NEVER BEEN CHARGED but today I was immediately charged $14. There are so many half full classes now because the owner has created such negative atmosphere that has left a very distasteful environment in this studio.

I’ve been a member of Orangetheory Daly City for some time, and it’s incredibly disappointing to see how far this location has fallen. The energy and quality that once made this studio special are long gone.
The coaching staff who are clearly burnt out, lack enthusiasm and motivation to do their jobs. It’s obvious that they’re not reviewing the daily templates and instead focus their attention on a few familiar faces in class while the rest of us are left to figure things out. The workouts feel unstructured and disengaged.
The front desk staff also set the tone in the worst way possible usually seated, on their phones, or running out to grab coffee. I’ve never once seen them clean or actively support the studio environment. In one instance, a staff member even showed up 30 minutes late to a class yet as paying members, we get charged for being just a few minutes late or not showing up. The double standards are outrageous.
The studio itself is in terrible condition. Equipment is old and patched together with electrical tape. The floors, bathrooms, and even walls are filthy dust, dirt, and hair everywhere. It’s clear the studio hasn’t had a deep clean in months.
Management, ownership, and corporate have clearly checked out of this location. There’s zero accountability or care for the member experience. It’s honestly shocking that a brand with the reputation of Orangetheory would allow a studio like this to operate in such poor condition.
To anyone considering joining THINK TWICE!!! Your money is better spent elsewhere this studio is not delivering on the promise or standards of Orangetheory. I hope this review reaches the right people before more members are let down like I was.

Terrible management. Avoid this place and join South City instead. The issue is not the classes and definitely not the coaches (the coaches are what keeps this place afloat), it's management and customer service. The front desk staff is constantly leaving, a testament to management.
I've been a member of OTF since 2017. I have dealt with managers at three separate studios due to relocating and this is by far the worst managed studio in the Bay Area. l've even been to studios in New York, LA, Sacramento, Palm Springs and Mexico City- with no issues.
My husband had a horrific experience with Hunter, the regional manager, threatening to send him to collections over $30 due to a mistake on their end with his one month pass, or in the alternative, she would waive the fee only IF he agreed to extend his membership.
I'm an attorney and know that if Hunter, or other management have treated others the same, or continue to do so, it's only a matter of time before a lawsuit hits. The tactics used by Hunter are misleading, unnecessarily aggressive and threatening to the consumer, in violation of the Consumers Legal Remedies Act (CLRA) and the Business and Professions Code.
To make matters worse, when I asked to transfer my membership to a different location, due to relocation, my request was denied, simply because "we no longer do this at this studio". l asked for a copy of the contract or notice of the policy to the consumer, and was never replied to.
It's sad because this place had so much potential. The coaches are great, but my money is better invested at ANY other studio.

Seems like there was a bit of a mix-up with the system. I had paid $12 for an intro class to try out the gym after a really great phone call with one of the staff members.
When I arrived, I was told I’d actually need to pay $30 since I’d done an Orangetheory class at another location before. They refunded the $12 right away, which I appreciated.
I totally understand the policy, but it was a bit of a bummer—mainly because 1) the info I got on the phone wasn’t accurate, and 2) I ended up leaving without working out after making the effort to come in. I was actually excited with the idea to sign up for an unlimited membership, but the experience left me feeling a little discouraged.
Giving 2 stars because the facility looked nice and there’s lots of parking!

Terribly Run – Avoid at All Costs and Go to South City Instead
My experience at Orangetheory Daly City has been nothing short of a nightmare. After being wrongfully charged, the new manager, Hunter, not only refused to correct the issue but tried to scam me and even threatened to send me to collections until I was forced to take legal action to protect myself. Completely unacceptable.
The owner is just as unhelpful and unprofessional, and it shows in how poorly this studio is run. There’s been a high turnover of both staff and members lately, which says everything you need to know about the toxic environment. People are clearly leaving for a reason.
To make matters worse, they refused to allow my wife to transfer her membership to the South City location, a transfer we’ve been able to make in the past at other studios when relocating. The inconsistency and lack of support is frustrating.
On top of all that, their class schedule is extremely limited, and it’s almost impossible to book a class during peak hours without planning far in advance.
Save yourself the stress and headache and go to the South City OTF instead. The staff there is friendlier, more professional, and they don’t try to scam or intimidate their members. It’s a much better experience all around.

I left this Orangetheory location pretty upset with my experience and how I was treated.
I showed up 10 minutes early for class as it was my first class at this location and I had received a text the day prior that I needed to show up 10 minutes early for paperwork, etc.
When I got in there was only one person at the desk helping a woman already.
I waited for a moment before she told me to check on the tablet. Once I checked in I continued to wait patiently for her to finish up with the first person. Pretty much 10 minutes later I was able to tell her that it was my first class at this location. She went to tell the coach (Dawson) this and that was when the coach came out and told me that because class was starting I wasn't going to be allowed in.
I tried to explain that I'd been to Orangetheory before and I frequently do workout classes. The coach very rudely asked if I knew had to use a rower to which I replied yes. He told the front desk person to call the manager to see if I should be allowed into the class.
By the time the front desk was able to get the manager on the phone it was close to 15 minutes into the class. The manager agreed that it was just my first time at this location and even though I needed to do paperwork I should have been allowed in. They finally told me I could join the class but I had already missed the first 15 minutes and didn't really want to join after that coach's attitude.
Overall, just not a great experience and not very inviting or welcoming. I attend a lot of different workouts classes from F45, to yoga and have never had an experience like this.
There's other workout classes out there that are much more welcoming and helpful. I'm not sure I'll be back...

Came from out of state and wasn’t aware of the $10 surcharge. I got to the studio early like they said put my card on file and gave them my ID. I started my workout and the front desk person comes and tells me that I am going to be charged $10 surcharge because their studio is a higher tier than mine from the east coast. I had already started my workout so I wasn’t going to stop now, I expressed my concern to her and she said not to worry and that I can talk to the manager about this charge. She told me to call at 3 pm and I did. Manager was not there so I left my number and asked for a call back. Manager finally calls me back at 5 pm and states there’s nothing he can do about the charge. The app didn’t notify me when I signed up and neither did the OTF staff until after the workout already started. Very unprofessional and manager is very rude and no help. I will not be coming back to this studio. I don’t mind paying the $10 if I am atleast told in a timely manner. I will go the other San Fran locations over this one.

Orange theory is a great workout. I used to do this pre covid at a different location and loved it. I considered signing up again, but when I went to book an intro class, there were none available for the day I wanted. Ever since, I’ve been getting hounded with calls from them. I received 4 calls yesterday. I finally asked them to remove me from their call list bc it was a little ridiculous and extremely distracting while I’m at work. Fast forward to today, I’m still getting blown up by them. I finally had to block them. This really put me off from signing up again. Harassing potential members is never a way to get them to sign up

I tried different OT locations before and this one is by far my favorite.if you are edging towards that age where you don’t always need that loud EDM to get pumped or feel a coach is yelling at you like in an episode of South Park then this might just work out really well :) I always end up taking classes with jack because that’s just how timing works. His playlist is super awesome. It ranges from Latin music, pop, Britney encouragements and etc. I think my favorite thing so far is that they are really good about ensuring that masks are properly worn to ensure the safety of all the members during the work out. I hate to be that person that might end up on YouTube about a mask(obviously joking). But try this location. Check it out. I’m a chunky person who’s super out of shape and I actually survived and love it. So trust yourself and give it a shot. :)

Have tried to book a class in this place and is 1 star for me for being the most unwelcoming and high maintenance place. If you want to workout this place will not motivate you. The variety in the time schedule and getting into a class is beneficial to us-working moms. The facility is well maintained and very clean. For today, 1 star. I start on rower 11, move to floor 11 and final rotation, SOL, treadmill 11 is broken. How did it break middle of the class?? Stuck on the strider so I left class. Don't release 11 if treadmill if it's broken. If it broke in the previous class, figure it out before the next class starts. Very disruptive to my workout!!! And the staff at the front desk, are like deer in the headlights.

This studio is absolute garbage. I've been to many studios and this is by far the worst. They refuse to let you rent a heart rate monitor and their solution is: do the workout without it. I canceled my classpass membership to join orange theory after trying a class. I really love the different blocks they offer in the 60 minute period. A nice and challenging treadmill block of different speeds and inclines. The water rowers are my favorite, call me crazy but I can’t explain it. The weight lifting and toning area is a nice change of pace from the cardio in class yet still challenging and keep your HR up. I’ve been to a few different instructors classes (Ella, Lexus and Fonz) all of which I liked. They have different styles and they all work well with me and what I need. Honestly, OTF is one of the best memberships I’ve been a part of (out of Crossfit, Standard Gym, ClassPass) and I work from home so my schedule is pretty flexible for the most part. If I’m on a waitlist, I’m usually booked in the class within 12hours. I haven’t experienced challenges getting in a class I want but I’m not super particular.

This place is an operational mess and/or a scam.
I joined as a founding member before they opened. Big mistake. It's impossible to get into classes at times after work, and I've only been a couple times since the first pre-opening class.
The OTF website is disaster with poor user experience. When you sign on to the website to book classes, it looks like they are all available. But you that you don't find out a class is full until you actually click "Book A Class". The iPhone app is better though, but you still have to call locations directly to get on a waitlist at any location other than your primary.
I called the Colma location to complain and they didn't offer any help except to freeze my membership until they make it through their growing pains - and I still have to pay $15/mo for the freeze AND the $169 first month. The whole thing feels a bit scammy just to lock you in. I'm not new to this model; I also have a monthly unlimited membership at CorePower and it's the complete opposite of this mess.
Update: This just keeps getting worse. I cancelled my membership on 6/11, and followed their exact procedure to do so (30+ day notice, fill out form in-person). I called to confirm that I would NOT be billed again, after filling out the paperwork, and the Colma rep confirmed... yet another monthly charge just showed up on my credit card on 7/21!
I've also worked out at the San Jose (Rose Garden) location and it was a WAY better experience. The employees seem to know what is actually going on, the facility is much more spacious, and they even offer all sorts of cool activities outside of the studio. Too bad I live next to the awful Colma location.

Fyi, the booking system is not quite up and working yet. I've had some issues with the music (choice of and not loud enough, and for me, it's super important), and the Trainer talking too much and loudly (for me, the music is what gets me to push myself while on the treadmill and rower). Brandon is a great coach and seems to know what he is doing- I recommend him.
