This is an awesome OTF- especially since it has plenty of parking! My fave coach is coach Garmen! Garmen truly loves to push people’s limits especially when I would try and go light when she knew I could handle the 30-35lbs weights for lower body. You can tell Garmen loves her job and wants to keep everyone motivated compared some other coaches who are quiet or don’t feel as enthusiastic about your progress. Then there is Roxy & Cynthia at the front desk who are the most genuine and sweet ladies to welcome you through the door for your workout. Definitely recommend checking out this OTF & taking a class with Coach Garmen. Lisa is there on the weekends and is also so fun and highly motivating!

I love Orange Theory. It has been a game-changer for me. But over the past year, the equipment at this studio has gone from bad to worse and the owner seems completely unwilling to do a thing about it.
There are always at least one or two treadmills and/or rowers that are broken. And, some that aren't officially broken, stop/glitch-out mid-workout. Even the mats are original to the studio...in other words, at least four years old. And they look their age.
We have asked the owner to upgrade the equipment, but get no response. And I see from comments and responses here that he responds to every complaint with a generic "Gee, we do our best to make the experience wonderful...but maybe you should contact customer support..."
Honestly, if the studio staff (both front desk and trainers) weren't so great, we would all abandon this studio completely. As it is, we'd like the owner to actually invest in the equipment the studio needs.

The studio needs much upgrading and after many letters and attempts to the owner, we have not received any response! We continuously have broken equipment, which take forever to fix and waitlist for classes because equipment is OLD and breaks down frequently so stations are closed. We've tried to resolve this issue with the owner Gary Hirsch, sent him emails and letters collectively as members, and haven't heard back from him. Studios around the area have newer treadmills and weights, plus functioning rowers, yet we are stuck with super old equipment that are hazardous and stop working abruptly leading to possible injuries. Many people are cancelling their membership until the studio is upgraded. It's time to upgrade this studio asap!

As unfair as a two star rating seems, if anyone is interested in trying this gym out but you are closer to Glendale or Pasadena, I recommend you pass this gym up. The equipment is old and broken down. We are the smallest studio in the nation with the oldest equipment. The most we can have for a 3G is 30 people and there are always at least 2-4 machines not working which means 6-12 people can’t sign up.
As a group we have collectively sent emails and letters to the owner and complained to the coaches, to no avail. He didn’t even acknowledge the email. The lack of professionalism and customer service is glaring. Now, they will try to sell you a story that we are a newer gym and that’s the reason why, but we also have classes at capacity on a daily basis. How about you start to calculate the miles run on a tread and the rower?
All that being said, if it weren’t for Coach Lisa, Dalyn, Jake, Garmin and the front office staff, I would be looking to go elsewhere.
The equipment available to us should match the cost of being a member and it doesn’t. And if we get cancelled or can’t work out on a machine mid workout, which has happened, because it breaks down, we should be compensated the same $12 we get charged when we late cancel. It is sad that when we travel to OTF in other cities and states, we realize how neglected our tiny gym is. Gary Hirsch, Owner-DO BETTER.

Oh let me count the ways…
Cramped space - when the gym is full it’s hard to do some of the floor exercises because you are so conscious of bumping the person next to you.
Broken machines - …but wait, it’s never really full because there are ALWAYS one or two (sometimes 4+) machines down, limiting the amount of members per class and also creating long waitlists.
Facilities - The door separating front desk and gym is always busted, stucco has been peeling since the day I joined and machines are old. Just kinda shotty.
And yet when I ask for some leniency because my car broke down they have zero remorse. Won’t even answer the phone eventhough I’m calling 20 min before class.
I’m charged for every single little thing whether it be a band, a water, etc. and where does that money go? Definitely not to improve the facility.
I would make this one star but the staff and coaches are great, can’t say enough about them. But the minute a closer location opens up for me I’m out.

I’ve been going to OTF in La Cañada for 9 months now. The staff and coaches are all super nice and down to earth! The space is always super clean and organized. People of all ages and fitness levels feel welcome and cheered on. I didn’t expect to make friends going to OTF, but I did. I am grateful that OTF helped me take big strides to improve my physical and mental health.
I can easily say I love this OTF community.

I’ve been a member of OTF for a couple of months and didn’t know if you’re over five minutes late you can’t enter the class. I showed up six minutes late and the front desk staff would t let me in. I commute from Glendale so will try and not go to this location again.

I love this gym! OTF has been a game changer for both my mental and physical health. I actually look forward to working out because I know I'll be in a fun, clean and happy environment. The workouts are meant to be challenging, but you can go at your own pace and I never feel judged for making modifications. I'm so glad I found OTF LC!

Scheduled a Sunday morning workout while visiting Eagle Rock. Booked it a few days in advanced as was told the classes usually get full. Arrived about 20 minutes early to do the usual new studio paperwork.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had all the paperwork ready and was done within 5 minutes. Studio was clean and organized with standard treadmills, rowers, and floor weights. Worked out with Coach Danny who did a good job leading the class in a 3G format. I'll come here again when visiting Eagle Rock and La Canada.

They would not honour the first class free because I live in Sunland Tujunga even though they are the closest orange Fitness to my address. I feel discriminated against because of where I live. I did not join nor will I consider joining because of this customer service! I want to be at a gym where I feel welcome. Also there was no notification That I would have to pay for the class when I was making the appointment. I feel it was false advertising!

I’ve worked out my entire life and used heart rate monitors in my biking routines for years and I arrived here at 6:03am for a 6:30 first class and they wouldn’t let me take it because I was only 27 mins early and not 30. This place doesn’t want business.

Front desk staff at this OTF location are extremely rude, unfriendly, and not accommodating. They really don’t care about their customers. After showing up a few minutes late to class due to an accident on the freeway, they stood at the door with their arms crossed and refused to let me in to class. No one greeted me. No one asked me why I was late and if I was okay. When I started pleading with them to let me in and explaining why I was late, 2 front desk members quickly and rudely cut me off and repeated and aggressively stated “IT’S POLICY” and asked me to leave. Is this the kind of customer service you expect from a gym membership that costs almost $200 per month??!! Save yourself the drama and go to a different OTF location. Very disappointing.

Worst customer experience I have ever encountered. I was 5 minutes late to the introduction portion of my first class and my session was cancelled. The class doesn’t even start for another 25 minutes! Absolutely ridiculous.

OTF La Canada one of the best workout studios in the area. The front desk staff and coaches are incredible. They pay attention to detail and will support you during your fitness journey. It’s not for everyone but if you want a great work out in 55 minutes and awesome support staff please take a look.

I love my OrangeTheory membership and OTF La Canada is one of my favorite studios to visit!
As OTF La Canada is a newer site, all of their equipment is new, clean, and barely used. The rowers are equipped with digital monitors that provide you detailed insights on your progress and rows. They allow you to see your development over time in the app which isn't available in other studios without the rower monitors.
While not my home studio, OTFs coaches and front desk staff always make me feel welcomed. Unlike some other studios, every coach provides a personalized touch, knows your name, and pushes you to do your personal best. They have a warm and cheerful culture that makes every workout worth it!

I booked a class here. Following the policy listed on their website. Though I work in the area, they declined to accept my free trial. I assume that if I paid I would have been allowed to go. This is just really poor company policy and communication. Fix your website then.
