This location is excellent. The front desk staff is very kind and helpful, and I’ve been really impressed with the instructors, particularly Andra and Josh. The facility is always clean and the equipment is kept in great condition.

The classes offer a perfect mix of cardio and strength training, and the instructors are really good at keeping people motivated and engaged throughout the session. Orangetheory classes have honestly helped me stay in shape and it’s something I genuinely look forward to attending. Highly recommend this location!

This location is horrible! I should have paid attention to it's lower reviews than all the other Orangetheory locations before giving them a credit card. Beware.

Mountain View’s Orange Theory kills it again, adding another high energy, motivating coach to their location… Coach Payton! I really liked how he also personally connected with every member after class, checking in on our workout and complimenting great effort. Welcome to OTF!

I had a pretty bad experience as a first-timer at Orangetheory Mountain View. I arrived 10 minutes early, told the staff it was my first class, and asked if I could talk to the instructor about my physical condition. They told me she was busy and that I’d have to wait until class started.

Once class began, I tried to speak with the instructor Danielle, but she said she was already helping another first-timer. Honestly, I felt ignored the whole time while she assisted other people. She also mentioned that first-timers usually get an orientation, but since I booked through OpenPass, I didn’t get one. After class, I asked if there was any way I could still receive an orientation, and they said no because the instructor declined to do so.

Overall I found the instructor was pretty rude and unprofessional. Maybe they treated One Pass members differently, because they have no reason to sell me a membership. When I asked to speak with a manager after class, I was told they weren’t available, even though it was a weekday during business hours.

Overall, it was a really frustrating and unwelcoming first-timer experience.

There’s definitely a reason this location has such poor reviews. I’ve had some really disappointing experiences here.

I showed up just a couple minutes late, and by the time I set my bag in the locker and tied my shoes, I guess I was a few seconds past the 5-minute cutoff?! I even pointed out that it was still within the 5-minute window, but they just said, “You’re a couple seconds over, we can’t let you in.” Mind you, I had already checked in and written my name down before hand. This location is seriously inflexible.

I’ve been to this location three or four times total, and not once has anyone greeted me. I’ve been with OrangeTheory for a couple years now, and at every other location, the coaches will say good morning, hold the door, or at least acknowledge you when you walk in. But here? The staff just aren’t as friendly or welcoming and it honestly feels like they don’t really care about their members. Overall, it’s been a really disappointing experience, and I won’t be coming back.

The front desk staff is friendly, helpful, and cheerful. They did an excellent job connecting with me via text messages, providing clear information about the program, and giving me an informative tour when I arrived at the gym.

I've attended two classes so far, both coached by Danielle. She is knowledgeable, energetic, and respectful. I appreciate being able to work at my own pace while focusing on building strength and endurance. Danielle has provided valuable suggestions for improving posture and proper weightlifting techniques when needed. Her coaching approach reflects a genuine interest in helping people get the most out of each exercise while avoiding injury. Her frequent reminders to listen to our bodies during workouts are particularly helpful.

I also like the ability to monitor my heart rate and track my workout zones in real-time. This feature allows me to make adjustments throughout the exercise, ensuring that I'm not taking it too easy or pushing myself beyond my limits.

The gym's location is close to home and offers ample parking, making it convenient for me to get there without any hassle.

All the staff are super friendly and the coaches are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic!
Many of the complaints I read online are related to OT's policy, so I hope OT can fix those.
However, this studio is very well kept and provides an enjoyable experience!

Orange Theory is a great gym for group workout classes. It's HIIT 60 minute classes mainly targeting full body workouts. Been a otf member for more than 6 years and always had good coaches like Derek, George, Jayme and Rocky. However coaches like Danialle bring down otf's repute. She has a lot of attitude, isn't flexible with member's request and at various instances have seen her berate members. She is a horrible coach to have at otf.

Worst customer service. I went 5 mins late to a session and they didn't let me in even though the class was not full. Front desk staff is very rude and not helpful at all.

Also, you need to cancel 30 days in advance from your billing date otherwise they charge you for an additional month.

Reading other reviews I see a trend of the staff here refusing to be flexible, and that's been my experience as well. They are more interested in enforcing studio polices to the letter and nickle-and-diming you than providing customer service or working with you. Look at the ratings of other nearby OTF studios compared to this one.

The coaches and staff are so friendly, helpful and engaging. The workouts are fun (never thought I'd think a workout is fun), and have gotten me back in shape so quickly again. Worth every penny.

I really enjoy my workouts at OTF Mountain View! The studio manager, Sam, and the front staff, Josiel, Robbie, Serena, and Raul, make every visit special. Head coach Danielle, along with coaches Derek, Eddie, Rocky, and anyone I may have missed, truly bring out the best in everyone. They lead by example and create a positive atmosphere that’s perfect for getting fit and healthy. It’s not just about the exercise; it’s the energy and community here that make it a great place. Big thanks to the whole team for fostering such a welcoming environment.

The staff are not particularly friendly. I was misinformed about the membership. The person at the front desk - Valarina(?) Mentioned that I would get a $20 gift card up on signing up. She failed to keep up her words. I ended up joining a different OTF that has a brilliant, friendly, well informed staff. I definitely recommend OTF. BUT NOT THIS BRANCH.

There is a reason this place has a review of 3. I initially registered for their Elite program (8 sessions/month) but it didn’t work for me. When they interviewed me before my first class, I told these people that I have had a neck condition and slowly is going back to exercising.

After starting the classes I developed more neck soreness and figured out 8 session per month was not working for me, so I asked the front desk to downgrade my program to Basic (4 sessions/month) considering my condition. Their front desk told me the current membership cannot be changed, and from next month I can register for Basic program, although I could only attend 1 session/week.

The funny part was the coach confronting me saying that “we are here for people who are excited to be here”!!!
This is none of her business! She is not in a position to tell me if I should be excited or not!! Do your job instead of standing there judging me for not physically being able to do the class two times a week!!!!!

After this I asked them to cancel the whole thing, again they said I should give a 30-day notice and pay for two months before being able to cancel. Eventually I contacted the manager, she waived the second month charge for me, but did not refund me the initial membership. Technically I paid $150 for two sessions only!

This is an awful gym with zero consideration. You don’t wanna deal with these people. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place and its snobby personnel!

I really should have paid heed to the reviews before heading there. The front manager was super rude and turned me down for being only 20 min early to my first class and not 30 min. Are you kidding me? I drove 15 min to do a class and then drove back 15 min without actually doing the workout! I have been to OTF in Texas and so I am aware of how it works. But she didn’t care about that. I have tried several gym studios in the Bay Area and I have NEVER been turned down. This is ridiculous! I am not gonna waste 30 min extra trying to know the equipments I already know!

Absolutely worst Manager of all orangeTheory branches Verania. Please escalate this horrible person to upper management. I’m regular at OrangeTheory and i had to skip one lift45 class due to my periods a couple of hours before class and I called orange theory to inform about this emergency and Verania was nothing but inconsiderate and rude. They will penalize you for missing a class even if you get periods last minute.

In the past this same person wouldn’t let me attend the lift45 class even though there was space because i was waitlisted. She told me to book this class in advance and now they are reinforcing their 8 hours police even for emergencies like this. Shame on you OrangeTheory and Verania this is such an inhumane act being a woman yourself.

The staff here is incredibly rude and not helpful. The wearable that I was told to buy for class 2 months ago was not working, and they were not at all helpful in trying to help. Basically told me it was a problem with my body weight or I needed to buy a new one. I test wearables as a part of my research so I tried to get them to explain in detail what needed to be done to make the device work and they basically told me they would “look into it”. Super vague without any follow up plan. Basically they don’t care once you have signed. They were also not upfront with their 30 day cancellation policy and I am paying an extra month despite leaving the country.

Orangetheory transformed my body! I love the Mountain View location since all the machines are brand new. Alexis at the front desk is the sweetest and provides excellent customer service. I love taking classes with coach Timothy. His energy is so positive!!

The classes are HIIT and incorporate weight lifting, treadmills and rowing. Each workout is unique and the workouts don’t repeat. The studio plays top hit music and pop songs. You leave ur phone in the locker and the coaches guide you the whole way through. They are helpful and correct your form. I highly recommend Orangetheory for getting stronger and more toned!! It’s so much fun!

I’m surprised by the negative reviews. I’ve been going since they opened in early 2022 and have had nothing but positive experiences, with the staff and the facility. I’ve also been to a handful of other locations and this is my favorite.

Also, the late and cancellation policies are part of the standard OTF contract (and would be the same at any studio), so those complaints shouldn’t be held against this specific studio.

Very inflexible with the transfer policies and lots of hidden charges. i recently moved from phoenix to CA. They position orange theory fitness as having multiple branches and the possibility to take classes across different locations. But in reality, there are a lot of hidden charges- $12 to book a class outside your home studio, a 30 day notice for cancellation- which implies you end up paying for a month more than your earlier cancellation date. Absolutely preposterous!

Started attending Orange Theory during their soft opening and I have not regretted a class this far! The coaches, especially Coach Eddie, keep you motivated and encouraged throughout your entire workout. The staff is very friendly and always their to answer your questions or concerns. Class sizes depend on the days but overall you have enough space. Highly recommend showing up at least 10 minutes before class starts so you have time to check in and put your things away.

Having been a member for over a month now I’ve enjoyed my morning classes and I am excited to see that the schedule for classes is opening up as the time goes. I must add that this is the only studio I’ve had the pleasure of working out of with all the newer technology.

If you have any questions or concerns Bridgette the studio manager is so kind and friendly. Check the studio out for yourself!

In terms of equipment, this Orangetheory is one of the best in the Bay Area and it didn't feel more or less spacious than the other locations I've been to. All of their equipment is brand new and gives you better statistics than any other studio because it has the latest technology integrated into the rowing machines as well. Parking isn't bad because there is a lot close by and the staff has always been friendly to me! I saw that there were some bad reviews for this location but I've always had a positive experience and the coaching staff is awesome. They are strict about not allowing anyone in if they are more than 5 minutes late to class which can be very frustrating if you miss it quickly but they do let you know about the policy beforehand and that's something to consider if you have a tight schedule because it's better to try and get there a few minutes before class to get your position situated and all your things put in a locker. Overall, if you're an OTF member, I would highly recommend checking out this location if you haven't already!

As a physician, I know whether I am safely warmed up to be able to exercise. Because I had to use my very limited time to take my child to a dentist appointment and then there was no parking around the studio, I was 6 minutes late to the class I had been looking forward to all week and was not allowed to enter despite there being only 9 people in the class.

Shame on you for treating us like children and not trusting us to pace ourselves in your workout. I had recruited a friend to join the class, and was unable to work out with her as well. This was a complete waste of my time and money. I vehemently encourage you to change this policy, or I may be forced to cancel my founding membership.

The workouts are excellent but the policies are moronic. If we are healthy enough to manage a strenuous workout, we are healthy enough to work in a warmup (or perhaps don’t need to after running to get to the studio).
