Orange theory is one of the best workouts you will ever get. The workouts are split between cardio and strength and have fantastic coaches that encourage you to do your best. During COVID I took a long break from working out and finally started getting back into it. Since I am a little over 70 I was a little concerned if it was going to be too intense or not. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. My concerns quickly dissolved and I found myself really pushing myself. It was so much fun, I am definitely coming back.

I love this gym, the only gym that actually made me start training.
Iβm quite lazy person and had no idea how to train and getting up to go to the gym to do god know what wasnβt really effective.
So i gave orange theory a chance and iβve been training every other day for the past 4 months , and iβm so happy to see results, i get even more motivated to go to the gym now.
Stuff and trainers are great as well. Couldnβt recommend more

So far these classes have been very efficient and motivating! The space is great and all of the coaches are incredible. It has been the only studio that I have been consistent and feel the most energized post workout. Iβve tried several locations and all have been amazing!

You book a class, wear your workout clothes, come to the class, and do your best to what the coach demonstrates.
You don't have to think hard to get your workout done.
It's somewhat in-between private coaches and free-roaming gym. Kinda reminds me of PE class with the nicest teacher you can imagine.
If you're a hardcore and know exactly what you need to do, this place isn't for you. But for the rest of us, even if you have mobility issues, coaches can prescribe exercises for you.

I absolutely love this gym! I'm not someone who can find motivation to just get up and go, let alone someone who can put together their own workouts! I've loved all the coaches I've done classes with so far, my favorites being Danielle and Shaina. The front desk people are always SO nice and super helpful. Make sure to keep an eye on the in-studio calendar for monthly events like the 500m row or the Catch Me If You Can!

I've been working out here consistently for about five months and I absolutely love it! First of all...I don't run...so if you think that running is a requirement...it's not. I'm a power- walker and I get a great workout every time. The workouts are challenging but fun and I've really improved my strength and overall health tremendously. I'm a woman in my 40s so that's really saying something.
The front desk staff is LOVELY. I come in the mornings and am always welcomed by Brady and Trinity at the front desk. They are helpful, patient, and informative.
The coaches are also awesome. Both Jacob and Sean coach really fun, high paced classes. They use humor, big energy, and a wide variety of music to really get you moving. Jeremy is a true gem of a coach. He is encouraging and clearly and gently corrects your form if it's off. Julie is so welcoming and approachable. She gets to know you and your challenges. Her class would be perfect for a first timer. I also enjoy Christie and Shaina's classes. They offer clear instruction and play infectious music. I've never taken Mikey's class. I'm sure it's great too. You really can't go wrong.
All ages and sizes will feel welcome here. If you are looking to make a change to your health, this is the place.

I love the entire vibe of Orange Theory. I've been going to classes here for a year and always recommend it to friends who are trying to get fit. The studio that I go to has the nicest coaching staff and they really make you feel supported throughout the whole workout. I've made so many friends in our early morning classes, it really feels like a community.

I really like the Orangetheory workout classes. The classes are generally divided into two groups. You can choose whether to start with the rowers and weight floor or with the treadmills.
Generally, rowing is combined with weight training or body weight exercises. Sometimes the weight training is combined with the treadmill.
The goal is to spend 12 to 20 minutes with your heart rate elevated in βThe Orange Zoneβ to boost your metabolism and fitness. You can buy high intensity, interval, training, weight, or body, weight training, and endurance training.
Every class is different from day to day, but OT does have themes. For example, in March endurance training is taking the lead.
The classes are high energy, but you can go at your own pace. Some people walk on the treadmills and try to increase the incline of the treadmill to get fitter.
I usually go to the Orangetheory in Woodland Hills because itβs near my home and office. All the employees there are very very nice. I have trained with Coach Julie, Coach Jeremy, and Coach Christie the most. All of the coaches I have had have been very knowledgeable, nice and high energy. They usually have a playlist thatβs fun. I think each coach gets to pick their own music.

My two favorite trainers are Julie and Sean. Julie really takes her time to check everyone is doing the workouts correctly to avoid injuries and Sean has the best vibes with his playlist and energy. I haven't tried any other studio but I like this one a lot.

I am a huge fan of Orange Theory Fitness, and I especially love that I can get a consistent workout anywhere in the country while traveling for work.
This is the first gym that has said I have to pay $10/workout above and beyond my Unlimited Monthly Plan, because this is "not my home gym". I live in OH and my company home office is in Woodland Hills, so now I can't workout near my office. I'm so disappointed in Orange Theory, this is not what was represented by the Unlimited Plan.

I really liked this workout, but not so much time after the operation, and the trainer wanted me to work actively. It was frustrating that I paid for the 2nd class, and my health became bad after the first, but I was told that if I did not use the second class in a week, it would burn out. I wrote about my situation and I am offended and consider it unfair.

Iβve been going to OTF at Woodland Hills for 3 months now and itβs been such a great investment. This is the most consistent Iβve ever been in terms of working out. I have so much more energy and I leave each class in such a great mood. Best of all, my max heart rate increased, so I know I'm already stronger. When I first started, my heart rate would shoot up into the orange and red zones right away, but now Iβm able to maintain being in the βgreen zoneβ longer, even as I pick up the pace or increase incline on the treadmills. Itβs less splat points, but I know Iβm healthier for it.
I canβt recommend investing in OTF enough. You simply have to show up, and the coaches will guide you through the rest. No more planning your own workouts, scrolling Pinterest for a good routine, mentally fighting yourself to get to the gym, wondering if what youβre doing is working, etc. There are some days when I feel like a zombie from work and the last thing I want to do is workout, but then I just show up and the team here helps me build the momentum. If you βoutsourceβ one thing in your weekly routine, make it this!
Lastly, the coaches and reception team are fantastic. They make an effort to remember your name, help you improve your form, and they all have great taste in workout music. They even remember what number treadmill I always use. I always go to Sara, Ivan, Kaymi and Jacobβs classes. They bring so much energy and are all phenomenal coaches. I probably never go back to a regular gym.

This used to be my favorite place to work out. Unfortunately, the new owner (Matt) is not willing to make accommodations for medical needs. I was hoping to be "allowed" to use the elliptical machine instead of the rower, which was causing pain due to past medical issues. The owner only gave me the option to use a medical ball, while the elliptical machine sat unused. I don't want to be forced to or told what to do (I get enough of that in my life). Working out is a place to relieve stress. I'm not sure why simple accommodations could not be made. Additionally, when I went to a different Orangetheory in Agoura Hills, the same owner (Matt) showed up there during my time. Not sure if it was accidental, but he had a huge smile on his face and said "hi" a little too enthusiastically; as if he was enjoying making me uncomfortable. It felt like he was stalking me, it was very strange. He even took my class after I clearly stated that he made me feel uncomfortable. He worked out in my same session... Super creepy! Anyways, I joined F45- a slightly better deal and they make whatever accommodations I need. Also... no stalker vibes. Women, beware.... hopefully you won't rub him the wrong way as I apparently did. For the very reason of not supporting a clearly chauvinistic owner and corporate controlled atmosphere... do yourself a favor and support another company.

My rating is not a reflection of the coaches. I have had the pleasure of taking a class with almost every single one as of now and theyβre all great.
The rating of three stars if based on management. They are so hard to reach and the email I was provided with is not accurate as I got a βbounce backβ each time I tried to reach them.
I am considering attending the one in Sherman Oaks at this point or even cancel. There are so many options out there these days.

So I have such a love hate relationship with this location as I love coming here and when covid hit and they had to shut their doors I was very sad.
As soon as they opened and I was able to do outdoor workouts I signed up, yes I was one of the crazy ones who came and did workouts outside and the classes were very small and often times not filled.
When they opened back up and had us wearing masks, I still came...support the locals has always been my mantra. When I got very sick and uncertain if I had covid, I cancelled the membership to make sure I didn't spread any germs. Today the club is full, over booked again and things are back to "normal".
With the holiday schedule, I wanted to see when I would be working out and how many classes I would have left only to see that I was charged for a class from last Thursday, 5 days ago. That class I cancelled on the app when I got to work at 7:30 am so today I questioned what the timeline for cancelling classes was, as of today it's 8 hours putting me at 3:30 for the cancellation. I asked that the class be refunded and was told that "it must be a glitch, next time screen shot it"...REALLY??? Then I was told "we already closed out last week so we are uncertain if we can do anything, we will have to speak with the owner. 30 minutes later I got a text that there is nothing they can do.

It can be a struggle to stay in motion and not give up easily when working out alone and the OTF process makes sustaining an hour long workout bearable because coaches count you down through the exercise challenges and mentally prep you for the next challenge circuit.
All you have to do is show up and the coaches ease you into the exercise blocks and count you down so you are working continuously towards that finish line without feeling overwhelmed. The coaches are integral to the process. Their energy and communication throughout the exercise blocks is what helps to drive you towards the goal of not giving up. Shoutout Coach Vic!
The clean workout environment and heart-rate monitoring tools utilizing the βbase, push & all outβ segments are also motivating, fun, and help take your mind off the task because it visually pushes you to push yourself throughout your workout. Thatβs the type of training and coaching that keeps me going. It makes the workout bearable, especially in the beginning!

I have been a Premiere member of OTF since 2016 and love the workout! I was a HUGE fan of the Woodland Hills studio until yesterday. I was informed through another member that an email went out that there had been a confirmed case of exposure to someone who had tested positive for COVID-19. When I searched my inbox, I discovered it went to my SPAM folder and was sent on Friday 7/10 at 8:33 AM. After doing some additional research I recalled that members of the staff had attended a birthday party earlier in the week (Wednesday 7/8) without face coverings and did not practice any form of social distancing while in direct contact with another staff member whom was in attendance without a face covering and believed to be an individual who had tested positive for COVID.
I was not notified by phone nor when I entered the building and attended class at 8:45 AM that there was a confirmed case / contact within the organization. Two of the staff members (one whom checked me in) in attendance of the party and in very close proximity to the individual believed to have tested positive were both AT WORK on Friday 7/10.
I have a newborn at home and was blown away that a health organization whom is one of the highest risk businesses for COVID transmission would still permit employees whom they knew were in contact with a COVID positive individual (via the multitude of social media posts made) report to work.
When I wrote to the Studio Manager NJ and the Franchisee Ginger, I received a call from another Franchisee Lisa Birer whom was dismissive of my concerns, insisted they responded correctly, and blatantly lied to me about their email and knowledge of the birthday party attendees and allowing them to continue to report to work. In fact she tried to tell me that the email was actually related to an event a week prior, which made no sense given the timeline.
Because of this suspicion, I reached out to OTF staff after the call with Lisa to check out her "facts" and my suspicion she was lying and trying to cover her tracks was confirmed. They knew about the party, those in attendance, their exposure, and allowed them to report to work anyway. They did not notify the members whom were enrolled in classes the next day (Thursday 7/9), they did not shut down the studio for deep cleaning / sanitizing, and they did not advise the staff that had been in contact to self-quarantine as instructed by LA County Public Health and the CDC which is a direct violation of California Labor Laws that mandate providing a healthy and safe work environment.
Lastly, I was also informed that they have had 4 employees confirm they have tested positive for COVID in the past 2 weeks and 1 member. They are required to report 3 or more confirmed cases within 14 days to the Department of Public Health. To my knowledge they have not.
I would HIGHLY recommend any and all members cease putting your health in their hands. I LOVE OTF and am NOT advocating against the corporation, but I am advocating against this Franchise and have filed a complaint with the Public Health Department and contacted OTF Corporate CEO David Long.
As someone who runs a business and is very informed on the protocols regarding COVID, I know it is reckless and unacceptable with how they have chosen to handle this. NO ONE SHOULD PUT PROFIT BEFORE PEOPLE.

I love OTF. I used to go to the one in Northrdige but had to quit a while back. In that time Woodland Hills opened up which is a lot easier for me to get to. So far I've had a great reintroduction. I haven't had a terrible time getting in to classes and I even go to go to a special Sunday session featuring an all Lizzo playlist.

I like that I can train my entire body and get a really amazing workout. Orangetheory has changed my life. I work in a very physical job that always kept me making excuses to make the time for myself. I heard so many great things about this place and finally signed up for a trial. It has helped me to improve my energy level, feel stronger, and give myself that me time that I needed to balance out my stressful job. The workouts are always different, you can make it harder/easier if needed, and the coaches are so knowledgeable about modifications for injuries. The Woodland Hills coaches are SO friendly and encouraging especially when you are starting out. It can be a bit overwhelming to understand all the lingo of the workout, but asking your neighbor is an option and everyone helps each other. Overall this is the first place I have joined and stayed on a consistent schedule for the first time in LA in 13 years.

This is the best workout by far. The classes are always different , the teachers are terrific and the monitor makes it fun to see your results! Also the studio is clean which is always another plus - I highly, highly recommend Orange Theory!!

Awesome workout! Everyone works at their own pace whether you're a walker, jogger or runner. It's really a great place for anyone. High fives all around, and you can feel the energy all around. Staff is really nice, positive, encouraging and helpful.

I love the fact that the coach is so skilled as to be able to immediately accommodate alternative exercises if one is not suitable depending on a physical condition. Itβs great to be able to still perform a full workout with these accommodations and understanding.

OT is amazing! I love how the coach pushes me to do my best. I love that I can see my zones through my heart rate monitor. I love the competition aspect in some of the partner classes. I love the variety in the workouts; I've never had the same routine twice!
