I go to this CrossFit location once a year for big CrossFit events. The coaches and the entire CrossFit industry inspire me.

Outlier is a must join! Great space where you’re supported regardless of experience. Listen, is it challenging? Yes, but you will come out stronger in every sense of the word. The coaches and people that frequent the gym are wonderful. I was new. I felt encouraged and supported. Don’t give up if it’s too tough, I promise it will get easier.

Exceptionally good Crossfit gym. The coaches are extremely nice and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed and a part of the community they built.

I had never done Crossfit before joining Outlier and they got me up to speed quickly. They also worked with me to scale the workout to my level.

The gym is huge and has good equipment.

I'd recommend Outlier to anyone who needs a good gym in the area.

Been going here for just over a year now. First gym that I’ve gone to in a long time where I have absolutely no complaints.

The coaches are great. They first and foremost make sure you don’t have any injuries they should be aware of, and then they make sure to walk through each movement that will be in the workout that day. They’ll also come around multiple times throughout the workout to watch how you’re doing and correct your form if needed.

All skill levels are welcome. They’ll have scaling options for every workout so that you can join in no matter where you’re at fitness-level wise. The other members are all super friendly. It’s not a CrossFit gym with cliquey groups of people. The programming is great. The space is large. Tons of equipment. Parking is easy. Price is good.

You should come check it out!

This place is amazing. if you like a sense of community look no further, this is than a gun, it’s an experience. Ample equipment, high ceilings, rollup, doors of fresh air, indoor outdoor facilities, and motivating competitions. Excellent location with plenty of parking. Location; Mission Gorge. Bonus: they have a kids room care option while you workout!

Love the space here. Jeremy and team and really friendly and the CrossFit community really caters to everyone! My first introduction to CrossFit was here and now when I'm back in town I try to drop in.

We dropped-in when visiting the area and had a great class. Coach Lygia was awesome, really enjoyed her class and coaching. They have a huge space that’s very nice with a lot of equipment. If we’re ever back in the area we’d definitely visit again.

I have nothing but praise for Outlier CrossFit. I was an out of shape 63 year old and joined the Legends class almost a year ago. It was tough...and still is, but in a good way. Although I still have a ways to go, I feel so much better and am stronger and have better endurance by far than I did a year ago. Our coach Nuno (and Abdul on Mondays) are great. They are quick to come up with alternate workouts if someone has an injury or other situation.

I started my CrossFit journey at Outlier and have been going for about a year now. The gym is great. The coaches are great and have helped me progress, building skill, fitness, and strength. I really appreciate the quality of the workouts and overall programming. It pushes you, but is not some crazy niche group that is hard to get into (which I was worried about as a CrossFit noob). If you are thinking about trying CrossFit or are coming back, this gym (and the coaches and members) are a great fit.

Left after 1 month. Told the owner and instructors that I have injuries that will require me to manipulate or completely change certain movements. Was told that it wouldn't be a problem. It quickly became a problem for them, and was told that the safe movements I was doing weren't safe. They obviously don't understand how to body actually works.

The best CrossFit and weightlifting gym in San Diego! The coaches are extremely welcoming, encouraging, and provide great feedback and cues. In addition to classes, you can also do your own training in the "Hall of Gains." Whether you're looking for a new home gym or just dropping in, Outlier is hands down the best choice in San Diego!

Amazing gym, awesome people, great coaches, fun events. A really good range of fitness levels and overall positive, welcoming vibe. Pretty open scheduling availability, if you're brand new to CrossFit, come in and talk to a coach. :D

Outlier was the first CrossFit gym I’d ever visited and til this day has been my favorite still. Abdul was my favorite instructor and was very invested in making sure everyone’s form (especially mine since I was new to CF) was squared away. I wish that I lived in San Diego so that this could be my gym. Such a great place here. Highly recommend to anyone whether new or old to CF!

I've been a member of 7 different gyms and Outlier is one of the best. Jeremy the owner is a solid guy, and leadership trickles from the top down. The coaches are knowledgeable and fun and the entire community was super welcoming since I walked through the door on my first day. I love the culture they've created here, definitely represents what the true spirit of CrossFit is all about. Plus the programming is great (and I'm hard to please with programming). Epic gym all around!

Amazing gym. The community is welcoming, the space has everything you need, Jeremy's programming is excellent! Lots of people stop by to try this place out when looking for a gym and many come back after their trial period. Lots of members have been here for years. If that doesn't say how good this gym is I don't know what does.

This is a top-notch CrossFit gym that goes above and beyond for its members. The owner (Jeremy) puts a lot of love and care into this facility and it shows. The gym is huge and open, has well maintained equipment, and the coaches know their stuff! If you are new to CrossFit or a seasoned professional, recommend you check this place out.

I moved to San Diego in June. In an attempt to find a new “home” gym I visited three other boxes besides Outlier. After visiting other places I chose Outlier. The facility had plenty of room, it is clean, and Jeremy was very accommodating and ensured I was comfortable during my trial. I am glad I chose Outlier and look forward to settling into the gym!
