My kinda gym, plenty of equipment, a bit older, but everything ones need to get it done. Cool German Shepherd gym dog, pretty nice cardio equipment, and at various times not terrible crowded, which helps get in and out.

It's a fantastic gym allowing day walkins for travelers. It has everything you could ask for including a friendly staff.

Originally, my home gym is in Nevada, and I come to California every break I get between semesters. I have to say, after spending time looking for the perfect gym for myself, I found Pacifica Athletic Center.
I'm a competitive Powerlifter, so I spend most of my time prepping for different meets. This gym has everything I could ask for. All the essentials for my main lifts and accessories are here. Squat racks, deadlift platforms, a combo rack, and a cage to do everything I need to accomplish my numbers! The gym I previously attended did not allow chalk, but they allow it here as long as you clean up after yourself (Please always clean up)!
On top of all that, Tofer, Wendy, and the rest of the gym staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. This was a very important aspect for me as I could not find a top - notch staff at any gym I visited in SF, SSF, and South. They do their best to meet any important needs.
The location is a plus! Located about a 5 minute walk from the beach, I take a cold plunge in the ocean, walk back, and use the gym showers. I leave PAC refreshed, invigorated, and content every single training session.
This gym is my "home away from home." I know for a fact that as soon as I am back here in California, this will be my gym of choice! Thank you, PAC, for being amazing, professional, and kind to me in preparing for my next competition! I'll see you soon!

I really enjoy being a member of this gym. There’s tons of classes and the owners, and trainers, and staff are very helpful. There’s not a macho or pretentious vibe here, just people that want to get their work in and get on with their day. An awesome place to go!

Im a 52 year old mom and was slightly intimidated by Pacifica Athletic Center because it seemed more like a guy’s guy gym. My son goes there with his friends and loves it!! I started working out there recently and couldn’t have been more wrong as the gym is amazing for the ladies as well! There is so much support and a lot of women there. What I love about it is the sense of community. I’ve been training with Topher and he is spectacular!! I’m learning so much about proper weight training and proper alignment to be able to do the machines with confidence. The staff are so supportive and always available if you have questions. A huge kudos as well to the awesome music and the place is pristine and so clean! Loving the classes too. Five stars all around!!

Small business gym. Gets the job done for most of your needs. I especially like the fact that they don't play pop music like most other gyms do. Early afternoons are the least busy

Really great gym. Visiting from out of town and paid $12 for a day pass. Great equipment, friendly staff and members, and I got in a great bench press workout. I highly recommend Pacifica Athletic Center!

I am from Phoenix Arizona and visited the NorCal golf simulation center because I had a long layover at the airport SFO on my international flight and it's just like the web page described it. It's great and I love this place. The staff are very helpful. Thanks for a good experience! It's only a few minutes Uber drive and I was able to practice and get back to the airport with no hassle.

This isn't simply a neighborhood gym, this is a diverse, welcoming fitness community. No matter where you are on your journey to reach your health goals, there's a place for you here.
The equipment is not new and fancy; however, everything is clean and functional ... and the weights are just as heavy ;)
There is a bit of everything for everyone: group classes, personal training, cardio machines, a yoga room, a deadlift platform, powerlifting equipment and a small outdoor workout area. There's even a massage therapist on site! (she's good).
The treadmills are cool. They seem to absorb impact a bit better than the typical ones I've seen. They also have screens to watch videos or to go on a "virtual run".
The gym staff are friendly and helpful. They're always going around making sure the place is clean, stocked and looking tidy.
The general vibe of the whole place is respectful and welcoming.
Highly recommend.

I really like this gym to drop in and get a good workout when I;m in town. The machines aren't as fancy as the newer stuff out there but they are sturdy and well maintained. The price for a drop in workout is way less expensive all the other gyms around.

Update: I've been going there more often and it is a good gym, so updating my review. I now know that they have limited hours because they have limited patronage. Minus 1 star because it is always freezing inside and they leave the backdoor open even when it is cold outside.
The hours are just too limited. If I get off work at 6pm, there's no time to get a solid workout in by the time I commute back to Pacifica. Same situation for the morning hours. It seems like a lot of gyms in the Bay Area have very limited hours, even those that claim "24 Hour" in their name. Gyms anywhere else in the country would be 4am-12am or even 24-7. Friday late night gym sessions are some of my favorite and for that reason, I'm passing on this gym.

Nice homey gym. If you’re thinking of a local neighborhood gym this is exactly what you’d expect. Perfect place to get a workout in without the crowd. Came in after work at 6pm on a Friday, and it was pretty quiet.
Also, my fav machine is this fat jiggling thing right by the door when you enter/exit.

Didn’t think too much of it from the outside. As a local gym well off the beaten path in a small town it’s easy to miss. Inside, it was a different story. Well maintened equipment despite its age, kind locals, and a staff that was more than happy to strike up a conversation. If you’re in town and need something to do, $5 gets you in the door making it a cheaper option than most other gyms in the area.

Feels like home!!! I had to move out of the area due to rising rent prices and Covid shut downs. I’ve been looking for a gym close to where I live and still can’t find anywhere like this! This gym just feels like home! They have something for everyone! Classes, cardio equipment, matt room, amazing free eight area, powerlifting equipment!

PAC has to be one of the most versatile gyms in the area. This place is home to Powerlifting, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, MMA, Olympic style weightlifting, Bodybuilding, Pilates, yoga…the list goes on.
I’ve been able to try new things, break personal records, get stronger, faster, recover from injuries, learn from and train with others all in this one facility. They even have a massage therapist.
I have never had to alter my workouts because a piece of equipment wasn’t there. The free weights go over 150 lbs with multiple sets. Different types of barbells From Rogue Fitness, Texas Powerlifting Bars, ivanko and specialty bars.
Barbell plates fill up multiple weight trees throughout the gym, bumper plates organized near the platform and squat racks.
Staff and members are what makes this gym so great. Everyone really gets along, truly a judgement free zone and people genuinely want to see you succeed. If you ever need assistance with a machine or tips on working out people are always happy and willing to share their knowledge.
Bottom line, whatever your fitness goals are, PAC has everything you need to facilitate it. You just have to show up and put in the work

5 stars because this gym is awesome! I’ve always loved this place for it’s old-school vibe. You go in and there is 80’s and 90’s rock and metal playing, iron clanking, and just a no-nonsense, get-to-work vibe. The owner is an awesome person, there is a solid sense of community, the location is great and day passes are only $10! This is one of the only gyms in my area with powerlifting equipment -deadlift bars, squat bars, ssb, axle bars- which is a must if you train like a powerlifter! They also have plenty of cardio equipment, an MMA floor and an outdoor area! Check it out if you are on the coastside because it’s a dope place to train hard, take an MMA class or just get some cardio in!

Great place to get a workout in. Lots of space, squat racks, and even a dead lift platform. Every time I'm in the area I swing by to get my workout in. Beats any going to 24 hour, crunch, or anywhere else I've been in the area.
