Popped in for my first ever lesson in February 2024 and in the year that followed, spent over 150 hours here
So I can confidently say that this is the best place to spend your time in San Francisco: great community, friendly staff, easy learning curve, and all that SF has to offer right on the doorstep (Jedi duels, trivia events, live music, farmer's market, midnight run club, juggling club)
[November 2025 Update]
Like all good things, Park Padel Embarcadero has lost a lot of its shine. Its big brother in South San Francisco has become the priority, and the Embarcadero courts and programming have consequently fallen into rough shape. I still play here regularly (there are very few alternatives) but the quality is noticeably worse. Events and leagues are horribly disorganized. Community engagement is low, so group classes are frequently cancelled due to low registration. Court surfaces are unpredictable and uneven. Policies and subscriptions are inconsistently applied. The owners claim to be committed to improving these: if that happens (and I hope it does), I'll happily restore my rating to its previous stardom.

Disappointed with today’s social hour experience
I usually enjoy Park Paddle socials — they’re a great way to meet people and play fair, organized games. However, during today’s session, something quite unfair happened. My name was called for the last game, but two ladies decided among themselves to take my spot so they could play together, without even checking with me or the organizer.
This goes against the spirit of a social — everyone should get a fair rotation, especially when names are called out. It was awkward and honestly pretty rude. Thankfully, the organizer managed to adjust me into another court, but it still felt unfair and unprofessional.
I’d really appreciate if Park Paddle reminded players to respect the rotation system and not self-select games at the last minute. If people want to play together, they should communicate that ahead of time — not at the expense of others who also paid and showed up to play.

Booked a corporate session for 16 of us and Charles was fantastic, got everyone involved regardless of ability, and made the session great fun. Highly recommend for both corporate groups and anyone looking to try padel.

Awesome place for a corporate event. I organized an office outing for ~20 of us. We rented two courts for two hours. No one had played padel before. Everyone had a blast. Instructors/staff there when you needed it, but also was happy to just let us play. Highly recommend.

Love it! What a great location for Padel in the Bay Area. And if it is raining, try out the South San Francisco location with the indoor courts.

Park Padel went above and beyond for our company outing! The Team was extremely helpful in either training those of us who are new to the Padel world, or challenging those who are pro's. We were able to order a couple appetizers and set them up right outside the courts which made it super easy for folks to take a quick snack break between matches. We are 100% going to be coming back for another event!

While walking around the Embarcadero Ferry building area of San Francisco, I noticed a court structure near the Vaillancourt fountain. As I walked over to visit, I learned that Park Padel has been available in SF since November 2023. Although I didn't have time to play, the representative was very informative and helpful in explaining the Padel game and rules. The Park Padel court location is perfect for the Embarcadero and is creating a positive vibe to the area.

Recently hosted a padel tournament for our office and we had an absolute blast! It was the perfect way to spend time together in a new way that isn't just the typical happy hour and allowed for some friendly competition. Accessible for players of all skill level and a great atmosphere for those who want to hang out and spectate.
The team at Park Padel is top-tier and made the experience of planning and hosting the event seamless! Thank you to those who I coordinated with over email - Neil, Jessica, and Katie, for being so responsive and answering any and all questions we had. Not only was it super easy to reserve a date/time for the main event but many of us were brand new to padel so they helped get us set up in clinics and private lessons with their head coach Aitana in preparation for the tournament.
Every person (including myself) who was able to attend a lesson beforehand had so much fun getting familiar with the sport and it was a great way to build excitement before the tournament! Aitana is an awesome coach with a direct and encouraging coaching style!
During the tournament, Aitana, Maxine, and Kai were amazing! They helped to keep us all on track and were there to explain the rules of the game and tournament, guide us through check-ins, help call out match-ups, and keep score.
As the event planner it was so nice to be able to leave these details in their capable hands and just enjoy the festivities with my colleagues :)
Big thanks to the Park Padel for providing such a memorable experience!

Had an awesome time at Park Padel right in the center of Embarcadero Plaza! It's so cool to have such a chill spot outdoors for padel. The vibe here is thanks to Jess Neil and Katie, the owners, who seriously know what they’re doing. I've had the pleasure of meeting them through a few sessions and they are super welcoming and friendly. They’ve brought in some top-notch gear that makes playing here feel really premium. The courts are solid – nothing cheap or flimsy about them, which is a breath of fresh air.
I think the vibe here is all about making everyone feel welcome, whether you’re practically a pro or just picking up a padel racket for the first time. There is so much heart in this place, and it shows. Playing here is not just about the game; it’s about hanging out, meeting cool people, making connections, and just having a good time. If you’re into padel or just looking to try something new, you’ve gotta check out Park Padel. It’s a great spot to hit some balls and chill with friends.

I love Park Padel! As a tennis player and pickleball newbie, I have had a blast learning about Padel. It’s such a fun game to play and you can’t beat the view in front of the Ferry Building! The staff are fantastic and booking reservations is pretty simple. There are community playtimes available for non-members to try it out as well.
I definitely recommend checking it out whether you are a tennis/pickleball player or not.

I came here for a birthday party - we had the best time learning a new sport and hanging out! The Padel team is incredibly helpful -- they explained everything you needed to know to play as a first-timer, had all the equipment on-hand, and there was even a lounge area to hang out in between matches. They even helped us organize a mini tournament!
Highly recommend this for any company offsite, group hangout, or just for a Saturday afternoon activity on a sunny day. Can't wait to come back and play again!

I just had my birthday party here and booked out both courts. It was an absolute blast. If you haven't played Padel, it's akin to a cross between tennis and squash, but more fun IMO than either. Most of my group of a dozen or so had never played, and everyone had so much fun learning the game, developing fun skills like playing balls off the wall, and more. The location is unbeatable, the environment is great - they've got couches and lounge chairs to hang out in if you're not playing, and the proximity to the ferry building makes it so easy to come from anywhere, whether bart or ferry or driving. The staff is amazing, super helpful, with folks to help you learn the game or play with you if you don't have a big enough group for a full game. I can't recommend highly enough!

Padel is really fun, but the costs are so high that it’s inaccessible to 95% of the city. $50 for an hour of play time per person is wildly high, and it’s made even worse by the fact that within 20 feet are often homeless people sleeping on the ground. No doubt that it’s fun, but it just highlights issues with the city- why are we investing more in super high end activities when there’s more important issues. If anything, the courts should be moved somewhere less busy and expensive so that costs can be made accessible. They do have “community hours” which have lower prices, but it’s during the work day so the people that would need lower prices are most likely working (like myself).
