About the Club

Parkies Punch Back is a welcoming community where those with Parkinson's can attend classes or come for one-on-one sessions tailored to your needs.
Choose among the 60-minute Fitness & Boxing or 30-minute Boxing-Only classes or attend the 45-minute Movement Through Music class.
If classes aren't for you, consider 45-minute private workout sessions that can be seated, standing or a mix of both. I am proficient with Nordic walking poles, they are very beneficial to anyone with balance issues and those whose posture is becoming poor (e.g. Pisa syndrome). Learning how to use these poles can be a great help to anyone with PD.

Parkies Punch Back is an exceptional fitness program that combines boxing and weight training specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson's disease. What sets this class apart is the personalized attention made possible by the small class size, allowing each participant to get the most out of their workout.

Virginia, the instructor, brings innovation and variety to every session. It's clear she invests considerable time in planning each workout, as no two classes are ever the same. This keeps the training both challenging and engaging.

The combination of boxing and weight training is both fun and functional, creating an environment where participants can work on their fitness goals while managing their Parkinson's symptoms.

I highly recommend Parkies Punch Back to anyone with Parkinson's looking for a dynamic, supportive, and effective fitness program."

About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with PD. My doctors and physical therapists said the best thing that I could do for myself is to exercise.

I did a great deal of research and found Parkies Punch Back. I am currently taking one small group class and also doing a personal training session each week.

Virginia has been amazing. She provides well rounded training sessions that are challenging but not overwhelming. Virginia does a fantastic job of individulizing and tailoring the workouts to both my strengths and challenges. This is even true in the small group classes.

I couldn't ask for a better program!

I highly recommend PPB! Every class is different and challenging. Because the classes are small you get the attention you need to properly perform the exercises. Virginia is extremely knowledgeable and can adjust the workouts to each individuals needs. A friendly and welcoming group of fighters. Give it a try, you’ll wonder why you didn’t sign up sooner.

Parties Punch Back is great! Virginia makes each class fun while, at the same time, challenging each of us to our ability. It’s always a well thought out session….and it’s obvious that Virginia has put a lot of thought into making each class a balance of various activities to provide a well rounded workout.
