I took Chelsea’s reformer class at Pilates Platinum in Brentwood today and it was so fun ! She is a fantastic instructor. I will definitely go back. I appreciate how welcoming, casual, and laid-back the studio felt ! It was very clean and the machines all had ample spacing around them. Highly recommend !

This is my go-to Pilates studio, the machines all just got upgraded which is nice. My favorite instructor is Laura on Sundays! This studio is wonderful there’s always street parking and I always get my ass kicked (in a good way!)

Don’t listen to the negative review about Debi. If you want your form, stamina & strength to get better, she will absolutely help you achieve that if you are open to feedback & correction. She is direct and detailed. Maybe not everyone likes that, but as someone who’s priority is to get better & do it right- I appreciate her approach every time (even if I’m scared haha)

I absolutely love Pilates Platinum! The instructors here are incredibly skilled, supportive, and motivating. They really take the time to understand each person’s individual needs and provide guidance throughout the entire session. The workouts are challenging yet so rewarding, leaving me feeling stronger and more energized after each class. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the studio is always clean and well-maintained. If you’re looking for a top-notch Pilates experience with knowledgeable instructors who truly care about your progress, Pilates Platinum is the place to be!

I’m sorry.. but being rude to your clients/customers who are trying to learn Pilates is NOT it. Debi was horrifyingly rude to several women during my Pilates class there recently. A few of us looked at each other in disbelief.

I had been there once before with Jamie and absolutely loved it. She was so kind and patient since that was my first time doing Pilates. That’s the reason I’m giving 2 stars and not 1.

I wanted to start coming here as a regular but they lost me after Debi’s class. It’s really sad that she basically implied several times that we were stupid; “This isn’t even an advanced class, oh my god, what is going on with these people?” Then thinking her mic was turned off so she could talk rudely about several of the people in the class.

I don’t think it takes much to be kind to others. I’ve been to many, many workout classes and even boot camps in my life and this was by far my worst experience ever. If you come here, avoid Debi, but honestly just go somewhere else to do Pilates.

Booked an hour early. Spots were open but instructor wouldn’t let me join the class. Don’t know if there could have been a worse way of handling the situation.

Pilates Platinum is a great Lagree method studio. I’ve been taking Lagree classes on various versions of the “megaformer” since 2006, in London (at Heartcore), Miami (at Jetset), NYC (at SLT) & LA (at a variety of studios) and in all my years of taking class in this method, Mark Strong at Platinum pilates teaches the best classes. As an instructor he is technically detailed and will give clear verbal instructions and occasional hands on corrections that completely change the exercise & get you into the right muscles. After so many years and so many different studios, Mark’s classes transformed my workouts so that I was working harder and smarter. The results showed in weeks - I was actually using my glutes properly in lunges, he transformed my oblique work and my transverse / low ab work. His classes at Pilates Platinum BRENTWOOD are motivating - good upbeat music, well sequenced, technically precise, and his personality is humorous & energetic. I think he used to be a dancer and you can see it in his composure and focus as he teaches. His timing and use of music is excellent plus he pushes the class to stay focused, to work harder, but in a kind and funny way so you want to work. It’s the best workout experience I’ve ever had in terms of enjoyment and also effectiveness. After just two months there were visible differences in my abs and backside that I didn’t achieve in other people’s megaformer classes, or doing other workouts, including working with a good personal trainer for a year. Mark is a great instructor and pilates platinum has lots of locations in LA with convenient class times.

This outpost of Pilates Platinum is in a nice office building on Wilshire. The studio offers validated parking (75 mins for $1.50) so you can park in the lot in the building, although beware that if you go over your validated time, the parking is $2.35 per 15 minutes.

The studio is bright, airy and modern. There are nice cubbies to hold your stuff and stylish leather couches where you can read magazines if you come early. The machines are the first generation of the megaformer, the souped-up Pilates machines invented by Sebastian Lagree. What this means for you is that it's an amped up Pilates workout that will work every muscle in your body. Lunges, squats, push-ups, planks... you'll do it all -- on a moving carriage with extra resistance from the springs. The teachers are excellent, pacing the class so that you'll work one side, then do something else, then come back. The goal is to fatigue every fiber of your being. Bring a water bottle and a towel to mop up your sweat, you'll need both.
