Looking for a San Diego Pilates studio? PilateZENergy is a unique Pilates experience in Point Loma that is customized for you. Kate Medley (Founder) is a classically-trained certified Pilates instructor, and has been in this industry for 10 years. She takes client focus to a whole new level by offering private Pilates lessons by appointment only. Whether you are toning up, have pain or health issues, or are looking for more flexibility / endurance, Kate will guide you to fulfill your objectives. If you have found you are not receiving the benefits of Pilates, or have β€œplateaued” in your practice, then PilateZENergy is the place for you. We specialize in Reformer Pilates, Springboard, Jumpboard, Mat Pilates, and online Pilates classes.

Kate is awesome! I was constantly throwing out my back from two herniated discs from my football days. Kate tailored a plan specifically to target and strengthen the muscles around my core, back and glutes to support my back. After working with her consistently I have been able to golf, lift weights, etc worry free. Highly recommend!

I have been working with Kate for a few years now. I suffer from chronic Lyme disease pain/inflammatory arthritis and she customizes every workout based on how I’m feeling, what I want to work on, and what would be best to help my body. Kate is also extremely kind, caring and compassionate. She is very easy to get along with and makes her private sessions fun and enjoyable all while getting a killer workout in!

I have been working with Kate for a few years now and would highly recommend her to anyone new to Pilates, or someone with years of experience. She is patient, knowledgeable, has all the equipment, and most importantly she listens to you. Kate adapts her sessions to your needs, but she also provides the motivation to take it to the next level. I am in my 50s and work at a desk most of the time, and her sessions keep me healthy and in shape to do all the fun things I like to do (run, golf, tennis, travel, etc.). At the end of every session I feel balanced and energized. I am also a dog person, and have always loved Labradors. So being able to interact with her Silver Lab "Bleu" is a huge perk to every visit.

I've been working with Kate for almost a year and I highly recommend her. After practicing Pilates for nearly two decades, I know a good instructor when I meet one. Kate's one of the good ones! She's attuned to your body and its needs. She pays attention to form, makes sure you're getting what you need/want, even down to the music she plays for. I have been doing Pilates with Kate ever since she started at this location, let me tell you this is NOT YOUR REGULAR CLASS where there are 10 machines/ 20 people on the floor with no attention to YOU(and you end up in pain the next day). Everything about Pilates is very precise and there is a huge difference when you are the only person to focus on, and it's not an easy "ok class, now we are going into child's pose", I will not sugarcoat Pilates done correctly and controlled is freaking hard.. but every-time it gets easier because I truly am getting more flexible and stronger! Kate is one-on-one (or Doubles) and she really is dedicated to making all her attention on YOU and your specific body needs. Kate is there the whole way cheering you on, and is so amazingly knowledgeable about Pilates (and holistic health in general) you will be amazed. KATE WILL MAKE YOU FEEL MUSCLES YOU DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED. The greatness I feel with PilateZENergy only gets stronger like I do, because there is ALWAYS something new to learn and your muscles are always surprised. Do yourself a favor and make PilateZENergy apart of your life !!

Kate's Pilate's Class have been nothing but a win win for me. She makes her classes fun, but she also provides a great workout and exercise. I'm signing up for my third series of classes with my granddaughter. The results have been so encouraging! We love Kate. Highly recommend this class.

I've had several Pilate instructors over the years, but Kate is, by far, the best trained and most accommodating to my personal schedule. She is very thoughtful and intuitive about her instruction. Her studio is charming and beyond clean, also, accessibility to the easiest parking in the village of Pt. Loma.

I found Kate about 4 years ago and started taking her classes. I knew nothing about pilates however I stuck with it and really started seeing results and feeling much better. Shortly after she opened her own studio and I started with privates & semi-privates. I have injuries and she has helped me get stronger and leaner. I play a lot of tennis and do cross fit but frequently end up hurting my lower back. I found Kate at Pilatezenergy through a referral of a friend of my mine who said she is the Best! I was definitely not disappointed. Kate was super patient and knowledgeable and gave me great individual attention. I was a bit apprehensive at first not really knowing a lot about pilates but Kate definitely changed my mindset. I travel a bit so I am not able to go in person as frequently as I would like but Kate offers FaceTime sessions so I don't fall behind and am able to continue my practice while on the road.
Pilates has helped to improve my tennis game by giving me additional strength I don't get from crossfire! Thanks Kate for being the best!

I travel a lot and found Kate and her cute little studio near Shelter island in Point Loma, San Diego. It was a great alternative to the routine group classes as I wanted to be closer to where I was staying (shelter island) and get more personal attention in my practice. She was able to focus my pilates instruction on the specific needs of my body for the week I was visiting. Her flexibility in accommodating my schedule was great too. We used both reformer, some mat exercises and the spring wall. She tailored my instruction each session. It is a great atmosphere in a location with easy parking. Hope to have more opportunities next time I visit!

I have had a Pilates trainer since 2003. I have scoliosis and by committing only one day a week my spine is considerably straighter! I consider this part of the cost of Health Care. Kate is a great trainer and was recommended to me because she knows how to work with clients who have back issues like myself. She is diligent and knowledgeable and most important is FUN to work out with!

Training with Kate Medley has changed my life. A few years ago, I could have never imagined taking any kind of fitness classes, let alone Pilates with a teacher one-on-one. Now I can't imagine my life without it. Kate is so amazingly in tune with each of her clients, and she customizes every session to meet the physical and emotional needs of that day. No cookie-cutter approaches here. With Kate, it's personal, it's real, and it makes me smile. She listens. She observes. She engages. She cares.

In my opinion, Pilates is the gold standard for long term health and fitness for both men and women, especially when coupled with yoga. Group classes are great, and are an important part of a routine. But if you REALLY want to see results, it's the personal Pilates training that makes the difference, and no one is better than Kate Medley. Sure, it's an investment, but the dividends are HUGE; it's worth every penny!!

And when I'm on the road or can't make it to the lovely PilateZENergy studio, I train one-on-one live with Kate online. It's a fantastic way to stay on track with my health goals anytime, anywhere.
