This gym is always crowded no matter what time of the day you go. No one knows how to have respect and put anything back. Everything is always everywhere else but where it should be. It’s always messy with paper towels all over the floor. Definitely going to go to another location. It’s filled with high school kids who hog everything and just hang around not working out.

This new layout is cool for sure and the staff has ALWAYS been great but this one star is for one thing, the lighting. Its way too obnoxiously bright in there. Which upper management nuthead decision was to brighten up the interior to blind everyone still beats me. If your trying to elevate the experience and make a gym more like boutique/high end its all about lighting, otherwise might as well be working out in a big lot warehouse. Now the dust/dirt/defects of the equipment are also more visible, good job upper management.

It's been a while since I went to Planet Fitness in Alhambra. Machines are being worked on and Men's bathroom is outside, construction is being done so it is a good thing. Machines are worn down and the ones I used seemed to be getting stuck so lack of service of their machines. The gym was clean but this does not help when the Machines do not work right or the cushions are torn up. With 24 hour fitness offering the same deal of $25 a month and bring a friend, I may need to consider them not to mention the UFC gym opening in Alhambra soon. Get better Planet fitness.

Hello. Thank your for acknowledging my review. However, your response completely dodges the issue. Telling members to “reach out to management” is not accountability — it’s passing the buck. We’ve been forced to use outdoor portable toilets for over a month, when this was originally promised as a two-week renovation. That is unacceptable for paying members at a national gym chain.

I am not asking for vague updates. I am demanding accountability and fair compensation — refund or concession for this prolonged disruption. If you are serious about addressing this, either provide direct contact information for management or have them contact me directly (my info is already in your system). Very disappointed with this Planet Fitness location. The men’s bathroom and locker room have been under renovation far longer than promised. At the start, we were told the repairs would only take two weeks. Now it’s been over a month, and I’m being told it will be another month before it’s finished. That’s unacceptable.

In the meantime, members are forced to use a portable toilet outside — completely inappropriate for a gym charging monthly fees. The lack of proper facilities is not just inconvenient, it’s unprofessional and reflects extremely poor planning and communication from management.

If Planet Fitness cannot deliver the basic amenities that members are paying for, the least they should do is offer a concession or partial refund of membership fees during this disruption. Otherwise, this feels like a breach of trust and disregard for their customers.

Pretty well maintained gym and I enjoy working out here, but it’s just unfortunate that every time I go here more often than not I’ll see inconsiderate gym members that take up a bench or machine for 20+ minutes and spend most of their time on their phone. I literally observed myself finishing a full 4 sets of 10 chest press with a minute and thirty seconds rest periods and the guy next to me had only done a single set.

I’ve been a member here, but the parking lot situation is becoming unacceptable. Tonight, a car was parked improperly, sticking out and blocking the main driving lane. When I honked for them to move, the people came outside and started acting aggressive, throwing hand signs and telling me to “keep it pushing” instead of backing up like they should have. I called the police and reported it, and I also called the gym, but I’m really disappointed that there’s no security presence or visible cameras in the lot.

Honestly, this isn’t the first time I’ve seen cars just parked out there with people smoking or doing shady stuff. And the lighting is dim as hell, which makes it even worse. It does not feel safe, especially at night. Planet Fitness needs to take responsibility and install better lighting and surveillance cameras to protect members. We pay to work out, not to feel threatened walking to our cars.

I have been a black card user at Planet Fitness for a year. I can understand the boss's desire to make money, but I don't know the meaning of this free activity for 14-17 year olds. I only know that every time I come to the gym, I have to wait in the crowd for them to finish playing with their phones and move away from the equipment. Sometimes you have to wait for a long time. For a gym that prides itself on being “non intimidating,” their manager sure can make you feel uncomfortable. Times have changed and maybe before you would have to go in person to cancel. Nowadays, it is required by law in California to allow cancellation of subscriptions in convenient, non obstructive ways. The sign on agreement of this place even tells you that you can email or send a letter to cancel. Tried to call the gym to figure out the best way to cancel my membership without having to come in person because I have a life with responsibilities. I don’t have time to come in and listen to the staff try to upsell me when I’m juggling work, a child, and bills on a daily basis. Managed to cancel my membership online (it is possible folks) and left feedback on the male manager and receptionist who was extremely hostile and unprofessional despite me being as patient as I can. The manager proceeded to hound me on my phone. 4 calls. 3 of which I ignored but this man seriously could not take a hint. I tried speaking to the manager at first but I was met with “he’s in the bathroom so he can’t come to the phone.” I asked when was the best time to call back or if I could wait to speak with him. Receptionist goes “no you can’t talk to him because I said so.” Okay…??? I took matters into my own hands and cancelled my membership myself. Only then was the manager available to chat. 3 short minutes after I received the confirmation email of my cancellation, the manager was magically back in his office.

I was harassed over the phone and lowkey threatened: I was told that if I don’t come in, they will continue to charge me. I told them that I have proof of my cancellation and that I will dispute any unauthorized charge that comes my way. The manager goes “if you stop talking, I will tell you why you have to come in” which is crazy because no, I don’t need to come in. The problem has been resolved. Why are you wasting your time and breath trying to upsell me on something I don’t even pay for anymore. He honestly could be using his time better by addressing the lack of cleanliness, the mustiness of the air, and the multiple machines wrapped in caution tape.

The gym in general is fine and clean what I have an issue with is all of their workers are lazy and unhelpful. None of them want to help you. I have my black card and have no idea what I can use as far as the massage machines and stuff in the back. I expressed this to the workers and they didn’t even offer to explain it to me just said to go look at the machines and select one of them and made me go to the back alone to look at the machines while they went back to gossip and chit chat while I was visibly lost and confused. I really love how huge this gym is! There’s plenty of parking and sooo many treadmills, lots of weights, and nice staff. I don’t use the big fancy bar weights and I’ve never used the showers but I really like it here. Very clean and usually organized. It gets VERY busy after work hours but calms down late nights. Most people who come here are courteous about return equipment to designated locations so keep it up!

Whoever designed the showers in the women's bathroom must have never taken a shower in their life. There is no place to put your soaps! I use bar soap, am I supposed to just set it on the floor of the shower? Seems like a safety hazard. And also, like, this is a gym? Best planet fitness in SoCal. Really big gym with lots of weight and cardio machines. About 2-3x the size of others so there are plenty of machines. Gym gets busy after 2 pm but still a great environment. Uses same brand machines as La fitness and has the new hack squat, and incline and flat bench press that isolate muscles. Not just the standard smith machine or the sitting up bench and incline.

Very good price and good equipment to exercise. They just added some things on the wall. The T.Vs don't have sound that's one thing I hate about this place. They play some music and that's all. They got 20 TVs with no sound. They finally replaced the massage beds, and hydro massage lounges. The AC is too high with the ceiling fans on is too cold to workout anytime of day or night. You need a sweater, and sweatpants in here to workout. They also replaced all cardio equipment which is better. Overall it’s a nice gym to work out at but it can get crowded sometimes usually during busy times. The ceiling is all black, floors all black, lockers all black not that much seating. It can be better I think. Workers should be working cleaning the restrooms but they talk too much to each other in the front area. This gym has no ventilation from outside air I feel like I’m getting no air at all while I workout. Staff doesn’t greet even when you greet them. The lighting is bad and it will hurt your eyes wear a hat to cover up. The air ventilation is bad in here no outside air only AC at times and some big fan just blowing the air inside. But still no outside air. They have a lot of tvs with cable to watch tv while doing cardio which is a big distraction no sound. TV too close to each other. Whoever designed this gym really needs some help. All new equipment here nothing is used or that old. They have massage chairs and hydro massage beds which is a plus for black card members. The drinks are affordable they sell water and gatorades. Too dark everything is to spread out. No air conditioning no air feeling like I’m suffocating inside after 1 hour of workout. Staff is friendly and nice.

The wait times at some machines and the quality of equipment is to be expected for a budget gym like Planet Fitness. I don’t have an issue with that. However, the cleanliness in the changing rooms and, even more than that, the attitude of personnel, needs work. Often times, when checking in or talking to people who work there, I’ve felt like they have no interest or excitement whatsoever in being there and helping out. Most times, they’re just behind the front desk chatting it up among themselves and hanging out, but barely any attention to people checking in.
No smiles, no welcome, good morning, no enjoy your workout. Just barely a “go ahead, scan there”.
Also, There’s absolutely no effort at all in ENFORCING wait times or CHECKING ON time wasters. I’ve been in line for 20/30 minutes for a bench, watching people “using it”, which means they were sitting there and checking Instagram on their phone for 5/6 minutes in between each set. If people wanna be lazy, it’s ok. But in a limited-equipment gym, I would expect a bit of help from the staff to make sure people are actually using the equipment and not holding others in line, when just sitting and wasting time.

It's the closest location to me so I like going here for the convenience. The showers in the girls locker room don't have proper shower heads and the ones that are installed are pointed in weird angles. There is also nowhere to rest your toiletries when you take a shower and they have metal chairs in the changing area that don't fit the asthetic. Lots of out of order machines and there isn't bike parking for those who wish to bring their bikes to lock up. I do very much like the channels they have for the televisions. It's a great choice instead of the news compared to other locations.

First time in Alhambra, CA and this PF location. It was a big and well equipped location. Staff was friendly and they do clean on a regular basis. This is the first gym I've ever stepped foot on and it definitely was judgement free. As intimidating as it feels, it's a good place to work out. It's about trying to find the right time to go to use certain machines. Only downfall is the HS kids filming videos and other people who sit on the machines for periods on end watching shows and not using machines (this doesn't happen often). I've learned to just find something else because I'm not about to throw a fit. Maybe staff can be more visible on the floor to ensure no body is hogging the machine. I still give this place a 5 star review as this is just my personal experience.

In March, I went to my local Planet Fitness branch and completed all the steps to cancel my membership, thinking that would be the end of it. However, I noticed charges still being made to my bank account in May. I addressed this issue with the store manager, but unfortunately, the problem was not resolved due to a staff error. Additionally, I am now responsible for an extra $60 annual membership fee. I have to visit the branch again to ensure my membership is truly canceled. I urge all current and prospective members to double-check their accounts to make sure their membership status is properly updated to 'canceled'. This experience has been quite frustrating, and I hope others can avoid similar situations.

I have to say, that I am very DISSAPOINTED, I work for Cedars-Sinai and get Gym Discounts if we want to join in , but I had already made up my mind to come to Planet Fitness near my house, since the first time , I came in, I liked it ! Actually Loved it! And not to forget to mention Very very clean,BUT when I scheduled an appointment with one of the trainers, he REFUSED to show me how to use properly ONE machine I was interested in using, he said
" I CAN'T show u , You would have to schedule a class for that" , first I thought he was kidding, but for my surprise, he was NOT , he was totally serious! And that really bothered me , and specially because guess what?? He was training somebody who was newly hired!!! Girl up front had no customer service skills whatsoever. I wanted to ask a few questions about the company’s policy, whether or not my daughter would be able to change in the locker room without having to change in front of an adult male. I couldn’t believe what I have been seeing and hearing all over the News about Planet Fitness. Them letting grown males around little girls and women, naked mind you, in whats supposed to be a safe space, their dressing room!! I was trying to get her attention, but instead of being able to direct me or answer questions, she literally acted like I was slow or something. Just blatantly ignoring me while she talked/flirted with her co-worker. Looking straight into nothing, a thousand yard stare if you will.
Now I know not to bring politics to the gym or workplace, however, I do have VERY strong Christian beliefs. My whole family is Christian/Catholic. I have 2 important girls in my life one is my little girl as well as her mom. Now I would be devastated, if she were to go change with her mother, and they had no choice but to endure the sight of another man’s private parts. It would probably traumatize her. So again, after all I just wrote, I am still trying to figure out the policy and whether or not it’s true that women’s lockers have no protection. Do the men and women’s bathroom/locker room signs no longer represent designation? But more of a relic of the past? If so, us customers, including myself and my family, deserve to know! Until they are clear about this, I will not be taking my family there ever again.

良心品牌。比24hour La fitness好太多了。唯一的缺点就是没有游泳池。
加入的时候，有优惠，价格还便宜。设施也很好。而且我去cancel的时候，也没有为难我，迅速的帮我处理好了。
为什么他们很好我还是会cancel？因为每个人都有冲动，突然想要减肥，突然就不想动了。我想，下次我又要运动的时候，还是会来他们家开卡。而不是像LA或者24，还要被问搬家到哪里，要不要转过去？不要！我就是不想运动了！
对了，我是自己不想运动了。但是他们家真的不错。我还是有推荐其他想运动的朋友，这家真棒。
